Dr. Roan removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth and did an excellent job. I've never done well with either dentists or needles so I was extremely nervous about the entire experience, but he and his staff were great. A few days before my surgery I notice the area around one of my wisdom teeth was infected so I called the after hours line (it was a Saturday). It took a couple tries to reach him but when I did he phoned in some antibiotics that helped greatly. The day of, I explained to them what all I prefer to happen as they put in my IV (I tend to pass out when poked with needles) and it went perfectly- I didn't even bruise after which is rare. Recovery has been fine as well. I was feeling some severe, uncharacteristic (according to the info sheet they give) pain about 6 days post-operation and feared that I had a dry socket. I called the after hours line and either the operators at SGMC failed to call me back or Dr. Roan never answered his page. This was the only "negative" part about my entire experience and I don't fee it's bad enough to remove a star. I did end up calling first thing when they opened the next day and was able to walk right in to see him and be examined. Overall, for someone with low pain tolerance and a great amount of nervousness prior, I'm glad I went to Dr. Roan. The fact that they take tricare was the icing on the cake!

My daughter had oral surgery on Friday 4/2. I was very impressed with her care and treatment but what put the icing on the cake was to my surprise... 2 days later Sunday4/4 which was Easter Sunday they took the time to call and ask how my daughter was recovering from her surgery....... I have never experienced such a caring and personal practice as this.... you will never find better service, trust me we are military and we have been everywhere and never experienced this.

I drove from Jacksonville, Florida per Dr. Roan was so highly recommended by my dentist. I had a very complicated and severely impacted wisdom tooth for which my dentist felt Dr.Roan was the best oral surgeon for the task. Upon my initial consultation with this good doctor, I knew I'd found the perfect professional not only in experience, wisdom and credentials, but also the best fit for my personality(I get extreme anxiety over surgeries that require general anesthesia). Dr. Roan was so patient with me and addressed all of my concerns - continued to listen to me even when I was sick of listening to myself:) He had a humility that is so rare in specialists of his level!! The office staff were diligent, expeditious and their follow-up was impeccable. It was stellar service from start to finish!! I don't usually lament in reviews like this, but I had so many life changing issues going on in my personal life that I will be forever grateful to them for taking such great care of me and making their part painless during a difficult time. I highly recommend Dr. Roan and staff - they were A M A Z I N G!!

I would not recommend going here if you have anxiety. Dr. Roan was very rude and insensitive towards me. I was scared of the iv sedation and started crying when he tried to put the iv in and he kept telling me to be quiet and talked down on me and told me I needed to find someone else and to never come back. It would have been fine if he calmly talked to me and made me feel better but he just made the situation a million times worse.

Just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Staff and doctor did great job. Sucks I can't eat regular but not their fault.
