Dr. Mahvash Khajavi-Harvey, DMD graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1997. She currently serves as a part-time affiliate faculty at UW school of dentistry. She has been serving the Seattle area since. With close to 25 years experience, she strives on providing the highest quality of care possible to all of her patients. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and performing general dentistry from basic restorations to cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics and root canals. Dr. Harvey tries to stay in tune with the latest technique and technology available in todays dentistry. She is committed to quality and long-lasting care and values personal relationships she builds with her patients.
I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. In my first 16 years of life at home, I experienced the Islamic revolution of 1978 and 9 years of Iran/Iraq war which brought along countless days and nights of bombing and horrific nightmares. In addition, being a member of the Bahai faith took away any legal rights an individual may have. Therefore, at the age of 16 I left my homeland for a better life. I escaped my country to Pakistan and got an asylum with the United Nation and came to the United States as a refugee in 1989.
I completed my undergraduate studies in northern California and dental school in Portland, Oregon. After graduation, I moved to Seattle in 1997 and was fortunate to take a job at SeaMar community health centers, gaining a tremendous and priceless humbling experience where I served the undeserved and low income patients and immigrants and farmworkers for the next 4 years, in addition, to meeting my husband, David Harvey MD.
Dave and I have 3 wonderful children, Zachary 19 (the soccer and ultimate frisbee player attending Santa Clara university as a sophomore), Parisa 16 (the volleyball player, climate activist and social justice advocate) and Sheyda 9 years old ( the linguist with an old soul).
I feel very fortunate to have a group of amazing ladies as staff and providers. Not only they are all very kind, gentle and caring people, but also they are dedicated to the level of care that super exceeds the standard. Dr. An first came to Seattle to attend high school at The Northwest School. Afterwards he majored in Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He then moved to New York City for dental school at NYU and graduated in 2018. In his free time, Dr. An enjoys the arts, especially going to the MoMa and the Met. He loves to work with his hands and believes there is a link between dentistry and art. Dr. An cares for his patients and the people around him.
Dr. Neral was born and raised in Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies and graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Neral understands that the dental office can be a very intimidating place for many people and strives to achieve a comfortable and inviting environment for all her patients. She is a lifelong learner and enjoys taking continuing education courses and attending study groups to keep up with the always evolving field of dentistry so she can provide the utmost quality of care that her patients deserve.
Dr Izoh Ashour is a periodontist who strives to always provide patient -centered high quality care. As a European and US trained Periodontist & implantologist, he is able to provide for his patients the latest technologies and methods for minimally invasive treatment for gum recessions, and bone augmentation, also using laser and digital treatment planning for esthetic crown lengthening and implant placement. Described by his patients as enthusiastic, energetic, and detail oriented, he is known to provide a stress-free and fun environment in the office.
Dr. Ashour is excited to live in the PNW and is already exploring the gorgeous nature and amazing hikes around Seattle. He is married to Seema, a General Dentist who is from the Seattle area. He loves the outdoors and really enjoys skiing. As he gets adjusted, he is making it a goal to learn how to sail and kite surf.
Dr Ashour earned his first doctor of dental surgery degree in Cairo, Egypt, followed by a one year General Practice Residency program during which he built a passion for implant dentistry and periodontics. He then completed an implant specialty program at the German Oral Implantology Society. The program focused on implant procedures, guided bone regen eration, and implant prosthetics. Upon completing the program, Dr Ashour earned his implant specialty and the prestigious Fellowship to the ICOI - USA.
He continued his dental journey in Madrid, Spain where he completed a two -year advanced dental program at European University of Madrid and obtained his second doctor of dental surgery degree. During his time in Madrid, he was able to complete a research focused on implant prosthetic connections. The publication was accepted for presentation at the Spanish Su rgery Society Symposium.
After many years of practicing, Dr Ashour was accepted at the prestigious Periodontics and Implant Surgery program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr Ashour also received his Masters of Science during his time at the University of Maryland.
Nominated by the Periodontics Program at University of Maryland to the 2021 Mark. Setter Leadership in Periodontology and Implantology Award for his outstanding performance as a periodontics resident and for his work to promote the science of periodontology by mentoring dental students and organizing study clubs and continuing education courses for his peers.
Rosalie was born and raised in the North Seattle area. She has been a dental hygienist since 2012 and absolutely loves her job, especially working with patients. In her free time she enjoys travelling, yoga, and all the great PNW outdoors offer: hiking, biking, skiing, and recently wakeboarding.
Kim is a compassionate and professional dental hygienist who has dedicated her career to helping her patients get the best oral care since earning her degree from Oregon Institute of Technology. She has been a dental hygienist for the last 9 years. She believes in personalized attention and empowers her patients through education - providing them with the best tools to succeed at home. Her strong ethics and passion for oral healthcare gives her the ability to connect, form bonds, and make patients feel at ease. She was born in Sleepy Eye, MN and raised in San Jose, CA before moving to Seattle, WA. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, baking and spending time with friends and family.
