Dr. Vu is a general dentist whose focuses is on providing quality family and cosmetic dental care to children and adults. He obtained his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He also graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.Dr. Hung Vus advanced training includes: Implantology, Implant Seminars, Conscious Sedation, and, Conscious Sedation Consulting.
Immediately upon entering our Uptown Dental Office you will notice how inviting and friendly our staff is. Our hand-picked staff looks forward to helping each patient achieve and keep the best smile and dental health possible. We strive to provide each individual patient a comfortable, relaxing, and positive experience. We build trust with our patients as they feel personally pampered and cared for.
Nguyen Pham has been a hygienist for more than three years. She graduated in 2010 with a bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Minnesota. Nguyen enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and taking care of their oral health. When shes not in the office Nguyen enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her favorite outdoor activity is fishing.
Her favorite procedure to perform is in-office teeth whitening to include take home custom trays, making mouth guards and orthodontic retainers. Her favorite procedures to assist with are Fast Braces, Clear Correct, root canals, oral surgery, and implants.
Anissa has been at Uptown Dental since 2008. She graduated from RCTC in 2001 as Registered Dental Assistant. Her favorite procedures are crown, dental implants, and helping patients achieve the smile they want. She stays busy at home with her husband, two sons, and energetic dog.
Missy has been working in the dental field for 15 years. She graduated from Rochester Community and Techincal College where she completed the Dental Assistant Program.She enjoys educating and helping patients with dental care. She is married and has one daughter. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and outdoor activities such as flower gardening.
Amy, formerly a phlebotomist is new to dentistry but has always had an interest in the field. She ishoping to further her education in dental assisting. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, reading, and gardening.
The dental field has been my passion for many years and Im so thankful to be a part of Uptown Dental. Each day working, I enjoy helping our patients; they truly brighten my day. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to attend my sons activities, doing yard work, and playing with my dogs.
Angela is a graduate of 2004 class from Albert Lea Senior High. She took college courses at Riverland Community College to pursue a career in the medical field but ended up working in the dental field. Angela is the newest member of Uptown Dental and she loves to learn new things everyday. She enjoys spending time with family, going to sporting events, and being outside. She looks forward to seeing and working with you

1/10 Recommended . I Took My Child Here To Have A Sliver Cap Placed And The Dentist Was Very Rude And Rough With My 4 Year Old And Told Me To Back Off He Knows What His Doing . I Told Them I Would No Longer Want To Work With Him And Booked A New Appointment Just For Them To Give Him To Me Again And I Have To Reschedule My Childs Appointment For A Whole Month Later . Ok The Report They Gave To Me It Said I Was Being Aggressive And Not Participating Which Is Crazy . If You Get Dental Threw The State I Wouldn't Suggest Going Here Especially For Children.

Racist organization. I saw 3 roaches run across the wall into a small hole behind the chairs in the waiting room. The heauxs behind the desk with the stringy blonde hair extensions dug in her nose with her nasty finger and didn't wash her hands before handling our paperwork.

If you're considering going to this dentist think twice the last time I was in was in 2019 for tooth pain when I seen the dentist his first thing to diagnose tooth was to hit it very hard with a metal instrument until I was in severe pain he said this was part of the diagnosis and that I was OK ! I was in again today in 2022 same issue I mentioned in the notes that I did not want my tooth hit on with a metal instrument again because it caused severe pain he insisted that he do it again as soon as he walked in to meet with me or he could not diagnose the problem that he already did in 2019 ? The Practices this place is using Is very questionable and concerning as you would think that the dentist would not want to cause pain for the patient . He then sent me a letter saying that he could do the procedure by calling him personally ? Use this dentist at your own risk!!

All of the staff here are very friendly and Dr. Hung Vu is a fantastic dentist. I needed a root canal and tooth extraction on two back molars and I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. He took great care in making sure it was done properly and I was comfortable.

So thankful for Dr Vu and staff! I had a very prominent tooth towards the front, break on a Sunday, with engagement pictures 1 week away! He fit me into his crazy busy schedule, in 1 week and fixed me up, no pain! Him and his staff are so friendly and professional. Will be rebooking all of my further dental appointments at Uptown!

All of the staff here are very friendly and Dr. Hung Vu is a fantastic dentist. I needed a root canal and tooth extraction on two back molars and I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. He took great care in making sure it was done properly and I was comfortable.

I am absolutely so greatful for DR VU, he is the best dentist i have ever had the experience of meeting, me and my family have been going there for 7 plus years now, i feel like he is so compassionate about his work and the ppl he works on. My most recent experience here was having an appointment to have a tooth pulled but was in so much pain from an infection in another tooth and in so much pain with another tooth he was quick to help me, numbed the pain until he cld get to me and then when he came in to treat me he made sure i was comfortable and not in pain, because the tooth was so infected the sensitivity and pain was so bad, i felt like he was worried about me and making sure i was ok. Going to the dentist has always been one of my biggest fears especially when having to have major work done but i feel like he makes it less stressful and less anxiety because hes so kind, courteous and caring. The assistants and secretaries that work here are always so friendly and caring also. Always smiling and happy, very family oriented business, accommodating, fast and clean. This is seriously i think? the best dental business i cld ask for. Ty guys for ALWAYS caring n doing great work.

Great Dentist but their policies are something else. If you have dental insurance kinda turns into a hassle. Pay for your dental work up front. Then if you have a credit, you need to ask for a refund. That can take 4-8+ weeks to get a refund. They have had the payment from the insurance Co. now for 4 weeks and still no courtesy benefit check...

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Vu made my wisdom tooth extraction very pleasant and keep my inner anxiety at peace. I don't have insurance so it was nice that they offer free exam and xray coupon on their website. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Dr. Vue is an amazing dentist. He is very gentle, patient, and does great work. His staff are just as pleasant and do good work too. He takes ALL kinds of insurance and his prices are affordable. He helps as many people as he can, and his office runs very efficiently. I had smart braces with Dr. Vue; I was very skeptical, but the results came out great. I was nervous because he is a quiet guy and doesn't share most the details of the plan, but I would definitely do it all over again. My last dentist in Blooming Prairie was very rough and I had such a bad experience I didn't go back to a dentist for years. Luckily, I have found this place and I'm not afraid to go to the dentist anymore. Thank you Uptown Dental.

I was just there today, and they hired a new gal named Michelle, a new dentist from Minneapolis area. She was by far the nicest, most attentive, helpful person I have ever met. I'm someone who has very high anxiety with dental procedures, due to previous experiences with other Dental offices. But Dr. Vue and his staff were so gentle and reassuring with me, and did everything they could to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. And communicated to me the entire time about what they were doing and where they were at during my procedure. They were so kind toward my fear, and it made the entire experience so much easier for me. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I saw a coupon on their website & decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did because I had a great experience there. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. I honestly felt like they truly care about you and your needs. Dr. Vu explained, in details, the options as well as the risks and benefits for each option. Nothing was pushed on me. Also, their prices were very reasonable. If you have doubt, I recommend using one of their coupons for a FREE exam and x-ray on their website.
