My parents told me I first started drawing when I was two years old. While growing up, I fell in love with horses and used to draw portraits of other peoples horses for them. I spent countless hours at the drawing table, hoping to bring a smile to the recipient's face. Now I have the privilege of bringing that smile to an even wider audience:Dentistry became a way for me to be artistic and also improve people's quality of life.In today's fast-paced world, I realized that quantity and speed were the norm in most practices. My desire to spend more one-on-one time with patients and do the level of work that I would be proud of led me to start my own practice, where I could live out my vision on a daily basis.
Dr. Feng is also an accomplished artist and photographer. When not working on making teeth beautiful, she spends her free time drawing, painting and taking photos. She also enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband. A four-legged canine named Kaia joined their family in September 2019, and baby Norah arrived in April 2020, right in the middle of quarantine!
Home: Dr. Feng moved from upstate NY to NC in 2004 and is proud to call it her permanent home. She chose to set up her dental practice in Holly Springs because it's a community where she would like to raise her own family one day.
Education: Dr. Feng is a double Tar Heel, having earned both her Bachelor's and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. Every year, she takes over 100 hours of quality continuing education courses to stay current on the latest technologies and improve her skills.
I enjoy working in dentistry because I love getting to know patients and helping them achieve their ideal smile. I got interested in dentistry my second year of college when I realized how important a pretty smile is for people's self confidence. I enjoy knowing that I can help someone boost their confidence by helping their smile. I'm very social and enjoy each visit with awesome patients. I look forward to meeting new people everyday.
Amanda was born and raised in Garner, NC where she lived until she got married. She now lives in Coats, NC. She has has a wonderful 4-year-old horse-loving daughter who is her pony riding sidekick, and a 1-year-old active son. She grew up on a horse farm where she learned how to ride horses from her parents, who also rode all their lives. On the weekends you can find her riding horses in shows and rodeos or on the boat at the lake.
Working in dentistry became a dream of mine about 3 years ago when I realized I wanted to work in a field that makes others feel good about themselves and build relationships along the way. Helping others smile makes me smile. Teeth are always the very first thing I notice about people. Building relationships with my patients is my favorite thing about this field and making them smile is even sweeter.
Jada was raised in Clinton and plans to raise a family there as well. Eventually, she would love to move to the coast. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, going to the beach, and playing sports. She loves people and is very outgoing!
Sharon is from Greenbelt, Maryland and moved to North Carolina in 2008 with her husband and five boys. She lives in Apex, attended Wake Technical College Dental Assisting program, and has been assisting and helping patients for over 6 years. Sharon loves making her patients feel at home and developing a bond that helps to relieve their dental anxiety. Sharon likes to grow orchids, train her German Shepherds, and spend time with her growing family (she is expecting her first grandbaby in 2021!).
