Dr. Dollinger graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina-Asheville with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He then attended the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry, graduating with a DDS degree with honors. Upon graduation Dr. Dollinger returned to the mountains of Western North Carolina to create a dental practice to reach out to those in the community he grew up.

Dr. Serene Nagia graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2012. Following her graduation, Dr. Serene served as an active duty dentist in the US Army. While at Ft. Stewart in Georgia, she enjoyed her mission of getting to know and treating our beloved service members. Although Dr. Serene has lived and practiced in many places along the east coast; she feels most at home in the mountains of Western North Carolina!

Dr. Serene is passionate about her patients and elevating the standard of care in dentistry. She strives to provide a positive dental experience for every patient while also taking the time to educate and explain along the way. She believes a smile is the prettiest thing you can wear!

Patient for over 18 years with Dr Dillinger and have only positive review. Patient , kind, always explains procedure and what needs to be done to have a great smile. I'm a super happy patient . Just not sure why it took me 18 yrs to leave a public review. But Google wasn't even around in that time probably so it don't matter lol

Be forewarned, if character means anything to you, don't use Upwards Dental. At least don't use Dr. Dollinger. He outright lied to me. He told me my partials were only temporary as my gums needed to heal. I paid $2,900 and now I'm told that they are permanent. Cheap ones, yes, but permanent. They want another $4,000 for the "higher quality" ones. I have no insurance and this has cost me $4,954 already and I still can't eat a sandwich with a piece of lettuce in it. I'm done with them. Need I add, he charged $1,768 for eight teeth to be pulled. No surgery! Novocain and extractions took less than thirty minutes. He originally stated that the $1,700 was just an estimate to cover the surgery if needed. The cost would be adjusted. It never was. On the upside, the Dental Assistants were the best. Very friendly and informative!

Dr. Serene is my new dentist! As someone with longstanding dental anxiety (50+ years no lie), I have landed on this empathetic and skilled dentist. She worked on my front teeth this morning (one cavity and a chip in my front tooth that's been there for years). Not only did she give me the best numbing injection I've ever had, but it's like that chip was never there. I don't usually post plugs, but I am so grateful today, I've made an exception. HIGHLY recommend.

Dr. Serene Nagia was very helpful and got my teeth the cleanest of any dentist I have ever seen , even previous ones at upwards dental. It's always been great service but I couldn't speak highly enough of Dr Nagia and crew.

I had a great visit with Dr. Serene. She is kind and gentle. Just what you are looking for in a dentist. She complements the other staff well because they always try to take such good care of you. Also checking out was a breeze! Sarah and Tabitha were very pleasant and knew a lot of useful information.

Spoke on the phone with Tabitha who had the most poor attitude towards a client (myself). She is in charge of her location but from her terrible phone manners it's clear she definitely needs another job! Loved this dentist but taking business elsewhere now.

A wonderful group of people ! Great at what they do ! They are kind , patient, professional and determined to find the best options for each person ! They put as much time or more into planning and preparing as they do the actual treatment! These are great people and this is a great business!

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience. Dr Dollenger was 2 hours late, terrible attitude, condescending, incompetent with Novocaine dosage (eye and cheek were swollen until midnight although it was injected an hour before procedure) *this was for a fragile chemo patient who deserved decent care and respect, which he neglected* Will never ever return

I was a new patient last week. It was a near perfect experience as far as dental visits go. I went in thinking I was going to have to have all my teeth pulled and get dentures. Dr. Dollinger really encouraged me, telling me all my teeth but 1 could be fixed. No dentures for me! I am so excited and already feel better about myself. I really like the ladies at the front desk too. They were so kind to me!

Love-Love-Love this office! Dr. Dollinger and Dr. McChristian are GREAT! I've had work done by both. Great Experience!! Front explained my insurance to me very well. I understood my estimated portion. They made me feel safe in the world of COVID. Just can't say enough good things!

Worst first phone call. I was called "a random person wanting to come in for a root canal". This was from the office manager. Apparently she doesn't want my business. I was looking for a second opinion and wow, I'm shocked at the responses. I recommend not going to this dentist office.
