Dr. Donald Ritchie is a native of East Texas, from the small community of Grand Saline. He earned his bachelors degree from Centenary College of Louisiana. He continued his education and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, where he remained through his Pediatric Dentistry Residency.
Dr. Ritchie is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the ABPD and holds membership in the College of Diplomates of the ABPD He holds additional credentials in treatment of younger children, those with special needs, and kids who are medically compromised.
Dr. Ritchie founded Tyler Pediatric Dentistry to provide parents and children with excellent dental care in a safe and fun environment. He firmly believes that every child can have a healthy mouth with the proper guidance and education. Dr. Ritchies goal is to have a positive influence on the total health and well-being of our patients.
Cassi was born in Tyler, TX and although shes traveled extensively, she says she wouldnt live anywhere else. She has an Associate degree in Business Management Administration, and is actively pursuing her Bachelors in her respective field.
She genuinely loves helping patients and working alongside the Tyler Pediatric Dentistry team to improve oral health in the community! It is more than just work for Cassi- she loves seeing the impact dentistry makes and the happy smiles from the kiddos and their parents. Her role as Administrative Team Lead is to deliver a high level of patient care, unify the admin and clinical teams, and ensure patients (& parents) have a positive experience with us from start to finish.
Outside of work, Cassi, her husband, Wade, and their two children, Waylon and Hazel are active members of their church. They also enjoy camping, painting, crafts, and playing with their spoiled pup, Missy. Cassi has been in leadership for over 20 years and is excited to continue that journey with Tyler Pediatric Dentistry!
Lorna is a Texas native, born and raised in Canton. Growing up, Lorna knew she wanted to work in the medical field. Inspired by the family dental practice she went to, she moved to Tyler to attend TJCs Dental Hygiene program. Lorna loves engaging kids and teaching them the best way to take care of their oral health. What better reward than knowing they take her advice to heart and strive for a healthier smile! While Lornas days are spent providing her patients with efficient cleanings and education, she enjoys spending her free time doing yoga, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her boyfriend, family and friends.
Sofia was born in Henderson, TX and has lived in East Texas her entire life. She received her Associates Degree from Tyler Junior College in 2019 and joined Tyler Pediatric Dentistry in 2021. The most rewarding thing she finds as a Dental Hygienist is helping children to overcome their fears about visiting the dentist. I love it when the kids leave our office with a smile and how excited they get whenever they get a sticker or a prize. When not educating kids and parents about the importance of oral health, Sofia spends most of her time with her husband, Miguel, and their two daughters, Natalie and Isabelle, particularly visiting their school and attending sporting events.
Laura trained as a Registered Dental Assistant at Tyler Junior College. She went on to obtain her Coronal Polishing license and to become Pit and Fissure Sealant certified. Laura has more than 5 years of experience in dentistry.
Laura chose dentistry because she enjoys seeing children grow and progress to have a good experience in the dental office. She loves building strong relationships and educating families. Laura believes in treating each patient with care that is tailored to their individual needs. She works to create a warm, friendly environment where she can help to foster the development of each child who visits.
Amber, who was born and raised in Lindale, TX, knew that she wanted to work in a field where she could help others and becoming a Registered Dental Assistant was the perfect fit. In addition to assisting in hygiene, x-rays, IV sedation, and general anesthesia sedation, Amber is also CPR certified. She loves the fun and upbeat environment that Tyler Pediatric Dentistry offers. Watching our little patients overcome their fear of the dentist and the pride they show at the end of their visit is what Amber finds most rewarding about this field. Amber is an active member at Crossbrand Cowboy Church and calls her daughter, Charlie, her world. She also spends her free time fishing, bowling, visiting the zoo, and binging her favorite movies.

Amazing and sweet staff that goes above and beyond to make you and your kids feel comfortable. Second visit for my kiddos and it went great. They are so good with our 2 year old toddler and 8 year old. Definitely recommend 10/10!

I've been taking both my boys here since they were infants. My oldest is now almost 9, and we've been really happy with the service, as well as the staff. They are always friendly, super sweet, professional, and of course, gentle with the kiddos. 100% recommended by this momma.

5+ Stars!! My 3yr old was referred. We were greeted with friendly faces. Staff called us by our names. Only in waiting room for a few mins. My son had lots of energy and staff were able to direct him and keep him comfortable. Appt. went great! No complaints or concerns. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS!

The team at Tyler Pediatric Density are awesome. I have been taking my daughters to Dr. Ritchie for years for their dental needs! Unfortunately my oldest daughter graduated from Dr. Ritchie's office (she turned 16) and no longer can be seen at Tyler Pediatric Dentistry.....We have yet to find a good dentist for her. If anyone's looking for a good pediatric dentist and staff this is the place to go.

We love Dr. Ritchie and the entire staff. My 12 year old son has been going since we were very little. Our next visit will be his last, as he is graduating to adult dentistry. So very sad to be leaving. My 2yr old has been going since his very first dental appointment. We look forward to the many years of service to come!

Laura did such a good job taking X-rays on my little guy! She made the visit seem less scary. Dr. Ritchie was phenomenal! He's very thorough and makes sure you understand everything. Sophia was our hygienist and she was awesome! Everyone here had excellent bedside manner. Loved this visit and love this office!

My girls LOVE Dr Ritchie and all of his staff. Beautiful and clean office. Everyone is so kind and gentle. Dr Ritchie always talks to his patients before and after he does anything with them. He is the absolute best!

Highly recommend. They are all super sweet and even helped keep my 2 year occupied while we waited. They make sure your kids are very well taken care of and makes sure they are comfortable with everything before they use it on them

Dr. Ritchie and his staff are so friendly, and you can tell they love kids. He knows all kid-friendly movies and will sing songs to the kids. Very very very best place to take your children. I know will not go anywhere else!
