I am the person who reviews our office policies and procedures with all our new and existing patients. I maintain financial arrangements, help our patients to make the most of their dental insurance, and provide them with the most accurate information about their treatment and the associated fees. I enjoy working with all of our patients to help them in any way I can through the orthodontic process. All of our team members are the best at what they do. I love how Dr. Beagan treats his patients as if they were his own family. He takes his time with the children and feels strongly about not starting them in early treatment unless absolutely necessary.

When Im not at work, I enjoy spending time with my four amazing children and our Chihuahua. My interests include going to the gym and watching all the great New England sports teams, especially the Bruins, Red Sox, and the Patriots.

Patient sucked her thumb as a young child. She started treatment at age 13. She had braces and a special appliance called a crib to retrain the tongue, for 28 months. Now she can bite the lettuce out of a sandwich.

This adult patient, age 25, required braces and jaw surgery to correct his severe overbite, with treatment taking two years. His problem could have been corrected without surgery if he had been treated before he was a teenager.

Sometimes braces are not needed to get noticeable improvements in tooth alignment. This patient was first seen at age seven for crowding of the lower permanent teeth. A procedure was performed to reduce the width of the adjacent baby teeth and the permanent incisors aligned on their own in nine months.

Patient's parents were concerned about both aesthetics and the health of the erupting permanent teeth when they brought him to the orthodontist at age eight. The lower front teeth were crowded and touching the palate, and the upper front teeth were extremely displaced from their normal positions. After 12 months of Phase-One treatment with an expander and partial braces, patient's appearance and dental function were vastly improved.

Dr. Beagan and his team has been amazing from beginning to end. I had a very bad crooked/overcrowded teeth and my self confidence was so low. I wasn't able to smile because I was embarrassed. I decided to go with Dr. Beagan because he was recommended by my dentist. Dr. Beagan is great at what he does. I tell you, it was a miracle what he did to my teeth. I am so happy with my results. Thank you to the whole staff that was part of my treatment! You are all amazing.

Overall, Dr. Beagan is quite knowledgeable and capable yet there are still some things that are left to be desired. Towards the end of treatment I had a posterior open bite. During the retainer fitting they said that should resolve over time. It sadly did not, now my teeth are wearing unevenly, to the side that is closest to touching in the back. I now have TMJ issues which I subject the one sided chewing has contributed to. I also mentioned the looseness I felt in the retainer but they said it was fine. When I returned for them to check how the retainer was doing my bottom teeth had shifted overlapping again and then finally notice the ill fit in the retainer in the front. Ironically they said I should have mentioned it earlier which is frustrating because I did. The retainer was adjusted and I went off to college out of state. Despite my diligent wearing, the retainer slowly began cutting more and more into my gums. I sadly do not have the funds to go back and get this issue addressed now that I was past 18 and out of state. I do wish my concerns had been addressed earlier, now that my retainer is unwearable and my teeth have shifted. That being said Dr. Beagan helped me avoid jaw surgery due to my underbite which would have been expensive invasive and painful. Now that I have the option to go back to get more orthodontics work done, I hesitate if University Orthodontics is the right fit.

Buyer beware! I picked up my retainer and he said for me to make an appointment for a follow up. Once I started wearing it, I realized he didn't make it correctly. He should've moved the position of the problem tooth before sending out the molding... like the next orthodontist did. When I arrive to the 1st (and only) follow up, the receptionist wanted $80. I wasn't told there was a charge and never had a doctor charge me a fee for the first follow up for a medical device I spent hundreds on nor have I ever heard of this happening to anyone I know. He said that I would have to pay $80 if I wanted him to look at the retainer to see IF he could fix it. He also needs to learn how to treat patients in a professional manner.

Great orthodontist, I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. He's very nice and his staff of assistants are just as great and very well trained. I would recommend him to anyone that needs an orthodontist. He has a few locations across Rhode Island so you can see him no matter where you live.
