Reviewing the North Ogden location in particular. It's very unprofessional and uncomfortable. Dr. Young is great and very kind, and so is the team member that does your initial consultation, she's very kind, they are the only reason I gave anything more than 1 star. The team member that mans the front desk is so rude, and the other dental assistants have no idea what they are doing, they are definitely learning as they go. The last 2 appointments I've had, I was there for 2 hours!!! Yesterday I had an appointment at 9:30, i arrived at 9:20 and didn't leave until almost 11! The lady at the front constantly has her head buried in the desk or crunched up on the phone. She "forgot" to check me in, and after I finally watched everyone going back I finally asked why I wasn't taken back and then she checked me in! It was an hour later but I tried to be patient. Their office seems to bite off more than they can chew. It is always full! Not just of people coming in for tightenings but other people getting braces on or getting a consultation so it is always busy and Dr. Young is always running around. It doesn't leave a lot of time to ask questions and the assistance are always rushing. They don't go back and fix mistakes. They just tell you to wait until it starts to bother you and then come back. I finally asked them to transfer me over to the Roy location, so I am hoping I have a better experience.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who may have sensory issues or trauma surrounding your mouth. The staff that change your bands/tighten etc. are not well trained they seem to be learning as they go. I had a new associate rotate my tooth the wrong way which added an extra month to my time because they had to rotate it back around the right way. When asked if I wanted to have another oral surgery, and I replied no because I have PTSD I was told "don't be a baby". I left an appointment sobbing because of how horrible one of the girls treated me, she was doing something invasive and painful for a tightening and she kept telling me to open my mouth wider but I was opening as wide as I could, it took everything in me to hold back my tears, turns out I have very tight/small skin that helps my mouth open so it's a struggle for me to open really wide because of my anatomy and I have trauma surrounding my mouth so that was extremely uncomfortable and scary that she treated me like that. I wish the staff had more training before they could operate on peoples mouths, they are not gentle or compassionate they are rough and impatient. I got good/normal results but the way I was treated was not worth it at all and I wouldn't do it again because I didn't feel safe here.

Craig Young is great to work with. Excellent orthodontist and was great with our son and his braces. Craig cares about his patients and takes time to talk to them explain options and then does great work. He's an easy doctor to recommend. Everyone we have sent to him has had the same great experience.

Called to make an appointment for my niece to have a 2nd consult and my hell they never answer, Who ever picks up the phone has no customer service skills and to top it off they are hard to get in since they are only in the office 2 days out of the whole week! Don't waste your time here.
