Background: Dr. Brown was born and raised in Akron, OJ. Growing up and only child, she found her passion for dentistry very early in life- at the age of six. She spent more time at the pediatric dentist than most kids, and she loved the time she spent there and grew to love the office.

She graduated from St. Vincent St. Mary High School in 2005. From there she studied biological sciences and chemistry at the University of Toledo. While in Toledo, she met Dr. Barricklow who invited her to his office to shadow. She knew after putting in many hours of observation at his office that she was indeed making the right decision to pursue dentistry. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology she took a year off before entering dental school at The Ohio State University. Thereafter, she completed a residency at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Dr. Brown has worked with a wide variety of patients in her career. She has spent time in nursing homes providing care to the residents throughout the state of Ohio. She briefly worked at a pediatric dental office in central Ohio, served as a managing dentist at a dental service organization, and worked weekends at a private office in New Albany. In addition to Uproot, Dr. Brown continues to provide services to the homeless at Friends of the Homeless in downtown Columbus.

Dr. Browns treatment philosophy is to dissipate peoples perception of what going to the dentist should be like. By being personable and caring, she wants to provide conservative treatment that meets the patients needs in a warm and down to earth environment. She is dedicated to life-long learning and vows no less than 100 hours of continuing dental education yearly for the benefit of her patients.

Dr. Brown loves central Ohio and is happy to call it home. When shes not working she collects Coca-Coca memorabilia and is an active member of The Coca- cola Collectors Club. She also has an immense love for mixed martial arts and is a huge UFC fan, meeting fighters and going to events as often as possible. Her other lifelong loves include photography, writing, exercising, traveling, playing the drums, and spending time with loved ones. Ohand she loves horror movies.

I value close relationships because they make life meaningful, being kind and giving to be a good steward, and learning and implementing new things to become a better doctor. Accordingly, I am making Uproot Dental a place where people love to work, patients love to visit, and a place known in the community for its altruism.

My first experience with uproot was great I took my mom there and they treated her nice and took a good care of her. The problem came on our second visit. I had to take time off from work to drive my mom to her appointment and the office was closed. They had a note on the door saying there was a power outage and that they will call us back to reschedule. I was okay with that since that's out of their control but they never called back!! Called them a week later no body picked left a voicemail nobody reached out. Called third time and a person picked up she said she was from the corporate office but doesn't work directly at this office so I explained to her what happened and she tells me the office was out of business and not take appointment anymore!!! This was 7 months ago but looks like the office is open and working smh!!!

So I started going to this dentist instead of continuing to get my dental work done at OSU bc they were so so far out with scheduling, I wish I would have just went ahead and went back to OSU . So long story short I was supposed to be getting a root canal. She gets to the point of putting the cap on the root canal and for some reason my medicaid would never approve the cap material she was billing for. Everything she tried for some reason my medicaid would not cover. Instead of saying "Hey we need to figure out some other options to get your tooth fixed" for 9 months she has not contacted me. She has not worked with me to try to get the remainder of my dental work done. Now the temporary crown that she put on my tooth has broke off and has to be re-done. I've been leaving messages with the answering service since November no one has called me back not once. I was really hoping because this was an African American establishment that it would have been ran a whole lot more professionally than this. To leave a persons tooth unfinished for almost a year is unacceptable and I'm going to go ahead and leave the review because at this point even if they can figure out what's going on with the insurance I wouldn't go back to her to have the procedure done again. Also, I will be contacting the appropriate boards and medicaid because she was paid and did not complete my procedure.

Dr.Brown saved my day! To begin, I was refer by another dentist to have emergency dental work done. I have never heard or seen the office. I had gone through so much pain and couldn't take it anymore. I gave her office a called while in boohoo tears to see if I can be seen immediately. And sure enough her staff asked if I could come in within the next 10-20 minutes, I lived in the area so I immediately rush over. And again Dr.Brown saves the day! No lie I was in and out less than 45 minutes. And the office was clean, professional staff, and made me feel like I've been there before. Definitely will be returning as she has set me up for a follow up & the pain has gone away. Thank you Dr.Brown

Uproot Dental, words cannot express the gratitude on finding an office which is professional! Greeted with a smile, the Dental hygienist excellent and most of all the fantastic Dr. T. Brown ! Dr. Brown, treatment me has if I was a patient of hers for years and this was my first visit, ( unbeliveable). Dr. Brown took her time explaining the procedure, and the best thing I was not in PAIN! YES, THAT RIGHT NO PAIN! I have a dentist anxiety, to be honesty I hate going to the dentist. However, Dr. Brown has changed my outlook about dentist, and I will continue to go to Dr. Brown for my dental needs. If you have Dental anxiety , do not wait until the last mintue as I did, go see Dr. Brown , she is professional, kind, and gentle!

I've been waiting nearly a year for a partial. I suggest you find another dentist. 1800.00 paid out for the partial. It's supposed to be a 30 day process.. started in July 2021 and now it's March 2022. I never seen anything like this. It's completely unprofessional.

I give one star because of cleaning otherwise I never recommend for anyone specifically for tooth extraction the Dr left half tooth in me and she told me she removed totally then she send me home with out any antibiotics then I was suffering for 15 days when ever I go there they were closed then on my last day visite she wrote the referral as the root left inside with out checking me that means from the beginning she knew what she did and she never told me the truth and she made me out of my work and suffering with the pain. Finally I was done with other Dr in Ohio state University.

Loved the dentist and the staff but they were never there it seems like. Every time me and my husband had a appointment they were closed and the door locked and never gave us a call saying they were stepping out or had to close early but after the 3rd and 4th time it happened sorry going to a more professional place.

I have not been to the dentist in over 10 years as I have had some bad experiences , I came here and I felt like family. Dr. Brown took her time explained everything to me for my first visit. I had to come back for a 2nd visit and we could not save my tooth but I was in no pain and she once again took her time and explained everything and what my options will be to replace the missing tooth . She is a little short staffed but this is not her fault , now a days no-one wants to work and this is a shame because she is a wonderful person. I am taking 3 of our kids there this month and my husband. I have even recommended her to my friends . No issues with making the appointments no long hold time and no long wait time in the office. It is very clean and very calming in there. To each their own with their opinions but if you had something happen and you did not reach out to her before providing a feed back that is wrong. Give them the chance to fix your issue if is truly their fault. Now if it just yours and you are being a "Karen" this is her business and you are complaining about something out of their control . I am happy to go back and look forward to this visit for an implant if I do not need a 2nd job to cover the cost (LOL ) but my kids are next in line .

I just had another cleaning at Uproot and I can't say enough nice things about my experience. Gentle cleaning from Dr. Brown and a great new office associate. I have been a patient at uproot for over a year and have had nothing but great experiences. I see reviews stating it is hard to get someone by phone but it's a small office that is busy and they may be with a patient so you might need to call again. Personally I don't think it's a big deal to call back if my call isn't picked up because they are busy or closed. I appreciate the attention and time I get when I am in the dental chair. I highly recommend Uproot. My whole family sees Dr. Brown and have experienced gentle cleanings and care.

My first experience at Uproot Dental office was exceptional. The atmosphere was very clean, family friendly, the receptionist was friendly and Dr Brown made the experience fun with her excellent personality, great sense of humor, and her attention to detail with her dental knowledge. And not to mention TVs over the dental chair while you are getting your service! I found me a dentist! Come & Join the Dental Caravan Of Love. My Grade to Dr Brown A+ ALSO THEY ARE COVID-19 PROOF
