Dr. Thomas is the best dentist ever. He is kind, professional, and just incredibly good at what he does. I don't think I've ever recommended a dentist this much, but he is great. I've been to him for a cleaning, wisdom teeth extraction, fillings, and he also corrected a filling I had from a previous dentist. He is so gentle and explains what he's doing every step of the way which puts you at ease and makes going to the dentist a breeze. He is also very fast and makes sure you feel comfortable the entire time. Would highly, highly recommend if you can get in!

Dr. Thomas & his staff are wonderful. They are gentle and upfront about what work needs to be done, and very proactive in scheduling your next appointment so that you aren't tempted to put it off. Really glad I found this office.

I've been seeing Dr. Thomas for several years. Genuinely nice person and a great dentist! Not trying to over treat. A friend I referred was saved from a root canal as Dr. Thomas provided a less invasive approach first.

I've finally found a dentist I love. I've done everything from routine checks to big things there and I trust them entirely: friendly, upfront, and they don't try to scare you or sell you things you don't need.

Love it here! My first dentist in the US and I'm glad I found Dr. Thomas! Very transparent and collaborative in discussing treatment options, and makes sure that you are aware of everything before starting procedures!

Great experience! I was seen immediately with no wait, the office was clean & COVID protocols were in place. The Dentist was attentive, thorough, communicative and gentle. He gave advice for preventive care, showed me what needs to be addressed now and what we need to keep an eye on. I received a treatment plan with transparent fees and a clear explanation of services. This experience was refreshing after my last visit to another Dentist who gave me an estimate for 12K of "necessary" work (none of which was identified at this visit). If you're looking for great, gentle honest and efficient dental care, this is the place to visit.

Best dentist I've ever had, I have convinced my wife to change her dentist to Dr. Thomas and she loves the practice. Once my kids are old enough, they will be coming here too

Dr. Chan sold his practice a bit over a year ago and Christopher Thomas, DDS now owns Uptown Dental. I am so glad I stayed with this new dentist as his professionalism, attention to detail, explanation of any questions I may have are great! He kept the previous staff, whom I've grown to love like family. I highly recommend you to Dr. Thomas, DDS. By the way, he's totally provided an altra-safe environment so that you can be certain that you will not be exposed to the dreaded COVID-19 disease.

I was referred to Dr.Thomas for a second opinion by a friend and let's just say for so many great reasons he is now my Dentist. Full of grace, soft spoken, bed side manner is unlike any other, explains as you go through the appointment and points out things on radiographs/photos. Very comfortable office atmosphere. Sad that I will only have him temporarily but if I ever return to e area he'll definitely have my business. I wish i had met him sooner.

Dr. Thomas is very friendly, efficient and informative. After a 3-year hiatus from seeing any dentist, I was a bit nervous, but this is the best dentist experience I've ever had!

Can't say enough good things about Dr Thomas and his staff. Always a warm welcome and transparent about care plans, costs etc. Dr Thomas is kind and super efficient. Apprecaite that when he takes your yearly x-rays he walks you through everything going on and lists the priories for your care over the next year. Genuinely great dentist. My fiancee goes to him as well and it's the first dentist she's gone to in years that she loves.

Very good 1st impression. Got referred by my sister. I will definitely keep going there. The price for a crown was much better than other dentist I went to which tried to charge me over twice the price for a crown

Great first time experience at Advanced Dental Concepts, formally Uptown Dental, with Dr. Ma and her staff. The office is spacious, clean, and updated. The staff are taking appropriate COVID-19 precautions. From setting up our appointments to providing care, everyone was top notch, quick, efficient, attentive and friendly. Thank you for everything! Two years ago, my husband and I both had great first visits to Uptown Dental. Cathy greeted us cheerfully and helped ensure our X-rays arrived from our Virginia dentist. We liked Dr. Thomas grew up in Alemeda and went to UCSF, but returned to Oakland to open his practice. He used new techniques for cleaning (needs no spittoon!) and showed me his individual pictures of each of my teeth and evaluated the likely durability of every old filling, crown, implant, bridge, and veneer. Everything should last until my next checkup in six months, he pronounced. My dental insurance should cover all charges for today's exam but $33. He was nice and thanked me whenever I did what he asked me to do. And he laughed at my jokes! Really nice, progressive practice and pleasant experience! We've each returned for 3 6-month checkups and each had crowns done or fixed. All has been a great experience with the friendly and very professional staff.

I have only had good experiences here. Very covid safe. Very friendly and upfront staff. Came in for cleaning after a long time since my last dentist visit and I feel like I'm on a good path now.

I've been going to Uptown Dental for over a year and a half, and it is consistently the best experience I've ever had with a dental office. Dr. Thomas is incredibly skilled, thorough, and a great communicator as are all of the staff. Best dentist I've ever had.
