Dr. Nancy Herbst has more than 25 years of experience and has been named one of New Jerseys top oral surgeons, as nominated by her peers, for several years in a row. She is the owner of Union City Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Group, which opened in 2011.
At local hospitals, Dr. Herbst performs major surgery, from broken jaw repair to facial reconstruction due to traumatic injury. She also works with special needs patients. She proudly trains residents at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Jersey City Medical Center.

Yesterday I came and got all my teeth pulled out I thought I was going to be in so much pain and I'm not and I want to thank everyone there from the doctors to the staff you did a wonderful job keep up the good work

Everyone at this dental surgery from the receptionists to the assistants to the actual dentist herself are both amiable and professional. When I went to make the appointment I was given one on the afternoon of the next day.My appointment was for 3:15 and was finished with my x- rays and surgery and leaving the office a little over 30 minutes later.I hardly felt the tooth being extracted and I expected it to be somewhat difficult as the offending tooth was broken at the gum line.The dentist had it out in seconds with the minimum of suffering on my part.

From the moment you come in contact with them you feel like you'll be in taken care of. The office and facilities are quite nice and clean and the staff is exceptionally pleasant and patient. The doctors are great as well and make you feel at peace and understand the procedures

Very beautiful establishment. All the staff are great. The doctor made me feel extremely comfortable. When I woke up, I thought it had only been 5 mins but they were done. 100% recommend them for oral surgeries!

The office has been difficult to deal with regarding the insurance resulting in excessive out of pocket cost for us. They promised us during the visit that the payment they were asking us to make at the time was only an estimate but will be adjusted later on once they process the insurance claim fully. They are covered under our medical and dental insurance but they chose to use "out of network" option for claim filing. The person picking up the phone in the office blames it on their billing department which apparently is not available on the phone to sort this out. They have not responded to our emails either. If you want to exchange the pain of your wisdom teeth with the pain of dealing with their office on numerous follow-ups and pay even for insurance covered services, this may be a place you want to visit.

Yesterday I went to this location to extract a tooth. Unfortunately after my tooth was removed I didn't get thorough instructions on how to care for the hole in my mouth and the pain I would feel after the numbness dissipated. However they explained thoroughly the process and the amount of money it would cost me to get an implant. The worst part of the whole experience was that they never gave me a prescription. I went to my pharmacy 3 hours later to pick up my prescription and there was nothing there. Meanwhile I was in excruciating pain and I had to settle for advil. Sadly it didn't work. I'm assuming that at the very least I should have been prescribed a special mouth wash to properly rinse my mouth in such a delicate time. It's 3am and I'm here writing a review because I can't sleep from the pain. This is so very disappointing.

I like everything but the wait was ridiculous my appointment was at 9:00 I did get there late only a half hour not an hour because I'm not from out there and traffic was crazy but I didn't get seen until like 12:00 after I went to the front desk and said something but dentist I had was perfect and the assistant as well. Was not crazy about the receptionist at the front desk she had an attitude thank you

Doctor are great !!!! , but recovery sucks they want you to call your ride when your mouth is numb and full gauze. Your ride can not wait inside so they are suppose to call your ride to let them know the procedure is done but they don't do it. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. The staff needs so much organization in this area.!!!

I was in awful pain . My appointment was for a a week after and I couldn't take the pain it was affecting my job . I called and they took me same day . You have to wait a little but , it was worth it . Staff AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY even when patients are getting ancy, getting up n complaining they been waiting for too long . The staff remained positive and completely professional!! Showed attention to detail to the PATIENT . We are all there for one reason we're all in pain n they understood .
