All our dental professionals at UrgentDent maintain the highest level of accreditation and pursue ongoing continuing education to stay updated on the latest of dental trends. We have staff members who speak Spanish, English, Arabic, and Serbian to best suit a range of customers. We accept CareCredit, all PPO Insurance, and we are in network with Delta Dental Family And Indiana Medicaid. Our office has been in practice for over 15 years. The Munster office has been open since 2006 and offers extended hours. Referrals are welcome.
Our locally owned and operated team serves Northwest Indiana communities such as Lake County, Porter County, Munster, Merrillville, Highland, St John, Dyer, Schererville, Lowell, Hobart, Valparaiso, Portage, Hebron, and Crown Point. We are a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Northwest Indiana Dental Society.
Ajmal Wardak, D.D.S., -President Dr. Wardak received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2001. He is the founder of UrgentDent. He opened our Munster office in 2006 and our Merrillville office in 2013. He is our lead doctor at UrgentDent. He oversees all of our dentist and is a great mentor to them. He is a part of the Global Medical Foundation, and provides nonprofit dental services to those in need. He has been providing Donated Dental Services through the Indiana Dental Association since 2012. He has continued his education and received his Fellowship for Implantology at the International Oral Implantology Institute, in 2010. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association and past member of the Royal Dental College of Ontario. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Farid Wardak, CEO, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Wardak, is the co-found and CEO of UrgentDent. He has been with UrgentDent, since we opened our doors in 2006. He is a natural born entrepreneur. He has managed multiple businesses for over 30 years. He oversees the progress and growth of UrgentDent. He stays involved in the office on a daily basis and is proud of the growth of our family operation. His ultimate goal is to serve the dental care need in our community with the highest standard of care. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and five children.
Mrs. Djorovic has been with UrgentDent since 2010. She oversees all our offices. She works closely with staff, supervisors and doctors to improve our office for our clients and keeps us up to date on the latest education and technology. She is a native to Munster & has worked in the dental field for over 14 years. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs! They enjoy Disney vacations and the Florida sun as much as possible!
Dr. Brink received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1994. She went on to complete a general practice residency at the Medical College of Ohio in 1995. Her father and brother are also dentists. She has owned her own private practice since 1996. Dr. Brink enjoys treating children and those that are fearful of the dentist!

In 2017 I was an over the road truck driver and had a severely abcessed tooth. It was the early afternoon on a Friday and no one I called would take me until after the weekend. I was about to give up and cut my gum to try to release some of the infection when I saw a billboard on the side of the interstate and decided to give it a try. They said for me to come on in and even gave me explicit directions on how to get there so I wouldn't have to look it up. About an hour later I arrived at their location and they took me right in. Not only did he take the tooth that was abcessed but also the one right beside it as well. I didn't feel a thing. I actually asked if they had started when they were through. I have recommended this place to everyone I know even those that are not truck drivers. They were amazing and I never felt any pain even after the novicaine wore off.

I went and got a tooth pulled, the first time at the office next to hooters was a good experience and didn't feel anything at all, the second time I went to the office next to planet fitness, the doctor was very aggressive with my tooth. He told me if I felt any pain at all to raise my hand and I had my hand raised almost the whole time while he just kept saying "please chill out I'm not going to hurt you it's almost out" "it's not pain it's pressure" no the first time I went was pressure the second time I went was straight pain... I felt every bit of my tooth getting yanked out of my mouth. And then when I got home I went to pick up my prescription to find out they closed the office without even sending my prescription so now I'm going to be in pain all night because they didn't send or do what they were supposed to! Absolute horrible experience and I'll never go back.

I literally just called the egg if I can be seen just to make sure because I'm an hour away. I was told that "we are not an emergency dentist we are a regular dentistry , And we only take walk-ins depending on how the day is going" . I don't understand how someone can hold the title emergency dent tent or urgent dental if you don't handle emergencies. This is very upsetting and I'm very disappointed in. I really feel like they just didn't wanna be bothered it is now 11 going on 12 o'clock they don't close until six and you just denied somebody move an extreme associating pain because you feel that you're overbooked but you're supposed to be a urgent dental. They really need to change the name because there's nothing urgent or Emergency about them

All dentists were saying they were emergency dentist but couldn't see me right away. I called and they got me in the same day when I had a filling fall out. Super kind staff and very accommodating.

