Kristal grew up in Tyler and was a 2001 graduate of RTR High school. She then went on to complete her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2006. Dr. Wilmes then relocated to the twin cities where she worked as a dental hygienist before returning to school to further her education to become a dentist. She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2018. Dr. Wilmes is very happy to return home and provide dental care to the area. Dr. Wilmes is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association the American Dental Association.

It had been years since I had taken care of my dental health and the staff at Tyler Family Dental care did not scold me or make me feel uncomfortable. I have always had huge anxiety about the dentist but the staff made me feel comfortable and talked me though everything while it was happening. They took the time to explain things and didn't make me feel like I was being rushed or pushed through. I would highly recommend Tyler Family Dental Care for all of your dental needs!

Went here for a tooth ache and got a referral for a place in SD. Not sure why a referral for a place 60 miles away when there are places 30 miles away. Any way the place they referred me to wanted 3.3k {more then double then any other root canal i've had in the past} for a root canal and they said its a hidden root that wouldn't show up on an x-ray. weird huh? I am not sure how their work is at Tyler Family Dental care but based on who i was referred too I'd take my money else where.

Dr. Kristal and her staff are friendly and fabulous! Convenience, compassion, and comfort can all be found within the walls of her dental office! Great team working at Tyler Family Dental! The staff is caring and compassionate about everyone that walks through that door. Plus you know it's a great place when your 7 & 9 year old ask when they get to go back to have their teeth cleaned!
