Dr. Parrish has served as a consultant and trainer for dental implant manufacturers. He has completed both clinical and basic science research on dental implants and periodontics and published research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Parrishs expertise was sought out in the national Barrons magazine for an article on the future of implant dentistry:

Dr. Parrish has been married to his beautiful wife Rita, a registered nurse and Owensboro native, since 1989. His daughter Kaitlin was a Governors Scholar and Valedictorian of her high school class and is currently enrolled in Centre College.

Dr. Matthew Vierra is a Diplomat (Board Certified) of the American Board of Periodontology and a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There he earned his certificate in Periodontics as well as a master's degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Vierra was born and raised in Hawaii and came to Texas by way of Omaha Nebraska where he attended Creighton Dental School. He is an alumnus of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and recipient of the American College of Dentists Outstanding Leader Award. In addition to his periodontal background, Dr. Vierra trained for two years in a formal Prosthodontic residency program at the Health Science Center before changing his certificate program to Periodontics. Dr. Vierra has published scientific articles in the Journal of Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implants Research, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and Compendium. While Dr. Vierra shares a common love and respect for prosthetic dentistry with his colleagues, he prefers to focus his skill set on providing surgical solutions for routine as well as complex restorative cases. Although Dr. Vierra is not a native of Louisville, he got here as soon as he could with his wife, who is a practicing veterinarian in town, and his four boys who keep him busy on the weekends.

Dr. Vierra and his staff are skilled professionals. I've had 3 procedures in the Indiana office. Communications is excellent and my appointments have been punctual. The care the team takes to make your experience a good one is above and beyond. Most importantly Dr. Vierra's expertise and manner of delivery is exceptional. I highly recommend this practice.

I had my original appt with Dr Parrish who ordered a in office scan for $179. He stated he would call me within a week with decision if I was a candidate for implants. Weeks went by and I had called office multiple times. Finally someone answered and scheduled me with Dr. Vierra. I was hesitant because he is not the one my doctor referred me to for treatment. The asst stated he was the owner of the UnitedSmiles. The appt was set for 09/15/2021 at 4:00pm. The date of the visit I received a voicemail stating I could come in at 2pm due to a cancellation. Unfortunately, I had another Dr. appt at 2pm. I left that doctor at approx. 3:30pm. On the way to Dr. Vierra's office I had a colon attack. I've had Crohn's for 36 yrs. with occasional flares. I headed for home. Sad to say, I didn't make it to the toilet in time and there was a great mess to clean. By the time I and my surroundings were clean, it was 4:20pm and I was late for my appt. Upon phoning the doctor's office, his assistant answered. I identified myself and tried to explain my situation. She interrupted me with a very raised and stern voice stating, "the doctor waited over a hour and 20 minutes and he's gone". Also, he says with your complications you should go somewhere else. In conclusion, 1) I should be refunded for the x-ray because there was no intent to treat, 2) Dr. Vierra didn't wait for me an hour and 15 min because my appt was at 4:00pm, 3) I don't always have control of my Crohn's, 4) I have never been spoken to with such a sharp tongue and nasty tone from a healthcare professional (and I have worked healthcare for years). Her tone and words were belittling. My thoughts of her is that, she is not earning clients for the practice, but instead deterring them away. Her strength is not with public communication.