I went in because I chipped my tooth and want me to have a root canal done. So, they put me on antibiotics and I'm allergic to Penicillin and I told them and wrote it down on my form. They subscribed me amoxicillin knowing that I'm allergic.

The lady at the front desk was rude and they don't take walk ins. They don't care about people when they turn you away and you're in pain. So disappointed, will never go back, no matter how much pain I'm in. Also, when I called the day before, she never asked me if I wanted to make an appointment or that I really needed one. Would not recommend!

Came in with the worst tooth pain. They were very kind and pulled the tooth same day. I tried all morning to find a dental place to help me and they were the only one to say come in. I definitely recommend this place for emergency dental procedures.

Service and care was great at the time of my appointments. I had dental work done here in 2019 and 2020. Both times, I paid a good amount of money out of pocket for the services, in addition to what my insurance covered. I was told everything was paid for at the time of service, as required which this facility clearly states in their office. Fast forward TWO YEARS and they send me a bill for nearly $400, claiming they recently got a new billing system that says I have a balance. I don't know who dropped the ball, but to bill a patient two years after the original service is completely ridiculous. I called up to get an explanation and Anne Marie in the billing department was no help at all, basically told me it is what it is s and the money they made me pay at the time of appointment was "only an estimate". If you like surprise bills years down the road, this place is for you!

Should be called Not-so-UrgentDent or just Dent. Read the reviews, most of which were not good, but it's Saturday morning, our regular dentist is closed and nowhere else is open either. Filled out the online form, received a call saying they are not open today and Tuesday is the soonest we could be seen. I called myself, found out they are open but just aren't taking walk ins because they have too many scheduled appointments. Why advertise being a walk in urgent/emergency facility if you can't accommodate emergencies? Glad we didn't make the drive just to be turned away. Hope this review saves someone else from wasting their time with this falsely named facility!!

I sincerely wish there was an option for 0 stars. This location has THEE WORST customer service that I have ever experienced. The receptionist is rude as ever. I never got to see the dentist due to the receptionist refusing to look into our insurance more carefully. The contact that I did have with staff was AWFUL. NOBODY should visit this location. They lied about services that they render. Terrible.

Told me they do walk ins as long as you walking in before 5pm. Walked in at 4:30 pm with tooth ache and they denied service due to being short staffed??? Hello u are a Dental Urgent Care!!! Everyone is short staffed you don't turn down service to someone who is in pain!!!! Wouldn't recommend this place

My wife was there yesterday. HORRIBLE experience. The receptionists wouldn't look into our insurance. VERY rude staff lied and told my wife that the dentist on staff doesn't do wisdom teeth when they knew ahead of time that was the services she needed. AVOID at all costs going to this location.

Came to this location by accident but now will no longer go anywhere else. Dentist Nick and his assistant's our hands down the best. I talk to him laughed and joke didn't even feel like I was at the dentist, pulled my tooth same day and got to know about each other. His down to earth vibe made my day and left me just in love with that office client for life.

The worst service of life!!!!!!! Acted all nice in the office and gave care then didnt follow thru with what they said. No prescription every called in before the start of a holiday weekend. I would never go back and make sure you never start there. 100% liars

Receptionist refused to even look into my insurance claiming my "address was wrong" and that I was "ineligible" haven't had any issue regarding insurance at ANY other place. Been a resident for over a year. Insurance was not the problem her inability to provide adequate service WAS.

Gabby, (dental hygienist )is the absolute best ! She is extremely thorough and did an amazing job on my deep cleanings. She listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. She truly cares about her patients, thank you again ! U r the best!

This was my first visit to this amazing place. The Receptionist was incredibly KIND even though the lady who initially scheduled my appointment got my last name completely wrong. The dental assistant was waiting for me before I finished my paperwork even though I was 20 minutes early. And the dentist definitely knew what he was doing. He looked at the x-rays, my infected tooth, and prescribed antibiotics in less than 10 minutes. And best of all I only have to wait 1 week until he can pull my infected tooth. Thank you all so much for the hassle free trip. I have never ever had such a stress free trip to dentist!
