Dr. Moshe Benarroch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and received his D.M.D. degree in 1998. He completed a General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in 1999. In June of 2002 he completed 3 years of Periodontal and Implant training at the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital. Presently, he is an attending at the Veterans Hospital where he teaches the post-graduate residents 2 days a month. The three years of advanced training in Periodontics and Dental Implants focused on the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases and implantology. In October of 2002 he passed part I of the American Academy of Periodontology board exam becoming a Board Eligible Periodontist. In January of 2003, Dr. Benarroch was awarded the California Society of Periodontics award for research in bone regeneration.
I was very impressed with the friendly professional service. From the receptionist to the dental tech to the financial consultant. Dr. Benarroch was so kind and positive he really made me feel safe and comfortable. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get there it was well worth it. I highly recommend Valencia Periodontics!
Dr. Ian Pearson is a periodontist who specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease, hard and soft tissue augmentation, and dental implant surgery. Dr. Pearsons kind, relatable nature along with his excellent diagnostic skills allows him to develop a personalized approach to patient-centered care. Furthermore, he combines superb technical skills with the latest methods and dental technologies including IV sedation, autologous growth factors and laser therapy to minimize discomfort while maximizing post-surgical results.
Dr. Pearson was born and raised in Northern Virginia before receiving his Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from University of California, Los Angeles. He then attended University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and was awarded a D.M.D. degree cum laude. During his training at UNLV, his passion to understand the foundation of oral health drove him to pursue a specialty in periodontics and dental implantology at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, where he graduated as chief resident. Currently, Dr. Pearson is a part-time clinical instructor at UCLA School of Dentistry and lecturer at the West LA VA Medical Center.
Outside of work Dr. Pearson is a coffee/espresso enthusiast, beginner guitarist, and film photography hobbyist. On the weekends he likes to hike around the greater Los Angeles area, play tennis or golf.
Valencia Periodontics is one of the first in the area to offer the FDA-cleared laser treatment called the LANAP protocol. Dr. Benarroch is the best!!! I was told by my dentist that I needed and extraction and implant. I went to Dr. Benarroch because it's his specialty. The doctor carefully assessed the tooth rather than simply doing what was recommended. I was very confident in him after he took the time to be sure that yes, the tooth needed to be removed. I had been in so much pain and I was expecting more when he extracted it but he was finished before I knew the tooth was out and I finally had relief! No pain at all. A few months later (TODAY in fact) I returned for the implant. I had put it off because I was nervous how much it would hurt, but once again the Doctor did the procedure with zero pain. UNBELIEVABLE! Not only is he incredibly nice, personable and caring but his staff is the BEST! Everyone was kind and made me feel welcome and comfortable. I have not had the best teeth and always feel embarrassed getting my teeth looked at but I have to say this is the first time I didn't end up feeling embarrassed for the problems with my teeth. Dr. Benarroch and his staff are professional, warm and great at what they do. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was in agony with 2 exposed nerves when I went to see you guys. I was told the cost was 1600.00, which between myself and 2 of my kids we had to come up with upfront before the dentist even came in to work. They did numb me first, but all I could think about is 4 hours until the pain comes back. Then the work began to do 2 root canals and with her hands in my mouth she tells me this is only to remove the nerve. If I want a cap or permanent filling it would be another 500.00. My father was a dentist before he passed away so I know the sales technique used, but this was unbelievable. I told her no that I was quoted 1600.00 and I borrowed money to get this done. Do not go see these people. I still have a temp filling in my mouth even though I paid 1600.00 which was the quote I signed. She refused to do the work of finishing my root canal without another 500.00. I will never go back there and already contacted the BBB.

