At Tylan Creek Family Dentistry, our commitment to patients in the Powdersville, Simpsonville, and Greenwood, SC communities doesnt end, when the office closes for the day. Our dentists and team members volunteer their time, offer dental care, and provide financial support for a variety of local charitable events and organizations. We live and work in these communities, and we are passionate about making them a great place for our families and our patients' families. Some of the many community programs we support include Veteran services, programs that support current and retired school teachers, and the Humane Society. We are also proud supporters of the Let There be Mom organization that offers support to families affected by cancer, and the My Sisters House safe haven services offering support for victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Halbert has been working in dentistry for 30 years now and he's proud to spend his career in service to his community. He graduated from Clemson University in 1983 and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at The Medical University of South Carolina in 1987. He has advanced training in a number of fields, including dental implants, sleep medicine, and aesthetic dentistry. His favorite part of his job is getting to be surrounded by an outstanding staff of professionals here at Tylan Creek Family Dentistry.
Over time, Dr. Halbert has dedicated thousands of hours to residents of the Upstate through his work with the Greenville Free Medical/Dental Clinic and the Childrens Dental Clinic. He also regularly opens his doors to the less fortunate for free-of-charge dentistry and spends time in the local schools assisting with childrens dental health care and education courses. He enjoys mentoring young dentists whenever possible and is a member of several local and national dental organizations.
Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Halbert moved to the Upstate South Carolina in 1968. He is the only child of two hardworking, church-going parents. Outside of the dental office, his hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, and raising beef cattle. He has also coached varsity high school baseball for 13 years and counting!
Dr. Burns has been working in dentistry since 2008. He has his Bachelor of Science from Ohio University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University. While at OSU College of Dentistry, he was actually able to combine his love of sports and dentistry as one of the student teams dentist, he received valuable training in both sports dentistry and dental trauma.
Originally from Lebanon, OH, Dr. Burns spent three years practicing in an underserved area of Ohio before choosing to move his family to Simpsonville. He and his wife Katie have two daughters named Claire and Caroline, a dog; Annie, and a cat; Simon.
In his free time, he enjoys following any sport, especially Ohio State football, being outside with his kids, hiking, boating, and fishing. Before going to dental school, Dr. Burns actually worked in highway construction for two years!

I recommend Tylan Creek to anyone that is having dental issues. I've never in my life have experienced a dentistry like Tylan. Everyone that I have recommended to Tylan has an awesome experience. I hope that they have become regulars. They get that 5.0 rating honestly.

I have been struggling to find a dental office I was comfortable with. The entire team at Tylan Creek was absolutely amazing. Dr. Tompkins Ramey is hands down the best dentist I have ever had. My mom and I just moved to Taylors and we were so lucky to get referred to Dr Lancen Halbert. Dr Lancen Halbert is Outstanding. He is beyond gentle and explains everything he is going to do prior to doing it so we were totally prepared. He answered all of our questions and was very patient. He gave us all the time we needed. He is a gentleman and a wonderful dentist. His staff is excellent. Jessica assisted Dr Halbert with my mom and Madison did my cleaning and Dr Caitlin Hiott checked my teeth and they all were exceptional. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. Tylan Creek is a family dental practice that really cares about their patients and we so appreciate it.

By far one of the best and most professional experiences I have every encountered from an dentist. Being in the medical field myself, an RN, I tend to look at procedures and medical specialists differently. From the very first phone call to the initial consultation to the actual procedure all personnel at Tylan were very professional and polite. The building and exam rooms are very clean and efficient and they had me in and out less than an hour for every visit. I cannot recommend Tylan more. If you have any dental needs you won't go wrong by choosing this place. ***Update*** Went for a second appointment. The staff at Tylan continue to amaze me with their compassionate care and top-notch professionalism. As someone who harbors a deep-seated fear of dentist they always go the extra mile to ensure I'm completely comfortable. Cannot recommend a better group of dentists and staff employed by Tylan.

I took my son here a few weeks ago for a cleaning, as we needed a new dentist. I was very happy with the service provided for my son, so I made myself an appointment after neglecting my teeth for a few years. I went in today for an evaluation and cleaning, But had other pressing issues with my teeth that were bothering me. I saw Dr. Burns at first, who was awesome and amazing! So nice and made me feel so comfortable! After having some x-rays and talking to the dentist we decided to proceed with fixing cavities and a tooth extraction. I was so nervous but Dr. Forrester and AmandaWere so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Well, as comfortable as I ca be while having a tooth pulled! They were so nice and fitted me in today, when I wasn't even scheduled for what I had done. I highly recommend Tylan Creek To anyone new in the area looking for a Dentist or anyone looking for a new dentist! Had a filling done with Dr Forrester. He is an excellent dentist. This is the day after and I can barely tell from a comfort level I was even at his office. Great dentist, great office and a great atmosphere. I 100% recommend. He is also a really person.

So just went in for my first appointment to have a pretty serious cleaning done the past the couple dentists I've been too would have awesome futures in the torture industry but these guys and gals at Tylan Creek WOW! very knowledgeable patient walk you step by step and very friendly would recommend anyone who is like me and scared of dentists to go there
