Dr. Brian K. Cook was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2005, he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of South Alabama with magna cum laude honors, before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010. After dental school, he completed the Six Month Smiles certification program, which allows Dr. Cook to provide short-term braces to his adult patients. His dedication to continuing education has taken him through extensive training in areas of dental health such as aesthetics, smile design, removable prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
With a passion for serving the underprivileged, Dr. Cook spent a year working in the public health field of rural North Carolina. At this time, he was provided an opportunity to work in private practice in Thomasville. However, his draw to come back home to Alabama eventually brought him to Huntsville. He also volunteers regularly with 8th Street House in Huntsville to provide essential dental care to the residents at no cost.
As a dentist, Dr. Cook enjoys the opportunity that he has to build lifelong relationships with his patients. His conservative approach to dentistry ensures that maximum time is spent with each patient during the treatment planning process and the implementation of minimally invasive procedures when possible.
Dr. Cook and his family are members of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where he currently teaches the Junior High Bible Class. He and his wife Esther and their four children enjoy camping and cycling throughout Northern Alabama.
I have a severe dental anxiety and not only are the ladies of the office exceptional but Dr. Cook is very understanding and non-judgmental. They do excellent work and are very forward with what is most important vs. what is not a priority at the time (if you need dental work). Also, they have a great referral program!

I've been a patient here since ~2014, and I have always had a positive experience. Dr. Brian Cook is very professional but also warm and personable. I have also recently been seen by Dr. Kestner (sp?) and she is so friendly and professional as well! Ms. Amber is definitely the show-stopping hygienist and loves her job! She is incredibly fun and always makes me smile (to better clean my teeth I bet!). I highly recommend this location!

After dealing with a very bad tooth every single person has been very compassionate and kind through the whole process. And I mean every single staff member is always friendly and they make you feel as if you are the only patient they have. My husband and I have been coming to this office for several years now. I had a medical issue a year ago and Dr. Cook diagnosed and treated it perfectly. Professional, knowledgeable, and excellent service! I strongly recommend Twickenham Family Dentistry. The front desk and dental hygienist are cheerful and fun to be around. Dr. Kestner is a good listener and answered all of my questions and identified a gap in my molars on my first visit. A few days later she closed the gap with a filling so that my teeth are touching again with no more food trapping problems. It was quick, painless, and very well done. Thank you, Dr Kestner!

I usually have Dr. Cook operate on my teeth and he is fantastic. Last time I had Dr. Kestner and she did an interstellar job with my first crown. I don't think I've ever had someone numb my tooth so thoroughly (dental/tooth pain is a big fear of mine). I've also always had an easy time talking with each dental hygienist I've seen at all my appointments. Twickenham Family Dentistry makes me feel like I'm in good, trustworthy hands.

First let me state I have a high anxiety about going to the dentist (bad experience) but the moment I walked into Twickenham Family dentist I was greeted by a very pleasant lady named Stephanie and was made comfortable right away. I then had a wonderful experience with THE BEST dental hygienist who is the happiest person in the world and was awesome and even on my second visit was amazing. Amber you absolutely ROCK !!!! Then of course the man himself Dr. Cook never have I had a dentist that answers my concerns and questions and just had time for me. Twickenham family dental is the absolute best place.

I have been coming to Twickenham Family Dentistry for over a year now and I know they deserve this review. Dr. Cook is a great man and dentist who only picks the best people for his practice. The receptionist is always kind, sweet and smiling. Amber, who always cleans my teeth, always greets me with a wave calling me friend. Dr. Cook himself has worked on my teeth when I had to get a crown in. More recently though I've been working with Mindy and Dr. Kestner on some fillings. Dr. Kestner may look young but she's a seasoned pro. They are a great team and always make me feel they care about me as a person and not just my teeth. I don't usually tell the dentist when I feel pain because it doesn't bother me but she was concerned because "It would make[her] feel bad." It's plain to see that she cares about her job and the people she's working with. I know that with Twickenham Family Dentistry, my teeth are in good hands.

I had my first visit with Twickenham Family Dentistry today and was very impressed. The entire staff was so friendly and professional. Dr. Kestner and her assistant Kaitlyn were superb and made me feel at ease during the entire visit. I was able to meet Dr. Cook who is also top-notch. I love this office and am glad I decided to make an appointment. I highly recommend Twickenham Family Dentistry.
