Traci grew up in Grafton, West Virginia graduating from Grafton High School. Traci has known she wanted to be a dental hygienist since age 12. After high school, she attended West Liberty State College and received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She received her license to practice dental hygiene from the State of West Virginia and practiced there for four years.Desiring a warmer climate, she followed her brother to Florida in 1990, and has practiced here since. She brings to the office of Drs. Nelson and Millingen over 20 years of experience. This shows in her ability to relate to her patients in a clear, compassionate, and joyful manner. She truly cares for them as she would want to be cared for. She gives each person the best dentistry can offer while establishing a lifelong relationship with them.To achieve this, she focuses her continuing education on courses specific to periodontal health and the relationship of that to our overall health. In her pursuit, she has gained vast knowledge in the fields of traditional and alternative medicine and how they relate to dentistry. She excels in helping her patients understand their dental needs and how their overall health influences their oral health and vice versa. Striving to be comprehensive in her approach to her patients, she sees each person as an individual and seeks to know them as a friend. Her ability to explain complex issues to her patients makes her a great asset to our practice.Traci's passion is working with youth. She has volunteered in Youth Ministry since giving her life to the Lord. She exhibits great skill in relating to teens, caring for each of them as if they were her own. She also leads the dental team for Grace Church Melbourne mission trips to Guatemala. They go regularly and attend to their medical, dental and spiritual needs. She blesses us with her gifts of professionalism and fellowship.
Nakiyah was born in Melbourne, Florida and relocated to Palm Bay at a young age. She graduated in 2015 from Bayside High School. She wasn't sure what career she wanted, but she knew she wanted to be in the Dental Field. In 2020, she took charge and attended Concorde Career College for Dental Assisting. She graduated in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA and was a Lamplighter, which meant she assisted the Instructor in teaching the other students about making temporary crowns, x-rays, and other chairside necessities. She worked as a dental assistant for a couple of months trying to find her dental home, which she has now found at Ultimate Smile Design.
We are thrilled to have Nikki onboard. She takes pride in everything she does. She treats her patients how she would want family members to be treated. Seeing our patients faces light up when they see their new smile warms her heart and lets her know she's doing her job right.
Sherri is a Florida native and a graduate from Palm Bay High School in 1981. She attended Eastern Florida State Nursing Assistant Program in 1981 and worked for Holmes Regional Medical Center for several years before attending Eastern Florida State Dental Assisting Program, graduating in 1984.
Sherri has worked in the Melbourne area as a Dental Assistant and an Office Manager, working in all the specialties. Sherri owned and operated a dental temporary agency and has also worked in a local dental laboratory. Her laboratory experience is very unique and has allowed us to streamline communication and patient care.
Carmen was born and raised here in Melbourne, FL. She is the mother of one super sweet princess. Carmen has 19 years of experience in dentistry with skills from practice administration to office management. She is also licensed in dental radiology. Its safe to say dentistry is truly Carmens passion.
Ann Marie was born in Rhode Island and moved to South Florida in 1963 when her father retired from the U.S. Navy. She began her career in dentistry in 1981 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She received her dental hygiene degree as a part of the charter class of Brevard Community College in 1991. She considers herself a people person whose goal is to offer her patients a pleasant dental experience. Her wealth of knowledge is only surpassed by her gentle spirit and touch.
Ann Marie's passions are volunteering and traveling, having been to Europe 3 times, her first going as an exchange student. She and her husband of 31 years, Dave, have 2 children, Harrison and Hannah.
Roberta started her career in dentistry in 1980 as a dental assistant and brings more than 20 years of hygiene experience to our team. She has a knack for motivating patients to make caring for their teeth and gums a priority. Roberta also educates our patients about the latest restorative and cosmetic dental advances. Our patients love the gentle touch Roberta provides while getting their teeth cleaned.

Promise in Brevards mission is to provide an opportunity for adults with special needs to live full and independent lives. Promise in Brevard, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2009 as a way to provide a much-needed housing opportunity for young adults with special needs. It gives them a sense of independence long yearned for, while simultaneously living, working and thriving in their community.
Promise residents have an inclusive, safe and fun place to live, amongst neighbors who care. Promise offers vocational training and employment opportunities with on-site training and continuing education.The Promise concept was developed with the help of a special group of young individuals, known asThe Dream Team. From the amenities to the floor plans, this team of future residents worked closelywith designers since day one, sharing their thoughts and visions about everything the Promise lifestyleshould offer.
Dr. Nelsons heart has belonged to Promise in Brevard from the time she first learned about it. She was asked to join the Board of Directors by Executive Director, Betsy Farmer, about 10 years ago and has enjoyed every aspect of her service. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Board and is continually inspired by Betsys energy, tenacity, and faith in serving the special needs community and the community of Brevard as a whole.
Dr. Nelson says, Personally, Ive grown so much as a human being and as a dentist by knowing our Promisers. We are blessed to take care of many Promisers as patients. Dr. Milllingen and I, along with our staff, immensely enjoy treating our Promisersand other patients with special needs. Whether the need involves a physical limitation, developmental delay, or any of a myriad of health issues, it is a great joy to provide care to those who otherwise may not be able to receive it.

I have been going to Ultimate Smile for 3 years. I was terrified of dentist because of bad experiences in the past. I needed a lot of work. Everyone here is so sweet and compassionate. I no longer white knuckle the chair when work is done. Being on a fixed income I had to take things slow. They understood that and I was not made to feel bad. I love this dentist and would absolutely recommend them.

