Dr. Mike grew up in the less sunny state of California where he became a member of the UCLA Bruins. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UCSF, where he graduated top of his class and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
He completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Harvard School of Dental Medicine | Boston Childrens Hospital. His advanced program included extensive training in various sedation techniques, pediatric advanced life support, facial trauma, cleft and craniofacial conditions, and care for children with special healthcare needs.
Doing his part to advance knowledge in his profession, Dr. Mike serves as the pediatric expert reviewer for the Journal of American Dental Association (JADA). He is also a published author in the journal for his award-winning research on dental sealants.
Away from the office, Dr. Mike volunteers as an adjunct faculty member at Boston Childrens Hospital to train the next generation of dental students and residents. He and his wife Heather love the outdoors, paintballing, and grilling with family and friends.
After receiving his degree from KSU, hestarted his working careerin Oklahoma City. During this time, he wasn't always confident with his smile.As a result, hestarted orthodontic treatment and began to see his smile transform, confidence build, and he truly began smiling in pictures for the first time. His orthodontic experience dramatically changed the direction of his life, and ultimately he decided to pursue dental school in order to become an orthodontist.
Dr. Gabe has treated thousands of smiles during his career andloves treating patients with both traditional braces and Invisalign. He has become incredibly proficient with incorporating Invisalign into his treatment options and enjoys offering this approach to many patients who are seeking a more subtle and convenient way of receiving orthodontic treatment.
As a board-certified orthodontist, a designation held by only 30% of orthodontists, Dr. Gabecannot think of a better job hes suited for, and is honored to have the privilege of providing orthodontic treatment to the families he serves. He is passionate about serving others, enjoys meeting new families, and takes great pride in creating healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Gabeis married to his wife, Maddie, and they have two Goldendoodles, Tallie and Jax. He loves being outdoors and enjoys triathlons, running, swimming, biking, skiing, hiking, sipping on a cup of coffee, and playing golf.

such an amazing group of people! they make you feel like family. dr. gabe and his team walk you though different options on treatment and explain the process so you know exactly what to expect. they're flexible on the payment side of things and truly care about their patients. cannot recommend enough!!!

We took our daughter Zoey to her first dental appointment at 13 months. The staff was not only welcoming, but also made all of us including Zoey feel comfortable. The dentist shared a lot of great information to help us give our daughter great oral care. We are looking forward to our next visit. If you are considering bringing your little one I highly recommend it. One of the friendliest experiences we have had. Plus the dentist made her a ballon bear and gave her a small toy when she started to get uncomfortable. It's the small things that make a difference.

This place is AMAZING! From the beautiful facilities, to the friendly staff, to the thorough care! They are exceptional in making your kiddos feel comfortable with going to the dentist and making it fun - balloon animals, toy chest, and the extremely passionate/personable staff. Dr Mike is incredible! I can't speak highly enough of this practice and staff. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist this should hands down be your choice.

Honestly can't say enough good things about the staff here. They are so incredibly warm and welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They're completely transparent with your treatment plan and the costs associated as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

Most amazing experience for both myself and my kiddo. Both Dr. Mike and Dr Gabe are gentle and kind and so detail oriented. I really appreciated the time and care put into the visit and the explanation behind everything and trying to provide comfort to my anxious kiddo. Peg at the front desk I can't say enough wonderful things about her either , from the first phone call , she is so calm and funny and has a very natural ease about her. They make a great team and hope the experience continues as such.

The entire staff was so kind and caring throughout my son's very first dental appointment. Dr. Hong was wonderful with my 18-month-old son, immediately making him feel comfortable-he even made it through the whole dental exam without any tears! He was gentle and thorough and took the time to explain what he was doing and answer all questions that I had. My son also LOVED the balloon animal he made him. We had such a great experience, and we will definitely be recommending Dr. Hong and the Union pediatric team to other parents of littles.

We had the best experience we have ever had at the dentist. My daughter is very sensitive and I was stressed before the appointment, but they made sure she had a good time. It was fun for her. They had a TV on top her chair and a toy and a butterfly balloon afterwards. They went above and beyond!!! I recommend it.

If you are looking for an orthodontist or pediatric dentist go to Union Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry! I am so glad I did. Their customer service is amazing - kind, always available, easy to talk to, so welcoming. Their dental staff is very knowledgeable and so good with kids - personable, set my son at ease, take my son's needs and growth into consideration, and communicate clearly. Their office is clean and beautiful. You will not regret your experience here. Definitely worth a phone call if you have a kiddo in need!

From the second we stepped into the office, we were welcomed as though we were family. It was our 1 year old's first dentist appointment and the care with which we were treated, from Peg at the front desk, to Esther, to Dr. Mike, was unparalleled. Everyone exuded patience and care, critical when you're dealing with the unpredictable whims of a little one. It's hard to believe I could even say this about a dentist visit, but the whole experience felt like a warm hug! Dr. Gabe even took the time to introduce himself and we weren't seeing him. Just wow!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! What else can I say. From the beginning, all of the staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. They were so kind and thorough with their explanations not only to me, but also to my two year old son. They really seem to go out of their way to make the whole experience fun and comfortable for my baby. It was his first dentist appt. ever, and we will DEFINITELY be back. The team at Union Orthodontics is phenomenal! I'm currently a few weeks into my Invisalign work and they have been so helpful during the process. I had some issues at the beginning with one of my metal buttons, but Dr. Gabe was quick to help and we figured out a solution for that. I would highly recommend any and everyone in need of orthodontic work to head over to Union because I can guarantee that you will be taken care of!

An amazing experience bringing my 7 year old and 9 year old in for checkups & a consultation. Both of my kiddos said that everyone was so nice and they never want to go anywhere else. My son who is 7, has never let anyone willingly look in his mouth, and for the first time he got everything checked out with ease and zero resistance. Really overall a lovely experience!

Cannot say enough about how fantastic this practice is with kids! So kind and patient and their experience with little ones truly shows. One of our kiddos (both 1.5 years old) was a little more nervous but Dr. Hong was amazing at getting him to cooperate gently and by making it fun. AND HE MAKES BALLOON ANIMALS! I wish he could be MY dentist! The staff are so terrific too. Peg up front was so helpful and accommodating getting us scheduled and the dental assistant/hygienist was fantastic with the kids as well. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. I feel so confident that my kids will not grow up scared of the dentist with Union!! Highly, highly recommend.

Took my newborn in to have her assessed for lip/tongue tie and to establish care. This was the 8th office I had called trying to find a pediatric dentist to do the assessment and they worked us in asap! Everyone from the front desk to Dr Hong was fantastic and so accommodating and helpful. Even the orthodontist came and introduced himself to mwle. Dr Hong chatted with me and waited patiently while my little one ate, then did a thorough exam and explained everything to me in detail. He ensured I understood everything and gave me ample time to ask all of my questions. Highly recommend!

A mom friend recommended Dr. Mike and Union Pediatric, and I am so glad we switched. Everyone at the office were so friendly, and Dr. Mike was very thorough. The office was clean, and my kids felt very comfortable. Dr. Mike also made them animal balloons before they left. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Mike.
