Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I've been a patient of Dr Mantena for many years. She is great....unfortunately she is never in the office....if you have an issue it will more than likely become infected before you can see her... I was under the impression that in order to have a dental practice you needed a dentist...apparently I was wrong

Horrible!!! Worst dental office I have ever been to. After very painful measurements that lasted hours made a partial, a bridge, and a replacement front crown none of which lasted but a very short time. Injections to numb my gums were the most painful I have ever had. All at a cost of$3100.00 dollars. None of these items are in my mouth.

This place is really not it. When my significant other was in the waiting room, all the receptionists only talked about upselling their patients with unnecessary things. It almost seems like they're more salespeople than receptionists Furthermore, it takes almost 3 months just to get an appointment in and they will cancel said appointment if you don't confirm it. Lastly, when you finally go in for even a teeth cleaning it's super rushed and they practically hurt you every time they scrape with little to no consideration for the gums. (P.s. Vacaville dentistry if you're reading this, please actually put fluoride on all the teeth and not just put it on the front ones if you're gonna overcharge for it)

0 stars- Whitney one of the receptionist , absolutely the worst , very rude and disrespectful attitude.nurses there are nice , but the work gets done in a hurry and not right , temporary crown that was placed on me fell off the very next day . They always upselling telling you to get this and that done . Also I paid for dental guard and haven't got it .

Worst place to go. They do everything fast and wrong. And then when you have to come back to get it fixed again they take 3 to 6 months to book just an app while you wait in pain. So then you have pay another place to get it fixed.

A really bad experience with the Endodontist she doesn't know what she is doing. I'm still in pain since October don't go here for root canals. I thought this was a nice place but I was wrong I kept getting disappointed by everyone there.

I scheduled my appointments over six months ago and they called me six days prior to my appointment to cancel it and said I can try again in 5 to 7 months or go somewhere else. It's very difficult for me to get time off from work so this is pretty frustrating.

Everyone is very nice but you do have to sit and wait a long time for ortho. When Dr. Lee was here things got better now he's gone and I'm back to waiting 20minutes to and hour for my daughter to even be seen

The staff in this office are very nice. They try to accommodate you. BUT, their oral surgeon is the worst surgeon I have ever had. I've had a ton of work done. The original surgeon they had was great. The one there now does not know what gentle is. He needs to go back to dental school. Three time now he had pulled some teeth and has left me in a ton of pain and my face completely bruised. Feels like he is using a jack hammer! Their lab is the slowest and worst lab I have ever dealt with. Partials and now partial dentures. Everything is in large protruding clumps and feels like I have very rough sand paper in my mouth. Gums bleeding! Feels like miniature knives sticking me in several places. I'm about to ask for a full refund and go elsewhere. Please beware. Cleaning and minor cavities by dentist are fine. Don't use their oral surgeon or their lab for partials or dentures.

This review is actually about 2 years overdue. Two years ago I had been to another dentist office in Vacaville and had a nightmarish experience. Fortunately for me my employer expanded the dentist selection to include Vacaville Dentistry & Orthodontics, and 2 others. After reading the reviews and comments throughout social media and yelp I went ahead and made the switch. When I had my first appointment I wasn't completely enrolled in their office through my employer but when I shared my experience with the other dental office they went ahead and let me have my initial exam. The office staff was very friendly and kind. When I got called back (I keep a journal in case anyone reading is wondering how I have such a good recall) the dentist listened as I shared my nightmarish experience at the other dental office and the "plan" they had for my teeth. She had the x-rays done and then did the exam. She debunked every part of the "plan" the other office had come up with. Said that aside from 2 cavities I was fine. They even cleaned my teeth even though I wasn't yet fully enrolled. We scheduled the appointment about a month out to let enrollment fully happen. When I came in for the cavities I got checked in and called back to the room right away. The work was done efficiently and no problems! The office is very clean and the staff are all amazing! 2020 I wasn't able to get in for obvious reasons (COVID). This year I decided it was time to get back on track with my dental and made my appointment in May. Went in to have 2 teeth looked at and get my cleaning. They shared that the pain was being caused because of the tooth was mostly filling and not much tooth and the nerves had enough and needed root canals. This is my only complaint is a month ago I had my root canals. The endodontist did a poor job of trying to numb the one tooth and I experienced most of the feeling. But overall afterwords they made sure I was okay and got some pain killers for me. Apparently I had inflammation of the gums at the one tooth and thus it was a "hot tooth" and numbing wasn't working. Yesterday I went in to get my temporary crowns. The appointment went quite well and the I was properly numbed. By the time both teeth were taken care of the numbing wore off so I was able to go home without having to wait for it to wear off. Overall I love this dental office and I'm thrilled to have found it. Unless I lose my dental insurance I can guarantee I'm a long time client!

My wife had a bad experience there with an oral surgeon. She was scared to get her surgery done and when she was on her way home she called me crying. She was shaking and the surgeon told her to stop shaking and being nervous because it'll make everyone else nervous. He's quick to take your money but not very quick to being comforting to his clients. The positive side to her experience was the nurses being very kind and letting her know "don't worry about him". Yikes. Hope y'all have better luck with that guy.

I do not recommend the oral surgeon here. I will not go into details but I will say I found him to be completely rude, and unprofessional. He actually accused me of something completely untrue, and when proof was given there was no apology. He would not communicate, does not listen. I would not recommend him to anyone. If he can't get his information straight, is rude and won't listen why would I allow him in my mouth! After I returned home I told my husband about what happened. He said he was rude when he did his root canal. I thought about it and he was rude to me about 2 years ago. I left in tears that time. But he was in another office at that time. 3 experience with this man and three BAD experiences. There is much more to this but the bottom line is there were SO many better ways he could have handled this! But to accuse someone of something unfounded, that was the end for me. Compete mess that could have been avoided if he cared about people. Sorry I do have some standards and will not post his name. But if you know me, reach out to me. My advise if it doesn't feel right and he seems rude, then leave, he doesn't get any better.

Absolutely the best dental office I've ever visited. My appointment today was right on time as usual and I love the personal friendly greetings. My Hygienist Nicole was outstanding and informative. Taylor H once again always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. You never feel like just a customer/patient. For my Orthodontics appointments Tonya is friendly and funny. They are simply the best. I highly recommend this office.

I've enjoyed my visits here (so far as trips to the dentist and orthodontist can be enjoyable). I feel like the cleanings are thorough and I receive quality treatment from the orthodontist. The staff has been very helpful with scheduling and rescheduling appointments as needed. Thanks Tanya, Jordan, Taylor, Heather, and others.
