I witnessed the dentist humiliating the hygienist in front of me....so unprofessional and mean. I ha e seen this before from the female dentist there and wonder why she feels the need to do that. Must be an unhappy work environment for those who deal with her. Using my maiden name as not to have them know who I am. Am tying to find a new dental place but their all not taking new patients.

I would like to share my experience with Twin City Dental in Bangor Maine. The best accommodating respectful caring staff I have ever had in my 50 years of going to a dental facility. I recently started going to Twin City Dental and they set up a plan to evaluate and set up a plan to completely get me back to saving my teeth which others I had 3 other offices mind you kept telling me to get a specialist and would turn me away. Twin City Dental initiated a dental plan starting with scaling top and bottom roots. 3 teeth extractions and with continued cleanings and care things are 100% better. I highly recommend this dental facility. Pain free and such a relaxing environment and experienced caring respectful staff. Dr King you are amazing and so is your entire staff. Thank you. I finally found my comfort level with you. Robert Blevins Mount Desert Island.

Called to get price out of pocket for a set of dentures was told $1399 for top and $1399 for bottom. Called back to ask about the website saying $799 for full set and was told it is $799 for tops and $799 for bottoms. This is false advertising and is against the law.

The dentist lacks conviction.

My husband has been trying to get new dentures now for several months. He has had several appointments. He was given the wrong teeth twice, and had to start the process over. We asked Dr. King's Office Manager to have her call us, but she never did. We were told that there would be an alert on his next dentures so that when they came in, they would notify him immediately. Well, I called today for an update. His new dentures came in last Thursday and we were never notified. They scheduled him for next Monday without letting us know. So his teeth sit in their office for another week and half. To top it all off, they want their payment up front.

Horrible. I am still getting bone fragments a year and a half later from my guns. Not to mention, the top teeth were so ill fitting, they'made throw up ev ery time I tried to put them in. And, she had the nerve to agree to remake them at my cost. She should give up her practice, because, obviously, she needs more practice!!! Do not go there!!!!!!

My husband found this office to be very helpful. He needs extensive dental work, and Dr. King was willing to discuss all options with him, with treatments ranging from $2,000-$20,000. We found the honesty refreshing, as she was open about the fact that he could have what he needed done for $2,000 or so. We have recommended other friends and family to the office as well.

A month ago I had a full set of dentures made at Twin City Dental, my very first visit to them. Dr. King Was excellent in her work and professionalism. This was my 3rd set of dentures and I had high expectations because my others wore out and my denturist turned passed away. They took my impressions and had my wax set in 2 weeks and made more adjustments. They were quick to make my permanent sets and got me in one last between patients and adjusted one spot. Directly after the appointment I went out to lunch and had corn on the cob !!! My final thoughts are : Very natural color match (many compliments). Recommend Twin City Dental highly, very friendly people. PS: insurance companies should not reflect on these people fine work.

Was on a wait list for three months. Got called to set up to be a new patient and my appt was booked for a month later. The day before, they verified my appointment, and then a few hours later told me they needed to cancel and were no longer taking new patients. After calling back to try and get my appointment back I figured why would I want to go to a place like this. Save your time and go someplace else.

Every procedure they have performed has been abysmal and failed prematurely....the only thing they did successfully was a simple filling which they didnt even color match right and left a sharp edge....after the thousands i gave them and having to spend 10 grand to have proper dentists fix their shoddy work i realized they sent me to collections for a few hundred dollars i allegedly owe after i went for a loan...effed me for 10 grand and ruined my credit...shouldve listened to the other people who said not to go there....

If you are thinking about going to this dentist because they are in network with your insurance.. dont! Mike and his hot head (the finance manager) is awful to deal with. he will threaten to send you to collections for money you don't owe. This practice has the idea that it is okay to bill their patients the difference of what the CONTRACTED rate is, for an in network provider. The office also doesnt tell you when you have a balance, instead they send you a letter in the mail saying you're about to be sent to collections.(for money they should not get since they're in network). When you bring to their attention that theyre in network and the insurance company also calls to explain that they can't bill for the difference. Mike decides he is done with you and tells you to find another dentist office. He cleared my bill in the end, which they should have done anyway. Anything over the contracted rate for an in network provider is supposed to be written off by the company. If you do have issues with this, make sure to show up in person as Mike will hang up the phone on you. Dr King seems to be a good dentist, but she went right along with Mikes bipolar attitudes. If Dr King is the owner, then she should be making these calls. Not hot head Mike.