UPDATE: I went in for one last visit after my review below and I was very pleased with the way they treated me. First of all, there was no sign at the front desk of the customer service-challenged gal who'd caused my previously bad experience. Hopefully she's getting some proper training and not costing this business any more loss of customers. The doctor was great as always and the technician was very attentive and talkative- he really went the extra mile to connect with me, even sharing jokes and personal stories. No more weirdness about masks or other irrational covid protocols, which was a breath of fresh air! Overall a very pleasing experience worthy of two more stars PREV. REVIEW: I had treatment for a tooth here and I have no issue with the doctors or the quality of their work, they were great What made me decide to choose another periodontist in the future (should I ever need one again) is their covid-related protocols which are inconsistent and illogical, as well as their poor response when I provided my feedback. To start, they are very inconsistent when it comes to masks. I walked in several times without one, even had one-on-one conversations in a small office with their staff without any of us wearing a mask. Most of the staff at the front desk does not wear a mask, which is fine with me because, according to many scientific studies, masks do not stop the spread of an airborne virus that spreads through miscroscopic aerosols that easily pass through the fabric of the mask. However, it happened on two different visits when I walked in without a mask, was treated, and upon exiting the treatment room, the same technician who did not say anything about me not wearing a mask when I arrived is now suddenly insisting I put on a mask to walk out. Both technicians gave me the feeling that they were literally going to block my way out unless I put on a mask, after not even commenting about my lack of a mask when walking in earlier. Very strange behavior and this happened twice with two different technicians! Today I went in for a follow up and while the doctor was great, the admin gal at the front desk (I forget her name) did not handle my inquiries and feedback in a good manner at all, actually being snappy, quite condescending and unconcerned with the quality of my experience. I was actually asked to call in from the parking lot before going upstairs to my appointment, in order for her to tell me to go wash my hands before entering their office. This was absolutely ridiculous and insulting and at no time during this pandemic has a business ever asked me to wash my hands before going into their place. This was definitely the last straw for me as I didn't comment before on the lack of consistency with the mask, or the lack of consistency with taking one's temperature at the front desk. As I was telling this gal about my concerns she acted very defensively and only kept repeating that it's their policy. No attempt to hear any feedback regarding the policy, no attempt to explain why it's being arbitrarily applied, and no attempt to comfort a client who's clearly showing a high level of displeasure in that moment. Just repeating the same thing over and over ("it's our policy") and then saying "ok, this discussion is over" as if speaking with a child. You do not want people with this attitude running your front desk because they will eventually cost you paying customers, like this gal just did. Very unpleasant experience today and while I liked the doctor and the work he did (absolutely no complaints there), it was the administrative staff (and the strange behavior of the technicians as I described above) that eventually muddied what would have been a continuing relationship.

They were extremely patient with all my questions. Due to the amount of work needed for me they were able to give me multiple options that's worked with me. Valencia Periodontics was fantastic! Dr. Benarroch explained every step of the procedures and was so kind. The staff were always so friendly and cared about me. I was never afraid or in alot of pain. I always knew what to expect due to Dr. Benarroch and his staff guiding me all the way. Highly recommend Valencia Periodontics!

I went to Valencia Periodontics in bad shape. I chewed tobacco for 40 years and had severe bone loss as well as gum desease which had reseeded. All in all my mouth was a wreck. Dr. Benarroch performed laser surgery on my gums and for the next year did regular maintenance and cleanings. His staff is always professional and very courteous and friendly. Most important though. my teeth and gums are in great shape. I am so happy with my smile and the quality of service I have received at Valencia Periodontics. I'm a customer for life Thank you everyone

Dr. Benarroch really is the best! I was terrified to have my infected dental implant looked at, because I was sure my only option was to replace it. However, with just a couple of treatments, Dr. Benarroch was able to remove the infection and save the implant. Incredible! Aside from being a great practitioner, his office is always clean and comfortable. His office staff is both professional and personable. I've never had to wait for my appointments and the follow up is always top-notch. So happy to have found him.

I've never been good with going to the Dentist, but this Office is wonderful. I go every 6 months and always been very happy with my cleanings and the Doctor. I've even had 2 dental surgeries there and never had any problems. I would definitely recommend this office to everyone.
