Dr. Koehnen began Uptown Dental's tradition of comfort and care in 1999. She attended the University of Minnesota, Morris for undergraduate studies. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota in 1995. Dr. Koehnen has a commitment to continuing education and has completed courses in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and implant restoration.
Dr. Koehnen was raised in Shakopee and now resides in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis. She enjoys volunteering locally and abroad. She travels to Honduras with the International Health Service of Minnesota every February and works in remote villages providing dental care to those who have no access to dentistry. She also volunteered locally at the Uptown Community Clinic since her graduation until its closure in 2014.
Dr. Koehnen loves the artwork in dentistry, even in a simple filling. She is passionate about dentistry and thinks the way to alleviate the common fear of dentists is explaining every step and showing patients everything she does and why she is doing them. Knowing what is going on in your mouth helps alleviate the anxiety many people have about going to the dentist. She knows no one loves getting their teeth worked on, but she'll try to make it fun, if that's possible!
In 2013, Dr. Rohlfsen was motivated by a dental mission to Vietnam to start Serving Smiles, a non-profit group designed to organize and fund dental missions. She has been involved with multiple missions to serve the people of Jamaica.
Dr. Mirodone is a native of Romania and a graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She loves being a dentist and is committed to make her patients feel better about themselves by creating beautiful smiles and improving their oral health. Dr. Mirodone is a firm believer in continuing education and providing her patients with the best care and compassion. She also volunteers for 'Give Kids a Smile'.

I love uptown dental and have been going to the same dental hygienist and dentist for almost 8 years now. Their service is always great and even though I've since moved away from Minneapolis and no longer live close, I have decided to continue going here because of their wonderful care.

Dr Koehnen is great! Very knowledgeable and thorough, and explains everything in detail I can understand. She's also a lot of fun, and makes visits the same. Highly recommend her!

I broke a crown on a Sunday and Uptown Dental had me in on Monday for a temporary crown. Superior customer service. It cannot get any better. Thank you Uptown Dental! You people rock!

I've been here several times over the past few years and everyone is very helpful and friendly. The dentist's are knowledgeable and provide explanations of the processes and reasons for their work. The desk staff is always kind and informative. Really great place overall! Thank you

People and service are very good, but scheduling is horrible. It took then 15 months to schedule a cleaning, and another three months for a checkup.

I really like this place, everyone is really friendly, I used to hate to go to the dentist because it hurt, but when I came here Dr. Hung Vu did a fabulous job on cleaning my teeth.

I have been a patient at the clinic for many years. There service has been outstanding from the front desk to the hygienist to the dentists. I would not go to any other dental clinic.

Uptown Dental has some of the most user-friendly dental care I have ever experienced. The work I've had done over the years is very high quality and the customer service both with the dental team and the front desk has always been excellent. And they do take dental insurance. Highly recommended for anyone seeking dental care in Uptown Minneapolis! If you live outside of Uptown, I would recommend taking transit rather than paying for parking; there are several bus lines that will get you to Hennepin and Lake, and Uptown Dental is maybe a block's walk east of Hennepin on Lake.
