Dr. Gujarati is a busy physician, mother, and wife who has always dreamed of making healthcare more convenient and accessible for those who need it. She is the co-founder of UpCare Clinics and has been practicing as an emergency physician for the last 4 years in Kansas City. She completed her residency at the University of Louisville and her medical school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Amy is an Army veteran with 24 years of medical experience in the military, 10 years of experience in Family Medicine working as an FNP. Originally from MN, she has found a home in North Kansas City with her two teenage boys. She is knowledgeable in all practices of Family Medicine, but focuses on disease, migraine, and musculoskeletal management.
She likes to keep moving her patients forward with their health goals. As a triathlete who is currently training for 70.3 Ironman in Cambridge this June, she understands the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to achieve overall balance in this busy, unpredictable world.
Michele Payne-Peterson comes to us with an extensive medical and dental and insurance background dating back to 1988. Her experiences of Dental assisting and office management for oral surgeons and general dental groups, working for large hospital organizations along with 20 years of medical and dental claims adjudication and auditing for some of the nation's largest insurance providers have given her the experience needed for the fast pace ever changing patient needs of Upcare clinics.
Growing up in SE Kansas, she made her move to the Olathe area in 1991 to encompass her son,who was diagnosed deaf in his infancy, into a deaf cultural community and for better educational and social opportunities. Michele has 5 children ranging in age from 33 to 16. In her spare time enjoys her free time with her 4 grandchildren.
