A fixture in Northern Virginia since earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in 1997, Dr. Ahmadiyar comes to work every day with a smile, knowing he will make an essential difference in the lives of his patients. He is passionate about helping people attain great oral health, giving them the smile they want, and making them smile and laugh. Most of all, Dr. Ahmadiyar wants to help people feel good about themselves.
Dr. Ahmadiyar attends continuing education meetings every year to stay current with new technologies and techniques that developin dentistry. Becauseit is a rapidly changing field, it is crucialto Dr. Ahmadiyar to keep up with the newest treatments and research to provide his patients with the highest quality and most up-to-date dental care.
Dr. Ahmadiyar and his lovely wife of more than 25years have three amazing children. His oldest is attending the University of Virginia starting in the Fall. When he is not at work, Dr. Ahmadiyar loves spending time with his family, being outdoors, hiking, biking, and gardening. He loves to travel and learn about new cultures and meet new people!
Dr. Motamedi attended Georgetown University for three years of college before transferring to Case Western Reserve University toobtainhis Bachelor of Science in 1987. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Case Western in 1989, served a surgical residency in periodontology and implantology, and received hisMaster of Science in dentistry in 1992.
Dr. Motamedi attends numerous continuing education courses offered by local and national clinicians and institutions, including the American Academy of Periodontology, Geistlich Biomaterials, and ZimmerBiomet Dental implants. His continual learning keeps him updated onthe latest technological innovations and techniques to attain improved treatment outcomes and provide optimal care for his patients. CE fosters his love for learning and allows him to provide the best possible care.
Dr. Motamedi grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, and has lived in Fairfaxfor 21 years. He and his wife of 26 years have two daughters who are both pursuing medical professions: Vida attended the University of Virginia and Leila is at the University of Miami. He also has a Bichon Frise dog.
The best part of being an orthodontist is the satisfaction I receive when I see the continuous improvement in the physical and emotional well-being of my patients. Dr. Ibrahim Y. Alhussain received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his orthodontic certificate in 2006 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he was designatedThe Advanced Standing Resident.
His journey into the dental field started in France at the University of Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He proceeded to receive an orthodontics degree and logged six years of experience as an orthodontist before moving on to advance his career in the United States.
Dr. Al served as a faculty member at the University of Louis Pasteur and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as lecturer atvarious international orthodontic meetings. He was also a member of the craniofacial team of Professor Lacoste at Louis Pasteur University Hospital, which treatedpatients with cleft lip and palate.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is also a member, among others, of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, Friends of the Dental and Craniofacial Research, and the European Orthodontic Society.
In addition to being committed to his family, Dr. Al, a Virginian since 1998, has been serving the Northern Virginia community by raising dental health awareness in local schools. He is a member of the Smile Train Charity Group, a charity near and dear to his heart that provides free cleft surgeries for children around the world.

We found our new dentist office! They are extremely thorough here. They pointed out cavities for both my husband and me that our previous dentist either missed or was too lazy to deal with. Glad I came here before said cavities get bad! The staff is also wonderful and very welcoming. They make you feel like their friend as oppose to their patient. They are gentle and kind as well. This office is fairly new and took over for a previous dentist. Please give this new office a chance. I highly recommend them!

The staff and dentists at Lake Ridge Smiles was wonderful. This practice took over for another practice that was here before they are NEW. My daughter and I both are seeing the dentists for various things and every time we are made to feel comfortable. Donovan the assistant has a way of putting a patient at ease and I adore the receptionist Catherine she is super friendly. My daughter has a panic disorder and not once has she had a problem and she has to go once a week right now. I highly recommend this practice. Dr. Kholi and Dr. Kirschner have a friendly smile, and give you a full plan on what they will be doing to your mouth.

They are the best dentistry I have ever been to, no exaggeration. Everyone is always amazing and my issues are addressed with care. I feel like they listen to my concerns and take the time to make sure I am informed in my treatment plan. Every time I leave I am certain I got the best care possible and there is no question in my mind they did the best job possible with my needs in mind. Seriously, they are all wonderful, look no further for your dentist.

Dr. Kirsch and assistant Donovan are so wonderful! Pleasant, understanding, and SO patient thank God -as I have a big fear of anything dental related and get very anxious ! They made me feel at ease and were very professional. The whole staff is super nice event front desk. Would highly recommend.

I recommend going anywhere but here. The dentist will not do filling. He only wants to do crowns. I have needed 4 root canals since seeing him because he refused to fill my cavities. The front desk literally harasses everyone to make sure they can afford to pay before they get treated. This clinic is completely about money and nothing about the patient.

Due to moving 20 minutes south I decided to try this dentist closer to our home. The dentist told me that I have 9 cavities! Considering that I've only had one cavity in my life, I was a little suspicious, so I called my old dentist to get a second opinion. After an examination, my old dentist informed me that technically I had cavities, but a sort that my body had/would naturally take care of. He said that fillings would be unnecessary especially since calcification had naturally occurred by my teeth's own enamel repair. I am so thankful I got a second opinion and did not get 9 holes drilled into teeth that were fine and saved hundreds of dollars My husband got his teeth cleaner two weeks later at our old dentist. I received our EOB in the mail and our cleanings were covered the same by our shared insurance. I received my bill in the mail from my cleaning. It was $55 higher than what my husband paid. I will be making the trip up to Fairfax in the future.

I can't remember the dentist name but he pulled my tooth on 3/17/21 he was so patient and so gentle. The lady that was there was a real big help for me as well she was very comforting. When I left I felt reald and I'm looking forward to come back and stay the procedures for my partials. I like to also mention that the staff that greets you when you come in are the best
