At Tylan Creek Family Dentistry, our commitment to patients in the Powdersville, Simpsonville, and Greenwood, SC communities doesnt end, when the office closes for the day. Our dentists and team members volunteer their time, offer dental care, and provide financial support for a variety of local charitable events and organizations. We live and work in these communities, and we are passionate about making them a great place for our families and our patients' families. Some of the many community programs we support include Veteran services, programs that support current and retired school teachers, and the Humane Society. We are also proud supporters of the Let There be Mom organization that offers support to families affected by cancer, and the My Sisters House safe haven services offering support for victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Halbert has been working in dentistry for 30 years now and he's proud to spend his career in service to his community. He graduated from Clemson University in 1983 and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at The Medical University of South Carolina in 1987. He has advanced training in a number of fields, including dental implants, sleep medicine, and aesthetic dentistry. His favorite part of his job is getting to be surrounded by an outstanding staff of professionals here at Tylan Creek Family Dentistry.
Over time, Dr. Halbert has dedicated thousands of hours to residents of the Upstate through his work with the Greenville Free Medical/Dental Clinic and the Childrens Dental Clinic. He also regularly opens his doors to the less fortunate for free-of-charge dentistry and spends time in the local schools assisting with childrens dental health care and education courses. He enjoys mentoring young dentists whenever possible and is a member of several local and national dental organizations.
Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Halbert moved to the Upstate South Carolina in 1968. He is the only child of two hardworking, church-going parents. Outside of the dental office, his hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, and raising beef cattle. He has also coached varsity high school baseball for 13 years and counting!
Dr. Burns has been working in dentistry since 2008. He has his Bachelor of Science from Ohio University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University. While at OSU College of Dentistry, he was actually able to combine his love of sports and dentistry as one of the student teams dentist, he received valuable training in both sports dentistry and dental trauma.
Originally from Lebanon, OH, Dr. Burns spent three years practicing in an underserved area of Ohio before choosing to move his family to Simpsonville. He and his wife Katie have two daughters named Claire and Caroline, a dog; Annie, and a cat; Simon.
In his free time, he enjoys following any sport, especially Ohio State football, being outside with his kids, hiking, boating, and fishing. Before going to dental school, Dr. Burns actually worked in highway construction for two years!

This is the best dentist I have ever been. I was always so scared of dentists. I had to have 2 teeth extracted and was very scared and nervous and had my doubts but the dentist was so nice, understanding and made sure I would not feel any pain and he was right i did not fee a thing and after the extraction i came home with no pain. I definitely recommend this dentist. I am so happy I found them. Thank you so much! You guys are the best.

Tylan Creek has been the best dentist office I've been to in years! I had a wonderful experience w/ Dr. Hiott just yesterday. I was extremely anxious about the situation (needles, I HATE needles), but she kept me calm and alleviated my fear, leading to an essentially painless repair of my tooth. Amazing dentist, I was seen quickly. I had a wisdom tooth extracted at an awesome price and it healed very quickly and i'm extremely happy with their office! Will be going back for future treatments

This place is great! They fit me in on a same day emergency and I was seen fairly quickly. The front staff, the assistants and Doctor were exceptional. They have definitely made lifelong clients out of our family as long as we live in Simpsonville.

Jessica and Dr. Ramey made me feel so comfortable during my initial consultation. I have never felt more taken care of at any kind of medical practice than I do here. I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I am not nervous about going to the dentist and I look forward to getting the work needed and my smile back to being healthy.

I highly recommend Tylan Creek and their compassionate, friendly, and professional staff. After working me in on an urgent basis, I was greeted warmly and treated with such care that surprised me, as a brand new patient. They provided immediate care and ensured that I had relief, answers, and a plan. Everyone from door to door was excellent. I won't go anywhere else now.

Oh my goodness! Cant say enough good things about this place. On a Saturday afternoon had a tooth that had to be pulled. Dr Forrester waited until i got off at 6:00 pm and took care of the problem so I wasnt in pain all weekend. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing. Dr. Burns and the nurses I encountered were amazing. From the initial phone call to payment Everything and everyone was amazing. Quick affordable and polite. With a tooth abscess. I was in and out the door within 2hrs. Including new patient paperwork and removing two teeth. Highly impressed with staff and would recommend to friends and family!

Let me start by saying i have not been to a dentist in a long time.had a bad pain and no dentist could get me in called tylan and they got me in and took care of problem. from the ladies at front desk to the nurses in back and the doctor i dont think u could find a better dentist office.i am hard to impress but they impressed me.thanks again to everyone at tylan in simpsonville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
