With a new Dentist at this office, it has gone from a lovely place to get a cleaning and dental work to a disaster. I've been receiving cleanings here for about a year, and when I went in to get my last cleaning, all was the same, except one huge change, that no one decided to mention before providing services to me. The dentist has changed ownership and after a cleaning and a filling the next day I was hit with an out-of-network bill. They neglected to mention that there was a new dentist/ownership and I may be out of network, or to at least check on my part. They lied about my portion of the estimated bill for the filling, saying it was for the filling, but actually it was my portion for the cleaning, now being out-of-network. Terrible management and front office staff!!! DO NOT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF HERE! Update to response: Thank you for the response! Yes, you are correct you all did assist in helping some with the financial burden this caused to me, but still had money out of pocket that shouldn't have been, if you all would have mentioned before rendering services to me that you guys changed ownership and my insurance was not accepted at that time. The time for writing a review is only to assist others in making a decision on your practice over another, my time is valuable to me and I hope it can save others the trouble you caused.

Updated review with a new dentist/owner!! I am very impressed with Dr. Nicole Hall and her staff. Excellent dental care! Dr. Hall took time to listen to me, explained things and took time for a followup phone call after my procedure (much appreciated). Also enjoyed my interactions with her dental assistant as well with Chris (excellent dental hygienist!). As much as going to the dentist is not at the top of my list of "fun" things to do, Dr. Hall and staff do care and put you at ease. No question is considered "stupid"!!!! I will be back when the need arises. Also, office is tidy and well organized.

The business was sold without any notification to existing patients. I showed up for my appointment and also learned my previously-accepted insurance was now out of network. I was told I would owe 10% of the visit out of pocket, while with the previous owner my insurance covered 100%. Why would I consider paying that? I had to politely ask the receptionist multiple times to even learn of this. I said that was not acceptable since previously my insurance was in network, before the company was sold, which I wasn't made aware of. I said I wanted to cancel my appointment. The receptionist replied I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. Stunning. I calmly explained that wasn't acceptable either, since I wasn't made aware of the new owner, nor their issues with my insurance, ahead of my appointment. She benevolently said she would waive the fee. It was as if I was responsible for the problem! Both issues I ran into here are simply unacceptable. I wasted an entire morning. I'm finding a new dentist. Current patients beware.

I would like to share my experience of when I went to Uptown Dental & Orthodontics. I was able to relax and fill so comfortable. The staff was very kind and caring and my mouth did and still does fill very clean and comfortable. I would recommend anyone to go to Uptown Dental & Orthodontics for their dental care.

Dr. Hall is the best dentist I've ever had! I'm very scared of dentists and she was able to keep me calm. I didn't even feel the injection!

My first visit as I look for a dentist in a new area (recently relocated to Phoenix). Staff and doctors were all extremely friendly and took the time to explain things to me, providing multiple treatment options. The financing plans for those without insurance are affordable and beneficial. I look forward to going back!

I always have great dental visits at Uptown Dental. Every one is very helpful, personable and professional. Chris, the dental hygienist does a great job. He is very efficient and gentle. I met a new dentist today, Dr Nicole Hall, and I liked her very much. I have always seen Dr Lazore, who I also really like, but she was out of the office for military reserve duty. Thank you Paula and the entire staff.

I'm not a fan of the dentist but today's experience was great. I was quite nervous when I arrived, with reassurance I left very satisfied. The staff is very friendly, they check in with you to make sure you are doing ok and the dr explains the procedure before hand. I made another appointment before leaving.

I mulled over this for a day. Because it was important to report my experience. It has been ten plus years since a cleaning for me, and Sarah; the dental hygienist had extremely good bed side manor. She was honest, informative, and toughly delicate. So many doctors are calloused because they're abundance of Ill prognosis. Sarah is able to redeem the beautiful balance between need and want, the intimate ballet to deal with people and their needs, and she graces each person with a care that only a mother can bring.

I had my first visit to uptown dental and orthodontics on June 14, 2022. My whole experience from the time I walked in the door to the time I left was absolutely amazing! I was in for an annual cleaning and check up, and during this time the staff was extremely kind hearted and knew what they were doing, very upfront and gave options. The office itself is very nice and clean, along with easy access and shaded parking. I would highly recommend anyone in the central Phoenix/downtown area to visit this dental office!

Chris Bustamante is a fantastic hygienist! He takes special attention to his craft and does it with executed precision. He is also incredibly genuine and very easy to talk to. Not to mention he always plays the best hits from bygone eras that invoke a sense of calm and nostalgia while he gets down to business. I highly recommend Mr. Bustamante to anyone who is in need of dental care and ensure the care he renders is more than satisfactory.
