Long waits for appointments, but the service and quality of care have been great!

I also have the same results as far as trying to schedule an appointment. I've been calling for a week and no luck. It just rings until it hangs up by itself. I am really nice speaking to anyone but this is so frustrating, considering my tooth is in so much pain. I wish I could report this popular issue to someone

If I could leave 0 star I will. This was the most Frustrating experience I've ever had. Called 100 times no one answered. I driven there saw the three front desk ladies were sitting there talking and chilling. Tried to make an appointment, the front desk lady was so inpatient and told me they can schedule me 8 months later! 8 months!

I have been calling for weeks due to a broken tooth. I have had nurses send messages for a call back and nothing. I live an hour away and it is not convenient to drive an hour to and from just to schedule an appointment. I highly doubt they are that busy because clearly they are not scheduling appointments. It breaks my heart that this is how we are treated. We can't even get access to care. You think access to care would be the bare minimum.

Ok so everyone is right, they DO NOT answer the phones :( but that's literally the only downfall. The service was fast and EXCEPTIONAL from Mirna at the front desk to my dental assistant Hetal Darji. I came in today as a walk in emergency because a tooth on my bridge broke off and I was in pain when trying to eat and worst of all looked crazy missing a front tooth. Mirna helped get me seen quickly by Hetal & the dentist she assists. At first they were skeptical if the tooth could be patched back in as a temporary fix until I can get a scheduled appt but Hetal did it effortlessly! Took her 10 min! She was great and super friendly. This woman genuinely cares about veterans bc she went above and beyond. The whole staff seemed really nice and I would certainly come back for services. They should really get someone on those phones though bc everyone is not fortunate enough to spend gas or money just to come schedule an appt for a later day so I can understand the frustration. I was desperate so I drove without knowing if they could or would even see me.

The Director and Assistant Directors of the Veteran Affairs of Georgia should be embarrassed. Good luck trying to schedule a dental appointment. Your teeth will probably fall out first. I decided to drive to the clinic to find out why I can't schedule an appointment. I arrived and these ladies were sitting behind the glass. The waiting room was completely empty. I asked one of the ladies why they don't answer the phone, she replied that they are short people and there's only 3 receptionist working. It's just plain laziness. It's hard to believe that the VA in Georgia is ran this way.

I was trying to reach the dental clinic the phone just rang and rang. That's so unprofessional and disrespectful to veterans.

It's hard to get an appointment but the care here is excellent. I got an exam and dental cleaning on the same day! Excellent service with Andrea, Tonya and Dr. Wang. They sure know how to treat veterans at the facility.

It's true. They don't answer their phones. I was able to get an appointment through my Voc Rehab counselor. I was seen but they didn't know how to work with voc rehab so they sent me away stating that they would call me to schedule my next appointment. They haven't called. It's been over a month. I have called multiple times to see if I can make a follow up appointment so I can actually get what I need done but the line always hangs up mid-ring. I will need to drive 45 minutes to go in person to make an appointment eventually.

In severe pain and can't even get anyone to answer the phone. It just rings and eventually hangs up. Never had this issue with the VA in Tampa. Atlanta VA needs to take notes from the Tampa VA on how to take care of their veterans. Is there anywhere else veterans can go for dental care?

I am not sure why the phone continues to ring then it disconnects but I see this is a common issue. I used to receive VA healthcare in Boston and they were excellent. The ATL VA dental does not even answer. Can you even go in to make an appointment or do they not answer the door either? Unacceptable, if you're booked out then at least just answer and state that!

I've called multiple times to schedule an appointment and no one answers the phone. It is extremely frustrating to have to deal with this unprofessional institution. As disabled veterans, we deserve better than this. I've spoken to representatives at the call center to see if there is any other way to contact VA dental, and there is no other way. I don't even know who to call to file a complaint about this. I will probably have to drive in person to get scheduled in. I hate the low quality health care that the Georgia VA offers its veterans. I've never had to deal with this type of unorganized VA healthcare while living in CA. CLEARLY VETERANS ARE NOT VALUED HERE.

The dental clinic has not been seeing veterans during the pandemic. I have been told the only way to be seen is if u are getting a tooth pulled. The clinic has totally neglected veterans in need for dental services.

Please somebody tell me WHY is so difficult to link communication when you are in urgent need of VACC. It's been a week since I was told I would receive a call for an appointment for IV sedation dentistry. Imagine my pain! I'm suffering and waiting, then I receive a letter telling me they are trying to contact me from V A. I have answered every call or missed call on my phone, and I try calling back to the extension on the letter.TheV ACC extension tells me they are having technical phone issues and send you to a voice mail. I cannot Reach anyone! All of the VA call center people re-routes to the extension provided and no one can help me with further instructions to receive Dental Care under VACC. This is AWFUL and all I need to know is where to go . CANsome real live person PLEASE help me with a POC to resolve this issue in Atlanta?
