Everything I do is focused on helping those who come to me for care. Relieving pain, restoring function, brightening smiles, and guiding people as they develop better dental habits are some of the ways I help my patients. As important, I think, are the less tangible things I offer: a non-judgmental ear, an encouraging word, and a safe space where each patient has my full attention.
I want my patients to know they are important to me and to our team. We value each as a person and treasure every long-term relationship that develops as we work to achieve lifetimes of healthy smiles!
Having grown up in Mauldin, South Carolina, I graduated from Mauldin High School in 1997. Knowing I wanted a career that allowed me to make a difference by helping people, I decided to pursue dentistry.
My undergraduate education was at Clemson University, where I graduated from the honors college in2001 with a bachelors degree in biological sciences. Dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina came next; I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2005 and have been in practice ever since.
Dental school gave me a solid understanding of the science and art of dentistry. That said, dentistry like all areas of healthcare is constantly advancing. Ongoing research leads to improved methodologies, innovative technologies, and new materials.
It is my responsibility to stay current on the latest developments: studying each and incorporating the best into the practice and patient care. By adopting those options which improve diagnostics, treatment planning and procedures, and outcome, I strive to provide patients with the leading-edge dentistry they deserve.
As an active member of the Academyof General Dentistry and American and South Carolina Dental Associations, I have access to numerous meetings, seminars, webinars/online courses, and refereed journals. Each year I complete many hours of continuing education to stay informed of new options and trends.
My wife Kat and I married in 2003, while I was in dental school. In 2005 we made our home in Greenville and now have four daughters, along with a Chocolate Lab named Sister. Time with my wife and children is my priority when Im not in the office. I also enjoy gardening and woodworking, along with fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
It is an honor to serve my hometown, working closely with each patient as they develop and maintain optimal oral health. I love helping people achieve their dental goals and maintain their healthiest, most beautiful smiles!
