Dr. Alan Mundhenke is an alumni of the University of Illinois and the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. His favorite procedure involves closing the gaps between teeth using our tooth colored filling material. When not at the office, Alan enjoys hanging out with his wife, Sarah, and his dog, Slug. And of course cheering on our St Louis Cardinals and St Louis Blues.
Dr. Sable Muntean is a native of California, having attended college at the University of Southern California. She graduated from LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Florida, simultaneously earning her degrees as a Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master in Health Services Administration. She then attended Southern Illinois University- School of Dental Medicine, where she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency, followed by an Implant Fellowship.
Dr. Muntean has always been involved in leadership and volunteering, having won multiple awards for her efforts, and was just recently inducted into the esteemed Pierre Fauchard Academy. She is an active member of various organizations such as the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Muntean has also published research on implants in Compendium, a world-renowned dental journal, and enjoys presenting research and giving lectures around the world. She also spends her time helping pre-dental students on their journeys to dental school through an organization she co-founded in 2015 called ignitePreDent.
Dr. Muntean has also trained in Brazil with Dr. Newton Fahl to excel in composite, also known as 'tooth colored,' restorations. She loves participating in Continuing Education courses by tremendous dentists such as those in the Dawson Academy, Pankey Institute, and Spear Institute.
Dr. Muntean also speaks Romanian and French, loves to travel, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Dr. Muntean cannot wait to give your smile the attention it deserves and take care of your dental needs!

Everyone here is friendly & professional! The Dentists, hygienists, assistants are all skilled & informative, along with the office staff. The office is efficient, clean, updated & affordable.

The staff is always polite and friendly. The nurse tells you what she is going to do before they do it. Dr. Alan always has a smile on his face. Asking how your day been. Then ask are there any concerns. Then he will say let's get started and begin saying what he is doing and during the procedure he will say how are you during are you okay. University Dental is a good dentist to have.

We have been patients of Dr Uelk for many years. When he retired he referred us to University Dental. We reside in St Charles and did not realize how far we had to travel. My dental hygienist was friendly and very thorough and gave me the best cleaning I've ever had. Dr Mayfield was professional and pointed out some problems. I just wish you were closer to us. The older we get the farther things become. Thanks, John & Diane N.

The people to know the place to be. For any an all your dental needs start a relationship with UDC. Believe me they take care of their own. If, you are their client they will not let you suffer they'll have your back by supplying your needs. I woke up with a problem they worked me in. It was an abscess that needed attention. I feel better already.

I am always nervous when going to the dentist. This dentist and helper were very calm which helped me a lot. I am glad the hard part of getting a crown is over. Thanks to the dental staff my experience was good. I'd say great, but it's the dentist. Lol

I love her!! She I'd so much fun, the laughter. I would be so disappointed if anyone else has to clean my teeth, and I can't remember her name. She has cleaned my teeth the 3 times I've has them done, maybe 4

Good morning my name is Blade I recently had a dental appointment at University Dental Care . I enjoyed being at this dental care. The greet staff was very knowledgeable especially helping me fill out my paper forms on their tablets. The dental assistant was very professional and caring. She took her time and explained all the answers to my questions. When I met the dentist he took concerned time with me...not rushing me. He referred me to another dentist for the type of dentistry I will need. I will be coming back to University Dental Care after my dental surgery has been taken care of. Their office is very neat and the initial area in the building is actually huge with sectioned off dental rooms. I will be back mainly because the dental sections rooms are VERY, VERY CLEAN! I felt VERY, VERY comfortable also. Thank you....Blade
