For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.
Dr. Tamdan Vodinh was born and raised in Vietnam. She moved to the United States of America while she was in her teen and has made Montgomery County her home ever since. Dr. Vodinh has been practicing dentistry for over ten years. She graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and School of Medicine with a bachelor degree in Medical Technology. Dr. Vodinh received her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Howard University, College of Dentistry in 2006. While attending dental school, Dr. Vodinh was induced to Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She also completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland, Dental School. She is a member of Academy of General Dentistry professional society, an organization dedicated to advancing dentists knowledge through continuing education. Dr. Vodinh also had volunteered to provide dental care pro bono in remote areas of undeveloped countries.
Dr. Vodinh provides comprehensive and personalized dental care for patients of all ages to help each person achieves his/her own individual goal. Her motto is Taking care of your families like our own. Her goal is to provide high quality service with gentle care in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment, where her patients needs will be her top priority. She strives for each patient to achieve long term, beautiful, excellent oral health. Dr. Vodinh enjoys all aspect of dentistry from preventative to complex cosmetic dental procedures. She advances her professional growth through her commitment in continuing education. Dr. Vodinh regularly participates in continuing education courses throughout the year as a way to maintain the best quality and customized treatment for each of her patients. Dr. Vodinh is currently obtaining her Fellowship in advanced studies from Academy of General Dentistry and orthodontics certification from Progressive Orthodontic.
Dr. Vodinh speaks fluent English and Vietnamese. She loves traveling to new places, practicing yoga and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Vodinh looks forward to meeting you and your family.
I enjoy working with Dr. Vodinh because I know she will always do the right thing. I believe our patients know they can always trust her to do whats in their best interest. I previously worked as a Pharmacy technician for CVS/Pharmacy for three and half years. To continue my endeavor, I have decided to pursue my career in dentistry. I studied to become a dental assistant at Hands on Dental Assistant Training school of Dentistry in 2017 and received certification in radiology. I also speak Spanish fluently and can translate for our Spanish speaking patients. I am currently finishing up pre-requisites in order to transfer to University of Maryland, School of Dentistry for a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. My ultimate goal is obtaining my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
I recently started working with Dr. Vodinh as the front office receptionist. I look forward to speaking with our patients every day whether its over the phone, through email, or in person! My goal to ensure each patient feels welcomed and comfortable as soon as they enter our doors.
I grew up in Damascus and Ive had the same group of friends since I was in elementary school. This has largely contributed to my passion for close-knit, personal relationships. I enjoy spending my spare time with the people closest to me and I am always ready for an adventure.
I started working with Dr.Vodinh first as a shadower and became a dental assistant. I took a dental radiology course from Hands-on Dental and earned my certification in dental radiology. I am always excited to meet the patients, old and new. I hope all our patients feel comfortable while they are at the office with our team.
I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. I am currently applying to dental schools to further pursue my interest in the field of dentistry. I hope to gain more experience and continue to learn from Dr.Vodinh and the team to better take care of our patients.

I just started going to Dr. Vodinh. She is very friendly and kind and gave me great tips of how to care for my teeth. I thought the office was clean and bright. From the outside it looks like an old house but the inside is different. The only reason I didn't give her 5 stars is because the practice is very small- just Dr. Vodinh and a part-time hygenist and assistant. It took about 1.5 hours for my daughter and I to get our teeth cleaned. And I will have to wait 4 months to get my cavities filled. I guess she is very popular! Overall, a pleasant experience.

If you are wishing to have it all -affordable, excellent service and proficient dental work, then yes you will certainly receive that. But, if you truly wish to have an enjoyable -yes, enjoyable- experience as well as a set of teeth that you will be happy about, with absolute minimal discomfort in the process, then Dr. Vodinh has the master level skillset and quality of care you are looking for. No, I am not paid for saying this; it is just that after 20 years, I finally found a dentist "better than my favorite one, before he retired" -and I wish Dr. Vodinh and all of her equally wonderful staff all the best, for many many more years to come. Thank you being my new favorite dental office!

So far, I've had a great experience with Utter Dental Care. Everyone is very nice, easy to talk to and ask questions. My biggest problem with other dental offices is the reception desk. I've been misinformed before with regards to my insurance and ended up paying for more than I needed to. However, the staff at Utter dental are clear, attentive, and provide me with proper expectations for each visit. I highly recommend them! (:

Very professional, friendly staff. Dentist really works with me to improve my hygiene/gums health instead of ordering aggressive treatments and over diagnosing cavities (which other dentists used to do) Also very importantly, never waited more than 10 min. Thinking about bringing my kids as well as waiting time is so short Really recommend this dentist!

Dr. Vodinh is thorough, kind and attentive to details for patient comfort. The staff has been there for the years I have been going there and that says a lot about her also. It's a small practice (only Dr. Vodinh) which I prefer. Also, She was willing to see my disabled son once when many of the other practitioners I called would not (his special needs dentist in Baltimore was closed for Covid)

Disclaimer: This is not a paid review. This review is based solely on my experience at Utter Dental Care. It takes me usually about 3 years before I write reviews as I would have vetted the organization well. I came to Utter Dental in October 2018 to give them a shot after having tried so many sophisticated dental facilities here in the DMV area. The first thing that caught my attention was Dr. Vodihns extreme carefulness when she worked with me. I have been to many dentists where I leave sore and worse than I came but Dr Vodihns thoughtfulness and care was the first thing that stood out to me. Secondly, I was coming there after an extraction so I needed an expert care and advise on an Onlay or Crown. After the necessary examinations and x-ray she advised an Onlay was the way to go now. I sensed immediately her goal was my well being and not just in business to make money. She communicates with you, reviews the x-ray with you and gives you her expert opinion on what she thinks is the best approach to your situation. No gimmicks to reap money over and over again. Thirdly, she works with some amazing young people (Brittany, Pedro, Shaun, etc) that understand care, customer service and business as a whole. Fourthly, Dr Vodihns voluntary work stood out. We are in a day and age where it's all about money and people hardly do any voluntary work or work for nothing but she does these voluntary dental works every year where the office is closed and societies in another nations also get to benefit from her benevolence. We moved but made a decision to still come to Utter Dental for all our dental needs. If you're looking for a great dentist that truly cares, look no further please.

Dr. Vodinh, Pedro and Brittney have been great to work with! I came in with a complicated case. Dr. Vodinh recommended wonderful specialists to assist and then helped to organize my care between the three of them, making sure I was always aware and comfortable with the next step in the process.
