A dentist becomes an endodontist by completing two or more years of advanced endodontic training in addition to dental school. An endodontists training focuses on diseases inside of teeth. Dr. Rossall and Dr. Bright havecompleted tens of thousands root canal procedures over the years.

On average, endodontists perform 25 root canals each week. This level of specialization gives an endodontist unique insight into the many intricacies of each individual tooth and its canals. Therefore, he or she is an expert at managing and relieving tooth pain, diagnosing oral and facial pain, treating traumatic injuries, and performing root canal therapy quickly and comfortably.

Root canal therapy often gets a bad reputation because many times patients are in a lot of pain when they need treatment. For this reason, we work hard to accommodate emergency cases and avoid treatment delays. Our goal is to get you out of pain as quickly as possible.

Dr. Bright entered the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1969 after his junior year at the University of Texas in Austin, receiving his DDS degree in 1973. His rst three years after dental school were spent serving in the US Air Force dental corp, followed by establishing a general dental practice in Rockwall, Texas. In 1979 he entered the Endodontic graduate program at the Baylor College of Dentistry, receiving his certificate in the specialty in 1981. That same year he established, along with partner Dr. Hank Garrett, an Endodontic practice in Dallas where he practiced until 1987, when he escaped to beautiful Tyler. During his years in Dallas he also served as an instructor in the Endodontic department at Baylor College of Dentistry as well as President of the DFW Endodontic Study Club.

In 1987 Dr. Bright established an Endodontic practice in Tyler that has grown into the current Tyler Endodontics. He continues to be involved in organized dentistry, having served as President of both the Smith County Dental Society and the East Texas Dental Society as well as the Vice-President of the Texas Component of the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Bright has been recognized by Texas Monthly magazine as a Texas Super Dentist for the past 20 years. He loves spending time with his four children and three grandchildren. An avid golfer, he also enjoys tennis, fitness activities and lake time with his family.

Dr. Rossall moved to Tyler in 2006 with his wife, Carrie, so that their four children could be close to family. In his free time, he enjoys watching his kids participate in a variety of sports and spending time out on the lake.

Since moving to Tyler, Dr. Rossall has enjoyed becoming an active member of both the local and state dental community, serving as President of East Texas Dental Society and a representative to the Texas Dental Association for his district. He actively advocates for his patients on both a personal and legislative level. Dr. Rossall also promotes excellence in patient care and education by actively lecturing and writing articles, to further these goals.

Dr. Rossall believes that clear communication between patients and dental professionals is critical to helping patients feel at ease. Having preformed over 16,000 root canal treatments, Dr. Rossall brings many years of knowledge and experience to each patient he treats. At the end of the day, he wants his patients to feel fully informed and to know they received the best care available for their particular needs.
