Dr. Priscilla Chang has distinguished herself in the fields of dentistry and dental education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Dr. Chang is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois College Of Dentistry.
She teaches a variety of courses at the College of Dentistry including: dental anatomy, pre-clinical diagnosis and treatment planning, restorative dentistry, and occlusion for dental students. She has also previously taught pediatric dentistry as well as practice management. Dr. Changs excellence as a clinician, researcher and leader has been recognized by the dental profession. Dr. Chang has enjoyed private practice in addition to her academic teaching and scholarship.
Dr. Jeff Ruttencutter completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and graduated magna cum laude from Cornell College.
Dr. Ruttencutter has distinguished himself as both a clinician and academician. He has been elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and to the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society. He received a fellowship grant from the National Institute of Health to help support his dental training and PhD research. He has presented his wound healing research at national meetings in Washington DC, Bethesda, Memphis, and Chicago. Dr. Ruttencutter has enjoyed seeing patients and practicing clinical dentistry in the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Yvette 'Evy' Valenciawas raised in Berwyn, IL. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago andher Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She aims to create a comfortable environment for each patient while focusing on communication to ensure complete understanding of treatment. Her focus is on prevention and education. Dr. Valenciabelieves it is vital for her patients to understand their oral health needs and encourages any dental questions they may have.
Dr. Stephen Libbing was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, before attending Indiana University to receive his bachelor's degree in chemistry. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry where he now teaches as a Clinical Instructor. He aims to create a comfortable and transparent environment for his patients while providing comprehensive and preventive care.
He enjoys providing excellent care for his patients while also teaching the next generation of providers. Outside the office, he enjoys exploring Chicago, traveling, visiting friends and family and going to concerts and shows.

Dr. Jeff & his team have a unique gift of being kind and communicative while also being thorough and efficient. Dr. Jeff took the time to talk about my x-ray images and clearly explain some complex medical concepts. FANTASTIC. Dr. Chang and the staff are pleasant and very knowledgeable. They are experts in patients with anxiety from previous bad experiences. The office is clean and stylish with modern equipment. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Ruttencutter is amazing. I've had my share of negative (and painful) dental experiences all my life, which left me with a lot of apprehension and anxiety with dentistry. I was referred to Dr. Jeff over four years ago and I've always left his office feeling good and pain free. I've had many services with him and I cannot say enough great things about him and his colleagues. They walk you through everything and there's just a sense of ease as soon as you're with him. Again, I never thought I would have a positive experience at the dentist until I met Dr. Jeff!! A huge thank you to you and your team!!!

I can say without a doubt Uptown Dentistry is absolute my forever dentist. I went in for the first time because I was feeling pain near my wisdom teeth and Dr.Jeff and his front desk team were able to get me in immediately on the same day. I came in expecting to get a referral to an oral surgeon but Dr.Jeff was able to remove my wisdom tooth in about 2 minutes after I was completely numbed! The entire team made me feel very comfortable and was super informative on how the healing process would go. The healing process went smoothly and Dr.Jeff himself called to make sure everything went well. I can't thank him and his team enough! I will be recommending Uptown Dentistry to all of my friends and family!

My family has been seen at Uptown for years- the staff is always kind, professional, puts everyone at ease and provides excellent care. For my children who don't love the dentist, Dr.Jeff is patient and has them laughing by the time we leave. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Sharing my email to the practice entitled "Random email of appreciation" ****************************************** Hi! I'm a previous patient of the clinic, but we moved out to San Diego a couple years ago. I had a crown placed today and although my current dentist is fine and I have no complaints about him, the whole time I was there, I was thinking how all of my experiences at Uptown were exceedingly exceptional. Even though I needed some unpleasant dental work, I never had a horrible experience. Just wanted to pass along that, even after a couple of years, your service is appreciated and not forgotten. I highly recommend Uptown Dentistry! I can't say enough good things, but I can say my daughter used to go to a pediatric dentist and screamed and cried at her appts even when they were just cleanings. Dr. Jeff at Uptown has now pulled 12 teeth of hers and she still likes going there. In my book, that says it all! He has a very calming and relaxed nature about him that puts you at ease and always tells you what's going to happen ahead of time. They are always super punctual and front desk very friendly too. My husband sees Dr. Marta and really likes her too and he's very very particular about his dentists. Thank you Uptown for your great care!

