Dr. Mark McInnis is a native of South Carolina and has practiced orthodontics in the tri-county area for more than a decade. Born and raised in Darlington, he received his BS from Francis Marion College in 1989. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Dental Medicine Degree (DMD) in 1996, and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1998. Dr. McInnis is currently serving on the SC Association ofOrthodontics Board and the Advisory Board for ULAB.
Dr. McInnis lives on the lake with his wife, Kristen, and their daughters, Carter and Jensen. When hes not in the office, you may find him on the lake, 4-wheeling or camping with his family. Dr. McInnis passion for photography is second only to his passion for creating beautiful smiles!

Fun and friendly family oriented atmosphere. Dr. McInnis took the time to make sure that we where comfortable and that we understood what was being done and what was to come. Awesome awesome people.

They truly care about what you want out of the experience. He went over the options of treatment and instead of telling me this is what we are gonna do he let me chose. Staff is always super friendly and welcoming right when you walk in!

Overall a good experience, some of the assistants aren't as gentle/understanding or aware when doing their work (i.e letting your mouth fill with water and not suctioning it, or nicking your gums often with the tools). i also find it frustrating that I was told that I couldn't request to have my braces removed, even though they're paid off.

Great team and teamwork to keep things moving. Very efficient, friendly and professional. Everything explained in terms easy to understand. Also great explanation video of common ortho problems, implications and how they are corrected. Everyone even looks like a team. Facility is modern looking and pleasant to visit...air conditioning really works good!

I was told my daughters braces were ready to come off and scheduled the appointment only to be told when we arrived that I must have misunderstood. My daughter and I clearly heard the news that the braces were coming off. It was apparent that the office was overcome with other appointments that day based on the backup in the waiting room and the Dr decided to put it off. This is the second time this has happened with our kids. We have had a number of other appointments that did not happen as scheduled. Too bad there is only one option in town for orthodontics.

Always see me promptly. Everyone in the office is friendly, courteous and professional. They do mapping instead of molds for retainers which is MUCH less annoying. Dr. McGinnis is extremely knowledgeable and gets great results.

Staff was great...looking forward to having overbite corrected & teeth straighten. I got my 1st Invisalignwe upper & lower yesterday Sept 1, 2021. I was going with Smile Direct until I met for my free consultation. Dr McInnis went over my options back in June. Invisalign is more expensive than Smile Direct but well worth they cost. JJ
