Practicing since 1997, Dr. Rose E. Kim has been providing professional, efficient and friendly service to children of all ages. Highly educated and extensively trained, Dr. Kim received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed a general practice residency and a pediatric dental residency at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Kim feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. To keep up with the most current procedures and technology, she maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kathleen L. Mulcahey was born in Pomona, California, and grew up in Claremont. Her passion for orthodontics began in high school. After begging her parents for orthodontic treatment, she got braces. As she watched her smile improve, she found herself fascinated with the various techniques that the staff was using to make things happen. Once her braces were removed, she was shocked with how much better her adjusted smile made her feel. She got excited that as an orthodontist, she might be able to have a positive effect on how people viewed themselves, and thats when Dr. Mulcahey decided to pursue a career in orthodontics.
Highly educated, Dr. Mulcahey obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Toward the end of her time in dental school, she realized that she enjoyed working with children. When the opportunity to be a resident in the combined program for Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at UCLA, Dr. Mulcahey jumped at the chance. She has provided the highest quality pediatric dental care and orthodontics since 1998.
Dr. Mulcahey stays current with the latest advancements in her fields by maintaining memberships in many professional organizations. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
In her personal life, Dr. Mulcahey is married to her wonderful husband, Butch, who is a brilliant engineer. Together they have three lively and loving boys: Joey, Stephen and Michael. She finally got her girl when the family got their dog, Keelie, a Finnish Spitz. With three boys, Dr. Mulcahey spends a lot of time managing homework, sports practices and games, household affairs and such. But she loves music and currently sings in the choir, sings in the worship team and is the Director of Childrens Choir at her church. She also enjoys reading, walking and getting together with friends and family.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Debbie has been with Valencia Children's Dental Group since 2004. She has several years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in the back office as well as experience in billing, insurance, financial and treatment presentation in the front office. Debbie enjoys the pedo/ortho specialty and working in a fun, professional environment with an amazing team!
Danielle has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2007 and is working with us as an office administrator. As a mother of two children she stays busy in her off time and enjoys crafting. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Danielle is grateful to be a part of the Valencia Childrens Dental Group family.
Dana has over five years of dental experience in both the front and back offices. Married over 26 years to an LA City Firefighter, Dana is the mother of three adult children. She is a Breast Cancer Survivor who loves spending time with friends and family, camping, boating, cycling, reading and sports.
Stacey has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1992. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and the California Dental Hygienist Association. Stacey loves her job and feels so fortunate to work for great doctors as well as with an awesome staff. She loves working with patients of all ages to help them achieve their optimal dental health.
Staceywas born and raised in California. She grew up in Santa Clarita attending Rosedell, Arroyo Seco and Saugus. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University. Married with two daughters, Stacey enjoys running, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and FaceTiming her oldest who is away at Ithaca College. She also enjoys watching her youngest daughter's high school dance competitions.
Carol has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1994. She enjoys working with children and loves dentistry. Carol is a busy mother with two children. Carol enjoys biking at the beach, camping, and going to her kids sporting events. In her off time she also loves spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Dr. Kim and her team are amazing. They all did a phenomenal job by making our entire family feel comfortable and welcomed. Dr. Kim did a great job explaining the process for my child who normally has a difficult time at the dentist. She was patient and kind to my son. My payment plan was thoroughly explained before and after the procedure. My children have found their new dentistry. Thank you all.

Great staff! Front desk was super sweet and worked great with me on my insurance needs. Doctor and dental assistance did a Fabulous job with my 4 year old and making her comfortable. Super gentle with her.

Best Dentist ever!, as my child likes to refer to "My favorite dentist," she is always happy to go to her check-ups since she was 6 years old, Dr. Kim always takes time to talk to the kids regarding her procedure and makes them feel at ease; all the staff is nice and caring, and the rest is a bonus.

Surpassed my expectations by 1000%. I took my 3 children under the age of 6 here at same time and they made me feel like a celebrity. The front staff is amazing. Upon arrival Julie quickly greeted us and took us in no waiting. All 3 of her front desk: Julie, Alexa and Debbie are a gem so kind and attentive. Once they called us in Dr Kim quickly came to meet us and ask 1:1 questions/concerns about the kids. She had her whole team ready to take care of the kiddos X-rays and cleaning. Not only was Dr Kim kind, professional, attentive and knowledgeable but her entire team was too. Their cleaning process was a success thanks to Yuri, Vanessa and Kristy. They took pictures of the kids and gave them a toy. Once we checked out Debbie gave the kids sugar-free popsicles. My 6 year old son who hates going to the dentist asked me when are they going back. That's how great our experience was. Highly recommend this office for pediatrics.

We have been going to Dr. Mulcahey for 16 years. They always take us in on time with no delays. The staff is friendly, helpful and great with kids and parents alike. Dr. Mulcahey spent about 3 years straightening my daughter's teeth and it was an amazing transformation!! She communicates exceptionally well with my kids and makes them comfortable with every decision made. I HIGHLY recommend this office for ALL children's dental and orthodontic needs!

My children have gone here for 16 years! When my son was little he chipped his front tooth. Dr. Kim did a flawless job. No one could ever tell... and my daughter is almost done with her invisalign. Her teeth are so beautiful I highly recommend this place

Hands down the best dental experience I have ever witnessed. I want to be a patient but unfortunately, I'm an adult. The office is wonderfully designed and clean, the staff is incredibly competent and kind and Dr. Kim was excellent-skilled, friendly, and warm. Our hygienist was so great with my daughter (I wish I remembered her name!). They comforted her through the hard parts and explained as they went along. This is our for-ever dental office.

Best Children dental office. With the best dentists, and wonderful friendly and gentle staff. Very clean and professional. My older daughter was a patient since childhood dental and for ortho (braces) Now my other daughter 13 years old has been patient since age of 3 . I can go on about this office. Treat you like family. Most importantly are gentle and caring with children, and patient. That was very important to me as well as there expertise Dr. Mulcahey and Dr. Kim and staff , you are awesome!!

We've been coming to Valencia Children's Dental since our kids were little. The place is spotless and the ocean theme is so inviting. The staff is friendly and always ready to help and support us. We love that the dental staff treats us like family! We come for dentistry and orthodontics. We are very happy with the results of ortho care! And they treat adults not just kids! I'm getting ready to get Invisalign and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Valencia Children's Dental- look no further for a great dentist and orthodontist!

My family and I LOVE this dentist office. It is everything you need. Clean, convenient, wonderful caring dentists, orthodontist, and hygienists. The only place I've ever been to that makes going to the dentist as positive as it can possible be. Also my daughter has really learned to appreciate and take care of her teeth, and even aspires receive the cleanest teeth award and have her photo on the wall. Hey, if it keeps her taking good care of her teeth and flossing religiously, I'm all for it. Everyone there is so patient and kind too. My daughter was really nervous about having her teeth cleaned during the pandemic, so they really talked with her and explained everything so that she could feel totally comfortable and at ease. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office is. If you live anywhere in Santa Clarita, this is your place.