Still true in 2022. I moved to Texas, but still come back for my care. Yes, that good! This is the safest dental environment and etiquette for this corona virus pandemic. I just visited and it is even cleaner and one can tell a lot of consideration was put into the practices now. A very clean and well organized process, with the expertise of this staff. Dr. Emily Millingen and her cohorts are always courteous, give the best dental advise and serve to ensure complete health care is afforded no matter your condition when you get there. They will refer you to other specialist in Brevard if that is what it takes.Always the brightest and best, dental experience from Brevard best! 1 year and counting. Get the best experience, you deserve this experience, it will change your mind about dental visits. I guarantee it. Incredible Dental office would be an understatement! Still the best 2018! You must go visit these dental professionals, theyare on the cutting edge of dentistry in all areas. Ultimate Smile Design remains my best dental office in this decade 2020, as it was in the past decade. Don't just take my word for it, make an appointment today :).

I am so impressed with Dr. Lori Nelson and her fantastic staff! Her assistants are out of this world great. You can tell by their confidence they know what they're doing. Dr. Lori made a crown for me and I am extremely pleased! Dr. Nelson is so kind, and treats her staff with the utmost respect.

Dr Nelson,Dr Milligen, Dr Brambila and staff are dedicated people, always ready to not only answering your questions but attending to your dental problems. They helped my husband with his dental care efficiently and he was very happy with the end results. Carmen and the staff were exceptional.

My daughter came in for a cleaning , and the staff were so amazing and nice. The Dr. Spoke what she was going to do before doing anything. My daughter felt safe. We will continue going to ultimate smile design. They are our new family

While Dr. Nelson is by far the best dentist I have been to, this high demand means she drops patients, and unfortunately for me without telling them. I have seen her for several years, and when I went for my last cleaning in Nov. Dr. Milligan saw me. I thought it was strange that the neither the front desk, the hygienist, or Dr. Milligan explained why she was there (since I have never met her and had only seen Dr. Nelson for years). At the appointment I just assumed Dr. Nelson was out, but then realized if they didn't bring it up then, did they change other appointments without telling me? Sure enough when I called to see who my next appointment was with, it was with Dr. Milligan. They had changed my Dr without telling me or asking, which is worse communication than I received at big box dentists. I was told by Dr. Milligan I had a cavity. I told her I didn't feel anything wrong in that tooth, but one of my molars had been bothering me (one that was previously filled). She hardly looked at it and said it was likely my gum and "I have good teeth" (no x-rays were done at this visit). Quite a difference from Dr. Nelson who always spent a lot of time thoroughly looking over my concerns. When I called to see who the filling was with, it was with Dr. Milligan. I asked the front desk if I could be put back with Dr. Nelson, she said appointments were 3 months out for her (Feb), I said that was fine I would wait. Front desk told me don't schedule, we have cancellations come up and I will call you so that should be sooner. I thought ok great, well its February, and no one has called. I should have just made an appointment, guess its time to find a new dentist.

Great dental office with very professional operators all the way through and I had the restoration of an implant, a crown and fillings and a cleaning and the fact that they have a dental toothpaste that practically eliminates cavities..I had great dental care in Maryland, but it took me a long time to find an authentic dentist here...also Dr. Nelson graduated from Baltimore Dental school and they are top notch!

This was my first visit. I heard about them on Nextdoor and decided to make an appointment. I was so happy with the hygienist, she did a wonderful job. The staff was so friendly and efficient. I felt as though they were happy I was there.

Been meaning to brag on here for months= Could not be more happy & satisfied here, from the front desk crew to Terri & all the assistants... Dr. Nelson is the BEST with her knowledge, gentleness and explanation of why & what she is doing with each step. The office is very clean, safe & comfortable to wait in---AND--- everyone loves their job & is always upbeat in a great mood. Kudos to all, stay safe & God Bless "ya'll".

Dr. Millingen and dental assistants provided excellent care. Unfortunately, I was told by the dental office (after verifying on two separate occasions) my dental guard was partially covered by my insurance and I would pay the balance. After getting fitted for the dental guard and paying what I was told to be my complete balance of $186.50, my insurance company sent me a bill for $578.00 and said the total cost would be my full responsibility. I called the office staff and was rudely told that I was incorrect and that $ 186.50 amount was not what they quoted. My co worker was present when I asked for my total out of pocket cost. Unfortunately, since they are not honoring the price that I was quoted and had paid for. I can no longer afford this to help relieve my pain from TMJ nor do I receive a refund for what I was quoted as my total payment for the guard. Get everything in writing and signed by the staff prior to any financial commitment. I am still in PAIN and have no relief in sight.

I must admit that being an adult and having to go to the dentist can often times be terrifying however, Dr. Millingen and Sherri handled me with such care and gave me not only a sense of ease but also comfort. They were both so professional all while being able to give me my smile back. I couldn't be happier or anymore pleased with the exceptional services they performed. Thank you to such a wonderful team for doing all that you do!!

I feel good about going to the dentist now. Dr Millingen and her staff make me feel comfortable and confident about my treatment. I appreciate the positive atmosphere in the office and how Dr. Millingen explains things clearly. Her laugh is infectious! Highly recommend this practice.