Uptown dentistry is absolutely the best. The staff is friendly and are a pleasant to work with. Patient and staff safety is a priority since they have welcomed us back from the pandemic. My 5 year old had his first cavity and Dr Jeff made him feel safe and calm and he did not shed one tear!

Dr. Ruttencutter and his team offer a professional experience in a clean and upbeat environment. Scheduling an appointment is extremely easy. I was able to get in prior to my scheduled appointment as the office manger continued to follow up with me every time there was a recent opening and continued to work with my everchanging schedule. I would definitely recommend!

Can not say enough great things about Uptown Dentistry! Dr. Jeff is the best dentist I've ever been to. He has a great attention to detail, is communicative about the process so you know what to expect, is patient and concerned about your comfort level during procedures and clearly takes pride in his work. The office is state of the art with cool new technology to make the process easier, and is clean and comfortable without being cold and sterile. The staff are always friendly, efficient and have been a pleasure to work with. They are also awesome about building a realistic schedule to not leave you waiting but also never make you feel rushed. If you are looking for a high quality, relaxed, friendly, comfortable dental practice, Uptown Dentistry will not disappoint!

Uptown Dentistry is a terrific practice. The office itself has high-end equipment and amenities while also being located in upscale downtown Park Ridge. They have personal TVs in every chair as well as X-Ray machines in every room (I've never had to move rooms when I was due for x-rays). Their safety protocol is also excellent. They have limited appointments that encourages social distancing and the place is spotless. They also do temperature checks, require masks (until you're in your your chair), and require every patient to wash their hands before sitting. Parking is very convenient, there's always parking just outside in the half circle lot or you can park underground if you're particular about your car. The garage below will easily accommodate an SUVs height and there are very clean stairways that lead right outside the office. There are multiple dentists at this office and I see Dr. Jeff Ruttencutter and I can confidently say he's been the best dentist I've ever had. He's very detailed and thorough in his work and he's also very thoughtful in his interactions with his patients. I would highly recommend him. I can also add that Uptown Dentistry is great for families. My wife and toddler see Dr. Marta Demski and she is terrific. She is so patient with my son and always has such a warm attitude with the both of them. Furthermore, the staff here is wonderful. They are always so accommodating if you're preferential during treatment (tv channels, toothpaste flavors, rescheduling appointments) and the entire practice as a whole makes going to the dentist so much better.

This place is fantastic. Dr. Jeff Ruttencutter takes the time to explain everything he is doing. He is not only concerned with the "business" end of dentistry, but rather will recommended what he feels is best for the patient. Example: I had a crown with a post that fell out. I came into see Dr. Jeff and he was able to reattach the crown without having to make a new one. I have been to many other higher priced dental practices, whos first response is to always replace. That is not always the best course of action. I appreciated the fact that Dr. Jeff explained the situation and I felt comfortable with his recommendation. Only at that time did he proceed...it felt like a real Doctor / Patient partnership.

Uptown Dentistry is the best dental office by far! I personally love going to the dentist, but after my old dentist retired it was hard for me to find one that met my standards. I am so glad to have come to Uptown Dentistry where they far exceed my expectations. So clean, so thorough, so kind..... I will never be able to say enough great things about them! I've had experience with Dr. Jeff and Dr. Marta and they're both fantastic along with the rest of the staff. You have to make this your forever dental office... that's all I'm saying.

I highly recommend Dr. Ruttencutter at Uptown Dentistry in Park Ridge. He helped me get my smile back! After having a tooth pulled several years ago, I would always shy away from smiling or laughing. He did such a wonderful job with my dental implant recently that even I can't tell which of my tooth is the implant. The best part is I can once again talk, smile and laugh confidently without any hesitation. So grateful for Uptown Dentistry and Dr. Ruttencutter's expertise!
