Dr. Reem S. Shafi, CEO, Two Rivers Dental is the epitome of modern dentistry. She received her dental degree in 1998 and is a proud alumna of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. After her graduation, she relocated to Chicago, IL and opened her first dental practice by 2004. During that year of running her own practice, Dr. Shafi realized she had much more potential and decided to open a second practice. Now, a decade later, Dr. Shafi owns several practices, all of which are located in and around the Chicago area. Her company now employs over 140 employees and 30 dentists.
During the course of her professional career, Dr. Shafi has won numerous awards including her induction into Temple University Fox School of business League for Entrepreneurial Women Hall of Fame for the year 2013.
Dr. Peterson specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and treats a wide variety of patients of all ages. He has been placing dental implants since 1987, has extensive experience in implantology, and has successfully treated many dental implant patients throughout Chicagoland.
Dr. Peterson graduated with a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School. He furthered his training and education through a program focused in Anesthesiology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Hospital College of Surgery.
Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobbies include traveling, tennis, skiing and the outdoors. Dr. Peterson also practices law and teaches at a university.

The Dr.Atassi is a wonderful Hygienist he takes very good care of his patients however Dr.Xu is amazing & does a wonderful job on his patients as well I know sometimes I ask alot of questions & I like to also make sure of things so he makes sure he explains things to you & that your comfortable & he is doing everything like it should be done & everything feels good & your not in any pain before you leave Also the manager Megan is wonderful as well to the patients she makes sure all my account is correct, my appointments, & my treatment plans are correct as well & I Appreciate that I absolutely love my dentist office.....I alwz recommend people to them...

ELENA is excellent I've been coming here for years but I had to switch because the office was going through too many changes and I don't want diff people working on my mouth every time...but they have this new hygienist Elena and she is The Bomb!!! She is kind knowledgeable professional and she actually cares about your teeth. ask for her if you go here!!

I don't really like to give 1 star, BUT toady experience was worst!!! My son is a patient over 2 years here, check up's every 6 months... And as is end of year why not to make extra money from patients... the 4 year old kid, without any dental issue have to take an X-ray!!!! And doctor refuse to do his check up. Unfortunately we have to find another dental office. This is not a business doctors, is patient HEALTH first.

I went to Two Rivers because my general dentist does not do extractions. The office staff and dental assistant were all very caring and friendly and Dr. Patel removed the problem tooth, which had curved roots, in about 10 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful for such caring treatment throughout the process.

Love coming here to get my teeth cleaned because the front desk workers are so friendly and my Hygienist Alma is friendly, quick, and does a thorough job. My teeth always feel cleaner than ever before when I leave.

Watch out! The dentist talked me into something I didn't want, and it caused way more problems and pain! I went in for 1 crown they said I needed, even though they never showed me x-rays or proof of why I needed it, and I had no pain or symptoms. During the appointment to get fitted for 1 crown, they said they discovered a "small crack" in another tooth and should give that one a crown at the same time. I was hesitant. I saw no x-rays or proof of why I needed a second one and felt no pain. But they insisted it would get worse and within a few weeks it would break, and I would need an implant which is more expensive. Of course this has never happened to me in my life, but they scared me. So I agreed. I found out later they were charging me MORE THAN DOUBLE of the original cost because "my insurance ran out." So now I've committed to them taking two of my perfectly good teeth and replacing them with fake crowns for $900, and I don't even have any problems with the teeth! They give me temporary crowns and say the permanent ones will be in within a couple weeks. I ask what to do to take care of the temporary crowns, and they said you can do everything normally except don't eat anything chewy for a couple hours. I don't eat all day. Then ONE DAY LATER I am brushing and flossing my teeth and the new crown (the second one I didn't want) pops off. Now I am in pain. They drilled down my original perfectly good tooth to nothing, and the nerves are exposed. It's horrible. They caused this. So I call to get an appointment to get it fixed immediately, and they are closed and have just an answering machine. NO EMERGENCY NUMBER. So I have to suffer all day today and miss work tomorrow to hopefully get the problem they caused fixed. Be cautious of dentists. The one who worked on me bragged about his BMW. They look in your mouth and see $$$$.

I've been coming here for some time, but yesterday and today I had the pleasure of having Elena as my hygienist. She was AMAZING. She really cared about my teeth and treatment plan. I'll be booking appointments with her for cleanings from now on.

One of my tooth needs a root canal, I went to two rivers for a second opinion. Dr. Xu is very patient to listen my history, took several X rays to compare. It's a tricky situation, he made a good decision to open the right tooth. Dr. Xu has excellent skill and knowledge, and stuff in the facility are very friendly too. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely loved my visit here! I had Elena as my hygienist and she was really kind and gentle! Although most often I have trouble getting my teeth cleaned, she did it well and painlessly. Felt very comfortable and welcome. All other staff at reception were nice as well. Dr.Xu also was very kind and thorough with the check up. Will recommend to others!

Great office with amazing staff. The front desk admin. assistants were amazing, there was no question gone unanswered. My Dental Hygienist, Anna SUPERB JOB!! During my deep cleaning, she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. She numbed me up and and I felt no pain anywhere; I almost feel asleep, lol. During the middle of the cleaning she could tell that I was tired of holding my mouth open so she asked me if I would like a dental pillow for added comfort; it worked like a charm. Amazing staff.... They all get 5 stars in my book!

We went to Two Rivers Dental for the first time last Wednesday. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed with sedation. The staff made us so welcome and answered my many questions! Megan at the front desk was so patient with us and was so sweet with my 17 year old daughter. She made her feel comfortable and checked on her when she was in back and I got nervous. She was wonderful! Great office!
