Uncommon Orthodontics, a clinic affiliated with Rock Dental Brands, partnered with Joplin School District as the halftime free throw event sponsor for the boys and girls varsity basketball games in February. Participants signed up prior to tip-off, and at halftime joined members of the Uncommon team at half court to see who could make the most shots in one minute. Dr. Soyfan Sayfo, an orthodontic specialist at Uncommon, attended the game along with clinic team leader, Madison Ritter, and encouraged attendees to participate in the halftime festivities for a chance to win a free Philips Zoom Whitening Kit that will help them build a happier, brighter smile from the comfort of their home.

Bad service, they don't answer phone calls, don't send a referral information on time to other dentists. Very bad experience. I do not recommend using the service of this clinic, there are several others in the area that can be used.

Such a great place to have work done. They are very friendly and accommodating and my daughter always leaves with a smilei 100% recommend to every parent i know who has a child needing ortho work

Did wonderful job on my kid's teeth! They're straight with plenty of room for wisdom teeth to come in. They were really patient with special needs kid!

We absolutely LOVE the staff! Everyone is always so pleasant! I've never been to a place of business where every employee you meet is pleasant, until we started my daughters braces at uncommon orthodontist. They are the best!

My girl got braces from here long story short didn't finish them fully got them removed and got a retainer we were told was temporary coke back two weeks for the new one apparently it came in the mail broken that morning they called me at 9:00 my appointment time so two weeks later I come back she goes in and they tell her she actually ist getting another retainer a permanent one per say anyways I spent like $30 in gas coming to these appointments and they clamors they called me this second appointment which is a lie... all I have to say is this place is very sketchy why tell me there broken on a mail truck then say actully you don't get another set I've had a couple other weird appointments with this place I don't suggest it find else where in Joplin many more !

So all together I had my braces on for about 2 years and 7 months. I transferred from an office in Texas down to Uncommon Orthodontics in Joplin. The process was actually quite easy transferring from one place to another. I give four stars because there was a lot of turnover the year and a half that I was there with the orthodontists. At the end they finally got an orthodontist to stay that had been there for a while now. I liked him, he was ok. Didn't try to get to know you or anything but was friendly and professional. With the assistants it's either a hit or a miss. I appreciated several of the assistants but there were some other assistants that I would ask not to get. When I transferred over I had ceramic braces which uncommon doesn't use or really like to deal with. They would always complain that I had them but I didn't want to pay full price to get them taken off just to put on traditional braces because it was extra work for them. All in all it was a pleasant experience. I am happy to have my braces off and that's all that matters. This was the only office I checked into when moving to Joplin so I can't compare it to any other orthodontic offices. I would recommend this place because they do accept payment plans and care credit for low income people such as myself. Anyways they did give me a pretty smile so I thank them for that and I would recommend them to anyone.

Both of my kids are patients at Uncommon Orthodontics. My daughter just got her braces off today and my son got his on the week before Christmas. As a parent I love everything about Uncommon! They made the whole process so easy. The expense of braces is very manageable by breaking it into monthly payments. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have never had to wait long to be seen. They treat us quickly and we are always in and out in no time. They have very modern technology which allows them to provide the best and most efficient care possible. As a patient my daughter said they are so quick and efficient at what they do. She would 10/10 recommend them to anyone and everyone! They were able to widen her smile, making room for all of her teeth without having to do any extractions.