I saw the car making a statement about it being a rip off. I could not agree more. They don't stand behind their work. I went to this practice for 35 plus years. Dr. John Mabee was terrific. He met me in his office on a Sunday night when I had a horrible abcess. I paid for some pretty expensive work for my daughter that the dentist, not the owner, said after she was done that day that she said it probably isn't going to work. I wish she told me before I spent $2,000 plus. It is pretty unprofessional when Dr. KING Was working on my teeth and threw the "f" word around pretty freely. I had two great hygienists over the years. Both left the practice. I always wondered why. I would never return and neither would the rest of my family.

Went in for upper removals first couple appts went great then appt was 400+ dollars at end of so called appt they said next appt would be 400+ dollars. They called to confirm the appt and said I would need 1000+ dollar's this enraged me told them I adjusted my bills and worked OT to get the 400 so I canceled the appt. My wife called back said we will pay it. To make long story short I kept telling them somthing not right with uppers eventually few adjustments later they said my gums had shrunk so bad I needed new set and I would have to pay at a discounted rate

So, here is our experience with Twin City Dental. I highly recommend that No One uses this Dental Establishment! As we arrive there. There is a van across the street protesting calling this place a " RIP OFF". That was our first sign. Second my son being 20 I told him that after the reviews we read that if he felt uncomfortable to walk out. In which he did. Stating Never again!! He had got referred here by another dentist to have all 4 of his wisdom teeth pulled out. Now with that being said. My son had talked to Twin City on a few occasions. My son specifically asked if they pulled wisdom teeth. Their response was yes. It's also, listed on their web site that they do. So, as he entered this shack on State Street in Bangor Maine. He noticed holes in the walls and floors. Even some holes he could see ground underneath. Spaces were separated by sheets of plywood. It was very dirty. They stated to my son that the panoramic X-rays that his dentist sent via email In March was incripted and they could not open it. They also, stated that they tried contacting his dentist several times to get the X-rays and they were not available and could not get in touch with them. Which is a flat out LIE!! Nothing was ever mentioned during his phone calls. As we could of picked them up. They never mentioned anything. That's all a part of there scamming method to get people to pay Cash, then Bill your insurance making double the money. Any person with common sense and knowledge of how scammers work this is a place in full scamming mode. So, my son's insurance covers all Dental in full. No out of pocket expense at all. Not even a Co-Pay!!! They stated to my son that they needed a Panoramic X-ray done today and that he would have to pay cash out of pocket. It was a very hefty amount at that. Something that also, i will talk to investigators about. So, with that being said. After seeing and reading the reviews. Plus, seeing the Protester who has been there for weeks. I put two and two together. They are SCAMMERS/CON ARTIEST!! Milking the Insurance Companies and also Milking Clients.. The reason Insurance is so Costly. Because of Offices like this... What they would have done Is charge my son's insurance for the office call and the panoramic x-ray. Then charged him CASH only for the Panoramic x-ray Again!! That's called Double Dipping and is against the law in a big way!! Cash Never Should have been asked for Period. Not with the Insurance my son had. So, it's an automatic sign they are scammers. There's No question about it!!! So, they picked the wrong people to do this too. I'm not gonna protest. But, I am going to REPORT you to a lot of different agencies in the State Of Maine. Attorney General's Office, The Maine Medical Board, DHHS, and More!!! Because you're done scamming people!! Also, seeing where we drove 4 hours one way to get there. 8 hours round trip plus waisting Our Time. I will be sending you a bill for our Gas, Milage, wear and tear on our SUV, Meals, and our Time that was lost on a wild goose chase!. You will get the Bill by next week.. If you Don't pay the Bill I send you for waisting our time, Lying, and trying to Con us. We will take you to Court!! Also, I am going to push this as hard as I can with the above named agencies I mentioned regardless if you pay or not!! Like I said you messed with the wrong people. From Lies, to Insurance Fraud, and Fraud in general!! This is not even close to being done with!! You need to be closed!! Also, your Medical License's need to be revoked!! So, People Be smart and Choose another place to go for your Dental needs. DO NOT GO HERE!! ZERO STARS THAT BAD!!!! PS: I had to add one star to post... Not worth that at all!!!

Paid my life time copay, paid $400+ for my appointment (said that's what I would owe) fine. Got a $600 bill stating there was a mess up with MY insurance, I called my insurance and they said completely different. Twin city read my insurance % wrong. If I KNEW I would be paying that much I wouldve looked elsewhere. They yet haven't made it right. I was supposed to have a normal cleaning done talked to the finance lady twice to find out how much as if I was going to be charged a load again I wasn't going to go. She NEVER called me back to tell me. Im cancelling my appointment.

My family has gone to Twin City Dental for over ten years now - my kids have had everything from cleanings to teeth pulled to braces and have always received great treatment. My only issue is they are not part of my insurance network.
