Dr. Kayleigh E. Temple was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Although living in the big city, she has roots in deep East Texas, where her dads family still resides. After attending college at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Dr. Temple decided to spread her wings and move to the Big Apple - New York City. There, she attended Columbia University, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the College of Dental Medicine as well as a Master of Arts in Dental Education at Teachers College. Through her many extracurricular engagements, Dr. Temple traveled to Guatemala and Cambodia to provide free dental care to underserved children as well as worked in the St. Marys Free Clinic in Harlem. After dental school, she returned home to the great state of Texas to complete a 3-year residency training program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she earned her Master of Science degree and was a finalist for the prestigious Kramer Scholar award. Dr. Temple relocated to Tyler, Texas in 2015 to start working at Tyler Periodontics, where she plans to continue to grow her practice.

Dr. Temple is married to Zach Temple, a Smith County Texas Game Warden, who is originally from Lufkin, Texas. Together, they enjoy running and outdoor activities with their labradoodle, Molly. Dr. Temple is a busy member of our local community through volunteering with the Junior League of Tyler, various dental study groups, and the East Texas Dental Society. This is absolutely the BEST place for all periodontal needs. Dr. Temple is amazing. She is so knowledgeable. She has the best personality and truly cares about her patients. I am thankful that I am now one of her patients. She has removed a jaw tooth and placed a bone graft there. Today she put in the implant. She has the newest equipment and is meticulous with her surgeries! Giving 10

I recently had to have 2 teeth extracted by Dr. Temple and have usually been slow to numb. With Dr. Temple I did not have a problem with that at all and never was sore from the numbing like I have always had. The extractions went very fast and Dr. Temple was so gentle I never even felt any tugging like in the past with other dental work. Everyone in the office was very nice and easy to work with during the procedure and my follow up visit. I will continue seeing Dr. Temple to monitor me every year since gum disease runs in my family. I would highly recommend this office.

My 14-year-old daughter was referred to Tyler Periodontics for extractions prior to getting braces. Everyone was very professional, the front office staff was courteous and Dr. Temple was amazing. The treatment plan was explained thoroughly, all questions were answered. Of course, she was nervous, but Dr. Temple was very sweet and gentle with her exam. Dr. Temple extracted 4 of her permanent teeth, and my daughter had NO problems whatsoever - not even when getting numb! I want to say thank you to Dr. Temple and her awesome staff!!! I highly recommend!

Dr. Kayleigh Temple is the best! I've had dentists in Houston and NYC and she and her staff top them all. After a recent dental surgery, Jessi, dental assistant, walked me to my car and was so kind! Everyone at Tyler Periodontics is friendly and very efficient. Great place..good people!

Dr Temple did a gum graft across my lower front six teeth...I was BEYOND nervous. I am texture person and was so worried about the way it would feel, the pain, and sitting through the procedure. Dr Temple was a SAINT!! She was so great the entire process! I couldn't recommend her more. I've had multiple friends mention they need gum grafts done and I can NOT say loudly enough, DO IT!! DO IT NOW!!! The fear of it is so much worse than procedure and Dr Temple is the sweetest!!

Dr. Temple and her staff are very professional, friendly, and caring! They helped calm my nerves making my procedure a much better experience than I had expected. As much as I dislike procedures like this, if I have to have another one, I will defiantly be coming back here where I feel like I am part of the family. I would highly recommend Tyler Periodontics

I was in the office on Thursday, 8/26/21. The front office staff was rude and something was going on that had one of the employees crying. It was sad because I know she was a really kind employee and a great nurse. One of the only people that greeted me that morning. Needless to say, I will not be back to this office and will not recommend this practice to anyone in the future. The nurse left with all of her things and told to get off of the clock by Rhonda, the office manager. I have never seen anything like that in my 27 years in East Texas. Extremely unprofessional, Tyler Periodontics. I do recommend some professional help and possibly hiring some new staff. Focus on who matters and get rid of the people who don't bring any value to your practice. I sure hope they read these.

I am scheduled to have a soft tissue graft on October 23 and I am super anxious about it. The staff have been so, so helpful and have answered all of my hundred questions! And they were super easy to work with it in regards to my insurance. Not pushy with treatment and Dr. Temple explained everything very thoroughly. I feel like I'm in great hands!
