Orthodontics gives Dr. Nick Valeri the opportunity to have a positive impact onthe lives of people of southeastern Wisconsin. He finds it extremely rewarding to see the positive effects a healthy and beautiful smile can have on a persons self-esteem and personality.

A native of Kenosha, Dr. Valeri graduated fromTremper High School before attending Marquette University in Milwaukee as a Pre-Dental Scholar. At Marquette, he was first in his class while graduating with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. From there, Dr. Valeri continued at Marquette University School of Dentistry and graduated magna cum laude with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2011. After dental school, Dr. Valeri decided to further his education with a two year residency in orthodontics at Marquette University. While in his residency, his research project was published in theEuropean Journal of Orthodontics: An investigation into the mechanical and aesthetic properties of new generation coated nickel-titanium wires in the as-received state and after clinical use.

Dr. Valeri considers himself to be a lifelong learner. He routinely attends continuing education courses and reads scientific journals to stay up to date on the latest techniques and technology including braces, Invisalign, 3D printing, and digital scanning. This allows him to give his patients the best evidence-based care possible.the

When hes not creating beautiful smiles, you can find Dr. Valeri spending time with his wife and two golden retrievers, traveling, and cheering on the Brewers, Bucks, Packers, and Marquette Golden Eagles.

Dr. Meghan OConnell is a Kenosha native and excited to be back in her hometown. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with degrees in biology and business and continued her education at Marquette University, where she attended dental school. During dental school, Dr. OConnell was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship with the Army and commissioned into the Army as an officer.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. OConnell completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Benning, GA. During this year, she specialized in all aspects of dentistry and garnered a strong dental foundation. Dr. OConnell continued to practice general dentistry at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, followed by deployment, providing dental care to soldiers in Iraq.

Following her specialized training, Dr. OConnell continued her military service as an orthodontist at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX, where she provided all types of orthodontic treatment, with an emphasis on severe malocclusions. She mentored and served as faculty at the San Antonio Military Medical Center Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program and Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program in San Antonio.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and WI Dental Association. Dr. OConnell enjoys working with patients to create beautiful smiles and finds gratification in seeing the confidence a beautiful smile creates.

After ten years in the Army, she is excited to be back home to help you create the smile you deserve. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, Claire and Ethan, traveling, and cheering on WI sports and the Louisville Cardinals.
