After several years of professional Dental University education, both Cosmetic Dentists, Dr. David Nguyen and Dr. Benjamin Golik, wanted to further their passion with a focus on Esthetic Dental Arts.Only a chosen few of ranking graduate dentists are selected to train in these highly selective post-graduate residencies.Both dentists met at the Level 1 Lutheran Medical Center Trauma Center Dental Clinic, which is now owned by New York University.
Throughout their Dental Residency, they honed their skills and techniques with the use of state-of-the-art equipment and tools. Both locations of URBN Dental are located in rapidly growing areas as well as areas that are focused on urban living. Keeping in mind their muse of New York, they selectedneighborhoods thatfocuson the fusion of arts, numerous city dwellings, and walkability.The Dentists wanted to fulfill their communities needs of having an easily accessible dentist one who is situated next to condos, apartments, and even located near their public transportation system, including bicycle paths and light-rail.
The URBN Dental Uptown office is stationed in-between the prominent shopping centers of River Oaks District, Highland Village, and the Houston Galleria. Dr. Kyunglim Chae is a graduate of New York Universitys BA/DDS 7-year joint program. During this time, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated as a Presidential Honors Scholar with Honors in Biology. Dr. Chae then studied at New York University College of Dentistry to pursue her dreams of becoming a dentist and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
Dr. Chae works towards creating a better healthcare environment in Houston, TX. She believes in explaining to her patients about their dental conditions and helping them practice oral hygiene. Dr. Chae is a Houston Dentist at URBN Dental, a practice that is equipped with some of the most high-end state of the art low radiation x-rays as well as the highest quality materials. Awesome staff!!! Came here for an emergency root canal and temp crown. The front desk was very transparent about their overall price with insurance before starting treatment. Dr. Park and Angela were AMAZING during the entire treatments. Super friendly, attentive and thorough. I found my new dentist!

First things first, the decor of the office is to die for.. literally! The Halloween decorations are the main reason I came in to begin with. The receptionists are extremely friendly and time efficient. My dental hygienist Jorge is amazing and super funny. I appreciate people who take pride in their work and helping people. Every step was seamless and well explained. This has definitely become my resident dental office!!

everyone was so nice and explained everything to me in terms i could understand. i usually have no idea what's going on at the dentist and just agree to whatever they tell me i need. they made sure to show me the cost of everything and i didn't feel pressured to do anything.

I called on a Monday morning with a dental emergency and they got me in same morning at 11:00!! And they scheduled the surgery for 3 days later! Very clean professional and hip office with nice surroundings. Very friendly staff. HIGHLY recommend.

Everyone was so nice up until the treatment coordinator came in to ruin everything. I needed a lot done so I knew the price would be up there but first of all they gave me the wrong quote to begin with that was twice the actual price, then once I said I wanted to try to get a quote from another dentist before getting anything done she said I couldn't keep jumping around to different dentists and started talking down to me explaining how insurance works like I was stupid. I'm an adult and I'm allowed to choose what businesses get my money so even if another dentist is more expensive at this point theres no way I'd spend my money here.

I was a patient of Dr Golik for many years, I had positive experiences with him. Unfortunately, I have seen the quality of this place deteriorating. I recently went for a cleaning (Sep 2022) and had a horrible experience. The dental assistant had long fake nails which caused a lot of discomfort and pain when she was trying to floss. I don't understand why they would allow staff in that function to have very long nails. It is unsanitary and makes me very concerned about the lack of standards. Sadly I will not return here.

Very new, nice, and clean dentist office. Easy to make an appointment, and the staff is extremely friendly. They have a convenient parking garage attached and they validate parking. Highly recommended!

I've had to come in several times over the last couple of months and staff are always extremely kind. It's such a pleasant experience and they don't hassle you like many other dental offices. Appointments are typically easy to book and The place is very clean too.

I just moved to Texas and called to make an appointment. I was asked on the phone if I needed X-rays and I said no, just a cleaning. They told me that was fine and it would be $119. When I arrive, I'm told they will not proceed with my cleaning unless I allow them to do x-rays. This was an additional $199. I was told the person who scheduled my appointment was mistaken and they could lose their license for not doing the x-rays even though I offered to give them the ones I had taken less than a year ago. After an hour and a half of x-rays and the hygienist explaining them, I'm told they are refusing to do my normal cleaning unless I agree to their $1200 deep cleaning. Eventually, the girl at the front desk has me sign a waiver declining "necessary treatment" and says they'll go ahead with my previously scheduled $119 cleaning -only for her to come back 10 minutes later saying after a discussion with her manager they are still refusing to do a cleaning because they don't offer "sub-par" service. They also told me I have 5 cavities and a tooth fracture and they want to cap one of my teeth. My previous dentist does nothing but tell me every 6 months what beautiful teeth I have and how well I take care of them. The front desk girl comes back again with a treatment plan that is almost $9000. So we went from $119 to $318 to $9000 in the matter 2 and a half hours and I still never received a cleaning. I tell them I'd really like to speak to my insurance before I agree to all these treatments and then she starts crossing all these things off the bill telling me what she will "help me out with" and "give me for free" if I just pay them cash today. It was such a scammy, upselling and disgusting experience I found a great new dentist (Travis Walding in Houston). He said I do in fact have very healthy teeth and by no means needed a deep cleaning. He said I was one of the easiest he's had in weeks AND I have one tiny cavity.. not 5. He also said a cap is not necessary, my tooth has a hairline fracture from a large filling I received when I was a child and he doesn't see it causing any problems in the future. He also accepted my previous x-rays. It just goes to show that google reviews aren't everything because that's the only reason I chose this dentistry in the first place. And guess what.. I IMMEDIATELY received a text when I left asking for a stellar google review.

Love, Love, Love! The customer service and empathy was five stars all around. I needed a deep cleaning and to correct two cavities I had. It was painless and Dr. Park and Madison were super sweet and explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable. Cristal assisted my whole process and she was a sweetheart and also made sure I had everything I needed.
