Dr. VanHoose is from a small town in Eastern Kentucky, but he moved to Delaware, OH at the age of 14. He is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where he not only earned his bachelors degree in psychology, but his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, too. Before taking over at Upper Sandusky Dental, Dr. VanHoose provided dental care to the underserved at the Muskingum Valley Health Center in Zanesville, OH. He and his wife, Doreen, met in 2004 and were high school sweethearts. He loves Upper Sandusky because it reminds him of the small town where he grew up. In his free time, Dr. VanHoose enjoys golfing, fishing, and watching all types of sports.
Liza graduated from James A. Rhodes State College with an associates degree in applied science. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 14 years. Currently, she lives in the rural Mt. Blanchard area with her husband, Matt, and their three sons. When shes not in the office, Liza enjoys spending time outdoors on their family farm.
Jean is a lifetime resident of Upper Sandusky. She has worked as a dental assistant for 22 years. One of her favorite parts of the job is interacting with her patients. When shes not working, Jean loves spending time with her grandkids and going to their various activities and sporting events. She also enjoys going to the beach in Marblehead or Ft. Myers.
Ruth is originally from Upper Sandusky and now lives in Tiffin. She has been with us for three years running our front desk. When shes not in the office, she likes quilting, crocheting, painting, and spending time with her grandkids.
Jenni graduated from the Toledo Dental Academy and has been a dental assistant for 18 years. She lives in the Findlay area with her husband Chris and two children. When she has free time Jenni enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Jenni joined Upper Sandusky Dental in July of 2018.
Sarah grew up in Bluffton Ohio, but has lived in the Carey area for several years now with her fiance and three daughters. She has an Administrative degree and has been helping at our front desk since the beginning of 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and keeping up with her children's many sports and activities.

I was so pleased with my experience at Upper Sandusky Dental! The staff were so friendly and caring. Dr. VanHoose took amazing care of me along with his assistants and wonderful hygienists. I would highly recommend trying Upper Sandusky Dental!

I had a dental emergency and heard good things. Well, I ended up getting an appointment the next day due to being on a call list for cancelations! I was promptly seen and didn't have to wait for anything!!!! All my questions were answered and I ask a lot of questions! I look forward to going back and completing my treatment! I'm impressed

I have always had a great experience at Upper Sandusky dental. The front desk staff is extremely nice and professional, always willing to help any way they can. My hygienist that I see every visit is my absolute favorite. She is calm, takes her time, and is professional. I go twice a year for cleanings and she always manages to remember things about my life and asks how things are going... this makes you feel more like family rather than just another patient. Dr. Vanhoose is always very pleasant and is always on time, which is appreciated considering everyone is so busy in life. If you're looking for a great dental experience, I recommend Upper Sandusky Dental!

Most people Abhor going to the dentist. For obvious reasons, it can be a terrifying experience in youth, extending into our adulthood. Dr Mich has done major dental procedures to me and other members of my family l! We are always greeted with a shiny white smile, the wait time has been minimum, the staff excelled making us comfortable during the preparation phase, easing any undo anxiety. Dr Mitch explained each aspect of this exceptional dental experiences!; making sure " no pain was present" before, during and after reversed the procedure providing post dental care in spoken word and written instructions for aftercare. The receptionist listened intently to our questions and addressed each one! From start to finish; with the whole staffs professionalism was beyond providing us with " what dentistry is intended to be". I pleasant medically necessary experience for the whole family! Thank God for Dr Mitch and his excellence staff! Reviewed by a long time dental phobic, no longer fearful of dental procedures!
