Dr. Syed continues to take advanced continuing education in dental implant surgeries and prosthetics including soft tissue grafting and abd engineering, hard tissue grafting and engineering, sinus grafting, full arch reconstruction including Teeth Express protocol and Hybridge protocol. Over the last ten years, Dr. Syed has successfully placed thousands of root form implants and mini implants.
Dr. Syed continues to attend seminars with some of the gurus in the implant dentistry field, including Dr. Pikos, Dr. Salama, Dr. Misch, and Dr. Lamar. Because of Dr. Syeds dedication to continuing education, he has placed over 2,500 implants and mini implants successfully.
Dr. Sarah Bakar was born and raised in Central New Jersey before she made her way to the Big Apple. She attended New York University College of Arts and Science where she received her Bachelors in Biochemistry. She then went on to New York University College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). During her time there, she helped with research to develop guidelines for caries risk assessments. After this, Dr. Bakar moved to Connecticut accepted a position in a general practice residency program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
Eventually, Dr. Bakar made her way back to New York and practicing in Rochester and Buffalo before settling into Union Street Dentistry in Schenectady. Dr. Bakar is committed to giving gentle, kind and caring services to all her patients. She is also active in taking continuing education courses so that she can keep up to date with the latest advancements and research in dentistry, to give patients the best care.
