Dr. Candace A. Grace is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Grace is a 2001 Cum Laude graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Chemistry. In 2003, she earned a Masters of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Grace pursued and attained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2007 from Howard University College of Dentistry. She also earned a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2009 from Howard University College of Dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Grace serves as a Kids Life Ministry leader at Lakewood Church. She also enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family, friends and her toy poodle Logan. She is a proud supporter of World Vision a Christian Humanitarian Organization. Dr. Grace currently sponsors two children, Gabriella from Guatemala and Mgcini from Kenya. In addition to children, she is a huge animal lover and donates monthly to the American Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty.
Dr. Grace is active in the Greater Houston community, consistently demonstrating a commitment to children through both personal and civic endeavors. Dr. Grace is committed to childrens health, and regularly volunteers and supports programs promoting kids health awareness. She provides free dental screenings and voluntarily participates in numerous health fairs to educate patients and their parents on preventive dental care.
We believe in making your childs dental visit easy, entertaining and educational. Dr. Grace and her team have specialized training to work with infants, children, young adults, and children with special health care needs.
Jimena was born in Houston, TX and currently works our front desk here at Under My Pillow Pediatric Dentistry. She is happily married to her husband, Victor, and likes to spend her free time traveling around the world, walking the trails at Bridgeland Park, visiting the Houston Aquarium, and finding new places to eat. Her favorite movie is Toy Story and if she could have one superpower, she would want to be able to teleport. Her favorite thing about working at our dental practice is seeing how happy the kids get with Dr. Grace and making sure every parent is satisfied.
Lakeyia is one of our dental assistants here at Under My Pillow Pediatric Dentistry. She is a Military Brat who grew up and lived in many different places around the world. She is currently engaged and a mother to four wonderful children and her favorite movies to watch are The Goonies and the Harry Potter Series. During her free time she enjoys couponing, planning, and crafting, while occasionally camping at canyon lake and visiting museums. Her favorite quote is, Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. which has shaped her into who she is today. The thing she loves most about working at our dental practice is our teamwork and our family atmosphere.
Tiffani was born and raise in Houston, TX where she has grown up loving the environment here in Texas. She is a dental assistant here at Under My Pillow Pediatric Dentistry and loves working and interacting with the kids. She is currently married to her husband Irving and loves spending time with her four dogs, Lexy, Canelo, Chiquis, and Hatchi. During her free time she likes to explore new places, watch movies at the theater, and shop at Houston Premium Outlets. Her favorite movie to watch is Lilo & Stitch and if she could have one superpower, she said it would be telekinesis. Her favorite thing about working at Under My Pillow is that she loves working with children and helping them overcome their fear of being at the dentist, Kids are so fun to work with because they are loving, funny, tiny humans.

De Grace was nothing less than incredible. She knew my kids by name. We saw her for over 10 years prior to her buying her own practice. Hearing of her death was and is heartbreaking. She truly cared for each and every person. She knew each person and genuinely cared.

Dr. May and her staff have taken wonderful care of my daughters. We so appreciate their patience and flexibility. Dr. May took so much time to answer all of our questions and make my girls feel comfortable. We are so appreciative of their efforts.

Experience was great. But, I wish I didn't have to get referred to another different dentist after being referred to them from a dentist prior for the same exact thing. They are a part of the pediatric dentistry, and I am having to go to a different dentist for treatment that was told by a dentist prior to under the pillow.. I just thought that everything would be done here. I'm tired of running around and my son crying from pain nearly everyday. What a shame. Nice place, just upset that they can't care for my sons extremities.

Very unwilling to work a child and working then in when there is an issue. My daughter had her teeth cleaned on the 10th. She developed an abscess a week later on a friday afternoon. We called first thing Monday and we were told that we could not been seen until Thursday. I'm sorry but I will not leave my 8 year old in pain that long. When I asked to speak to Dr. Grace I was told she was not in. This is sad because we loved this place.

Dr. Grace is the best!! This 5 star review is long overdue and I should have written it a couple years ago when my older son first went there. Dr. Grace and her staff were wonderful then and still amazing now with my youngest baby boy whose had some major work done this year and just today. Dr.G and her staff are great with my super hyper son and is always soooo patient with him. I couldn't imagine my kids ever going to anyone else. Thank you Dr. G and staff for being so good to our little j.

Under My Pillow is the best pediatric dentistry clinic that we've ever been! My daughter is highly sensitive and easily gets worried about any type of medical treatment. We failed to get her dental works done at many other places for many years until we met Dr. Grace and her staff. We are impressed that everyone here is friendly and patient. They know kids' emotions and mindset very well, and can develop effective strategies to handle my daughter's fear. Stylish environment, clearly explained billing, things are just perfect here.

My children absolutely love coming to the dentist! Dr. Grace and her staff are very patient and kind. I especially like the precautions taken during Covid by limiting the number of patients seen at a given time. We drive about an hour both ways to UMPPD because Dr. Grace is great!

Our experience here was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. I truly appreciate the fact that they are taking the extra precautions against covid by limiting the amount of people in the office. I feel very comfortable bringing my children back again in the future!..

I think we've have a winner!!! It's been a journey trying to find the right dentist office where my son is comfortable and the experience is positive for everyone. In the pass my son would get really excited at his dental visits and it would take a lot to get him calm and comfortable. Under My Pillow Pediatric Dentistry seems to have it figured out. The office is fresh and inviting for the whole family. The positive atmosphere made my son's appointment joy-able. I'm happy I made the decision to try this location.
