Dr. Gonzalez, one of our bilingual dentists, was born in Cali, Colombia and completed his dental education at Universidad del Valle. After practicing for two years in his country, Dr. Gonzalez moved to the US to further his education. He attended New York University, where he obtained his DDS as the president of the Hispanic Dental Students Association. From there, Dr. Gonzalez completed his General Practice Residency at St. Josephs Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. He joined our staff in 2011.
Dr. Gonzalez believes the learning is a never ending process. In this pursuit, he has certified himself in Invisalign technology and is also a member of several prestigious associations including the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been serving the Charlotte community since 2008 and his conservative approach to dentistry allows him to the time to listen and understand his patients views and needs.
Dr. Hatten attended Belhaven University in Jackson, MS, where she earned her bachelors degree in Chemistry. After graduation Dr. Hatten moved to Memphis, TN, to attend the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, she served as a Captain and Dentist in the United States Army for 4 years. At a young age Dr. Hatten knew she wanted to be a dentist thanks to the influence of her parents. They encouraged her to strive to help others, to seek a balance between work and home life and most important to stay committed to providing dental care to those in need. Thus, believing that continuing education is essential to excellent patient care Dr. Hatten continually seeks out the most current and the best continuing education courses to make sure you are always given the best treatment options available.
Dr. Alesia Hatten decided to move to Charlotte area after serving 4 years and joined the Friendly Dental Group dental practice. Dr. Hatten currently resides in Charlotte area with her family and is excited to make it her home. Dr. Hatten is dedicated to providing a superior dental experience for her patients focusing on a relationship-based care.

This place is amazing! From all the staff that I personally interacted with to the treatment plan put in place and the atmosphere is very friendly. I must confess that it has been way too long since I went to the dentist but they made me feel welcomed and relaxed not judged! I would definitely recommend and I've scheduled my next appointment already.

I was so very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff! They made me feel completely at ease, especially Brandy, the dental hygienist. The office was very clean and inviting. Dr. Hatten was very thorough and discussed concerns. I have a dental plan in place now and feel confident being in the care of this staff! 1

Well I just tried to make an appointment; the lady on the phone seemed friendly enough until I told the insurance I carry, rather than say we don't accept that insurance and giving me the option to pay cash she hung up on me. Guess I won't be getting work done there.
