Dr. Sung commits to education in the latest development in dentistry. He invests in advanced technology to give his patients the most comfortable and optimal care. He earned the Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2019 after extensive didactic and practical continued education. He was granted the Concept of Complete Dentistry Award upon his study in Functional Occlusion with the Dawson Academy in 2013. He started his training in Implant Dentistry in 1996. He was awarded Diplomate in the American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID) in 2005 and Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) in 2012.
Dr. Sung graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1993. Upon graduation, he was invited to be a part-time faculty in clinical teaching at NYU College of Dentistry. He was much loved by his students and directors for the past 25+ years. Before then, he was in private practice in Hong Kong after graduating from the premier Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong in 1988.
Dr. Chau Chan graduated from Binghamton University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She completed her dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and was awarded with honors in Prosthodontics and Endodontics and membership to Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. While in Connecticut, she participated in surgical externships including an oral health mission trip to Curarrehue, Chile. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Chan enjoys keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education courses. She strives to provide quality dental care to her patients. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Dr. Lo graduated from Cornell University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Dental School in 2006. He completed his General Practice Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2007. Dr. Lo is certified in general dentistry and provides dental services for the entire family.
His goal is to help you achieve a beautiful healthy smile in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Lo strives to develop lifelong relationships by providing you with sufficient information to make educated decisions towards your oral health and treatment options.
He takes pride in utilizing the best in dental technology and staying current with the latest dental procedures and techniques. Dr. Lo is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and New York State Dental Association (NYSDA).
Dr. Roe grew up in NYC and has her education background from Stony Brook University for Bachelor of Science and NYU College of Dentistry for doctorate. She continued her training with general practice residency at New York Methodist Hospital to widen her skill set in wide range of dental procedures.
Yuko earned her dental hygiene degree from the Asahi College of Medical and Health Professionals in Japan (formerly Okayama Dental Hygienist Technical College) with honors and Presidents recognition. After becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), she worked in both private practices and general hospitals. She has researched and presented multiple times at dental conferences on oral health and its connection to systemic diseases.
At the request of her hometown, she was appointed representative of the dental welfare plan and participated in an inspection tour of Northern Europe, which included the mayor and other city assembly members. She was chosen to be a dental hygiene trainee and technical intern program in New York.
In the United States, she earned her degree in dental hygiene from the NYU College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top 10th percentile of her class. She was a NYU representative presenter at the Greater New York Dental Meeting and received the Dental Hygienist Professional Award in Preventive Oral Health Care from Procter & Gamble. She loves to be at the cutting edge of dental discovery by continuing her education. She has been lecturing to dental hygiene students at colleges in Japan and her dental articles have been published in many Japanese dental hygiene journals, newspapers and textbooks.

They were my dentist when I lived in Bayside and I really like them. They're very thorough, friendly and the office is always clean. However when I moved to Long Island and as much as I really like them, I thought it wasn't worth the 25-30 minute travel time. I found a dentist under a mile from my home and after about a year I realized United Family Dentist was well worth the drive from Long Island. I've been making that drive for a number of years now and have no intention of stopping, that should say a lot. I highly recommend them.

My family and I have been coming to United Family Dentist and we love it here. This office is hands down the BEST. From the warm greeting from the front desk workers to the dental staff communication with you to ensure that you are comfortable. They practice all Covid-19 protocols with sanitizing station, temperature checks to even sending you forms to fill out by text. I really love this office and will continue to come here.

They are very professional straight to the point. Did a cleanup plus checkup, my last appointment with another I had much pain, but here? No pain whatsoever. Sucks that the dentist that took care of me is retiring, but I have heard the others were as good as him.
