Dr. Rivera earned a Dental Medicine Doctor Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with clinical honors. Furthermore, she was recognized with the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit for her outstanding achievement in the pursuit of excellence in the undergraduate study of Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania among 130 classmates. Also, in 1999, Dr. Rivera earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the 'Universidad Javeriana' one of the most prestigious universities in Colombia.
Dr. Rivera has completed continuing education in Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, interceptive orthodontics, implant dentistry, and laser dentistry. Dr. Rivera is Invisalign, laser, and nitrous oxide certified; besides, she is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Great welcoming and smiling front office staff who will remember who you are. The cleanings are quick and the hygienists do a great job. Universal Dental Spa does not try to sell you anything that you do not need. Universal Dental Spa is the best in the Area!

So far, the best of the best. Ana, the dental assistant was wonderful and very informative every step of the way. The staff is fast and respects the time of your appointment. I am looking forward to continuing to make this place my home for dental care. On an extra note, the new patient paperwork is completed online which creates a very smooth and fast check-in. I have had bad experiences with dentist all my life. This was the first time my teeth was treated with care. Anna also took the time to explain Everything to me before working on my teeth. Initally l lamented dealing with the traffic enroute, however, after I received such a warm welcome,..receptionist knew who I was and greeted me by name upon arrival, I forgot about the drive. Hilde is just outstanding ..and the atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. Will definitely be back. Kudos.

My awesome experience is one to share, from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. I truly appreciated the kindness and warmth that it was extended, they make you feel welcome. Dr and assistance took time to my concern. The hygienist is very thorough and caring The Dentist Dr. Margarita Rivera was Amazing!!! She's caring, quick and efficient. Excellent experience! The idea of a spa wasn't really connected to a dentist office in my mind before. After visiting Universal Dental Spa, I can say that they are not far from being one. They treat patients really well and their compliment services, are really something especial. They ask you before the appointment, things that you would like to have like chapstick, water, a pillow, and your fears related to dentists offices... it was the first time that I was asked something like that and that my answers were actually taken into account. It was great!
