Traci grew up in Grafton, West Virginia graduating from Grafton High School. Traci has known she wanted to be a dental hygienist since age 12. After high school, she attended West Liberty State College and received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She received her license to practice dental hygiene from the State of West Virginia and practiced there for four years.Desiring a warmer climate, she followed her brother to Florida in 1990, and has practiced here since. She brings to the office of Drs. Nelson and Millingen over 20 years of experience. This shows in her ability to relate to her patients in a clear, compassionate, and joyful manner. She truly cares for them as she would want to be cared for. She gives each person the best dentistry can offer while establishing a lifelong relationship with them.To achieve this, she focuses her continuing education on courses specific to periodontal health and the relationship of that to our overall health. In her pursuit, she has gained vast knowledge in the fields of traditional and alternative medicine and how they relate to dentistry. She excels in helping her patients understand their dental needs and how their overall health influences their oral health and vice versa. Striving to be comprehensive in her approach to her patients, she sees each person as an individual and seeks to know them as a friend. Her ability to explain complex issues to her patients makes her a great asset to our practice.Traci's passion is working with youth. She has volunteered in Youth Ministry since giving her life to the Lord. She exhibits great skill in relating to teens, caring for each of them as if they were her own. She also leads the dental team for Grace Church Melbourne mission trips to Guatemala. They go regularly and attend to their medical, dental and spiritual needs. She blesses us with her gifts of professionalism and fellowship.
Nakiyah was born in Melbourne, Florida and relocated to Palm Bay at a young age. She graduated in 2015 from Bayside High School. She wasn't sure what career she wanted, but she knew she wanted to be in the Dental Field. In 2020, she took charge and attended Concorde Career College for Dental Assisting. She graduated in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA and was a Lamplighter, which meant she assisted the Instructor in teaching the other students about making temporary crowns, x-rays, and other chairside necessities. She worked as a dental assistant for a couple of months trying to find her dental home, which she has now found at Ultimate Smile Design.
We are thrilled to have Nikki onboard. She takes pride in everything she does. She treats her patients how she would want family members to be treated. Seeing our patients faces light up when they see their new smile warms her heart and lets her know she's doing her job right.
Sherri is a Florida native and a graduate from Palm Bay High School in 1981. She attended Eastern Florida State Nursing Assistant Program in 1981 and worked for Holmes Regional Medical Center for several years before attending Eastern Florida State Dental Assisting Program, graduating in 1984.
Sherri has worked in the Melbourne area as a Dental Assistant and an Office Manager, working in all the specialties. Sherri owned and operated a dental temporary agency and has also worked in a local dental laboratory. Her laboratory experience is very unique and has allowed us to streamline communication and patient care.
Carmen was born and raised here in Melbourne, FL. She is the mother of one super sweet princess. Carmen has 19 years of experience in dentistry with skills from practice administration to office management. She is also licensed in dental radiology. Its safe to say dentistry is truly Carmens passion.
Ann Marie was born in Rhode Island and moved to South Florida in 1963 when her father retired from the U.S. Navy. She began her career in dentistry in 1981 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She received her dental hygiene degree as a part of the charter class of Brevard Community College in 1991. She considers herself a people person whose goal is to offer her patients a pleasant dental experience. Her wealth of knowledge is only surpassed by her gentle spirit and touch.
Ann Marie's passions are volunteering and traveling, having been to Europe 3 times, her first going as an exchange student. She and her husband of 31 years, Dave, have 2 children, Harrison and Hannah.
Roberta started her career in dentistry in 1980 as a dental assistant and brings more than 20 years of hygiene experience to our team. She has a knack for motivating patients to make caring for their teeth and gums a priority. Roberta also educates our patients about the latest restorative and cosmetic dental advances. Our patients love the gentle touch Roberta provides while getting their teeth cleaned.

Promise in Brevards mission is to provide an opportunity for adults with special needs to live full and independent lives. Promise in Brevard, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2009 as a way to provide a much-needed housing opportunity for young adults with special needs. It gives them a sense of independence long yearned for, while simultaneously living, working and thriving in their community.
Promise residents have an inclusive, safe and fun place to live, amongst neighbors who care. Promise offers vocational training and employment opportunities with on-site training and continuing education.The Promise concept was developed with the help of a special group of young individuals, known asThe Dream Team. From the amenities to the floor plans, this team of future residents worked closelywith designers since day one, sharing their thoughts and visions about everything the Promise lifestyleshould offer.
Dr. Nelsons heart has belonged to Promise in Brevard from the time she first learned about it. She was asked to join the Board of Directors by Executive Director, Betsy Farmer, about 10 years ago and has enjoyed every aspect of her service. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Board and is continually inspired by Betsys energy, tenacity, and faith in serving the special needs community and the community of Brevard as a whole.
Dr. Nelson says, Personally, Ive grown so much as a human being and as a dentist by knowing our Promisers. We are blessed to take care of many Promisers as patients. Dr. Milllingen and I, along with our staff, immensely enjoy treating our Promisersand other patients with special needs. Whether the need involves a physical limitation, developmental delay, or any of a myriad of health issues, it is a great joy to provide care to those who otherwise may not be able to receive it.
