Dr. Brad Twaddle completed his D.D.S. degree at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1995. He went on to earn his M.S.D. at the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Twaddle has been practicing in the Columbia, Missouri, area since 2001. He specializes in orthodontics for children, adolescents, and adults. Always striving to provide his patients with the best possible orthodontic care, Dr. Twaddle has established a fun and comfortable environment for everyone.
Dr. Twaddle is involved with many professional orthodontic and dental organizations. He has the distinguished status of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, World Federation of Orthodontics, Missouri Dental Association, and the Midwestern Society of Orthodontics.
Dr. Twaddle is passionate about community involvement. He is a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Rotary Club of Columbia. Being a Mizzou alumni and wrestler, Dr. Twaddle is a huge supporter of the Missouri Tigers Wrestling Club. In his spare time, Dr. Twaddle enjoys being outside on his bicycle, traveling, and spending time with his children, Kathleen and Owen.
Education is very important at Twaddle Orthodontics. All clinical team members complete certification training in Orthodontics Expanded Functions, and pass the Dental Assisting Basic Skills Mastery Examination. We continue our education by attending AAO conferences and several other advanced training opportunities throughout the year. The entire Twaddle team is dedicated to educating and involving patients and parents throughout treatment, making the entire process a comfortable and satisfying journey.
Mariah can usually be found in the clinic, but you also might catch her running around the office making sure supplies are always stocked, organized, and tidy. She is a key assistant in the clinic, with a passion for working in the dental field. She graduated from the dental assisting program at State Technical College, and first gained experience with an endodontist. Mariah possesses the knowledge and performance of a highly skilled clinical assistant, making her a huge asset to Twaddle Ortho. She is also our office OSHA manager. When shes not working, Mariah enjoys spending time with family and friends and cooking up new recipes in the kitchen!
Susie can be found in the clinic most of the day. She is recognized most by her sweet and calming voice. Any patient sitting in Susies chair is sure to be relaxed and comfortable! With a background working as an assistant in oral surgery, Susie is very technically skilled and attentive to detail, making her an excellent clinical assistant. Susie is also a part of our marketing team, helping to expedite events and parties for our patients. In her spare time, Susie enjoys staying active and spending time with her fianc and their girls.

For some reason I started thinking back to when I had braces and wanted to look up Twaddle. I got my braces done when I was 6th or 7th grade, so about 14 years ago when the office used to be at Cherry Hill. Even though I didn't do good with the retainer and ended up drying them in the dryer a couple years ago so my teeth have shifted a little, I'm still so happy with my teeth. Twaddle was so amazing back then and so we're all the girls that worked there. He worked so well with my missing tooth and the snakebite piercing I had lol I actually remember when I got the second lip piercing done I hid it from my mom so when I got to Twaddle one of the girls talked me into telling my mom I got the other side done, it will forever be my best memory at a dental place and I always felt so comfortable with all of them. I will forever be grateful for the positive experience there and the memories I had. Braces weren't the greatest experience due to just the pain but Twaddle and the girls made it into a positive one.

Don't recommend if a transfer... they told me I had 2 to 4 months left IF THAT.. my original treatment was until April 2023. I'm very unhappy with what I recieved... the young girl knocked my bracket off twice and it's not even attached to my tooth and it has receded back to its original place.. she made my mouth bleed twice. They could NOT get any of my bracket doors closed and put tyes on brackets that don't need them. I went home closing 2 to 4 brackets everytime. They did not know what they were doing with my braces and still accepted me and my money. They should have been honest and told me no... the ortho. I currently switched to has opened my eyes alot on the situation and I feel ripped off and jipped and unhappy with my progress at this location. My new ortho. Is finishing me off with every critique I'm having and doesnt make me feel uncomfortable about who's working on my mouth because the girl here at twaddle was working on my mouth gave me very nervous , she didn't want to work on me vibes and she couldn't even get any of my bracket doors open without hurting my gum and making it bleed or knicking it, saying ill have dr twaddle open them and he never does and she never says anything to him about not being able to get them open...like theres no communication there between dr and assistant...I felt very uncomfortable and insecure here... i had concerns over gum discoloration and gums hurting and purpling and was told it was nothing. I have a very low infection in my gums... ridiculous . just my personal experience, but do your research before switching your orthodontist and treatments !!! Because my mouth is now jacked up and someone else Is fixing it and I'm paying more. I wasted my money and time here. Sorry for the rant just very disappointed about the experience I didn't deserve it.

My daughter received her braces at Twaddle orthodontics and her teeth are ruined . She has cavities on every tooth surface . We fixed 3 last year and after this weeks cleaning we are scheduling to fix 10 more cavities. While she had braces never was I told that she needed to brush more . Our dentist advised that when he sees things like this after braces it is because someone put the bonding materials on the whole surface instead of where the bracket would go. I do recall a lot of new faces at Twaddle in Columbia at the time . Perhaps students ? When I questioned Twaddle, he got extremely upset and defensive with me . (Hard to picture, I know) He pulled up her photos taken during treatment. Every one of them showed no plaque buildup so my question is, what caused damage to all of her teeth?? I might add that I did call their Columbia office and left a voicemail and they never returned my call . Hopefully Alayna was a rare case for this practice

We love Dr. Twaddle and his staff. They are all so friendly and welcoming. They are great at answering any questions that may arise. We recommend him to any that is looking for an orthodontist! Blake thinks you are the best Dr. Twaddle!!

Highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to fix their teeth/bite. Very professional and friendly place for all ages. They were able to continue my orthotic work that were put on in Europe with no troubles at all. If I could give a 10 star review I would!

My braces were put on 02/19/2019 and I just got them taken off 10/21/2020 and will continue my follow up appointments here. Dr Twaddle and his entire staff have always been super friendly and professional. They listen to any questions or concerns you have throughout the process and answer each of them. I will ALWAYS recommend Twaddle Orthodontics!

Noticed my permanent retainer was loose in the morning, called Twaddle Orthodontics, and they scheduled me for that same afternoon. Every staff member was friendly, the service was prompt, and they charged me half of what other places were quoting. Highly recommend!

Extremely helpful service, I got my braces off around a year ago but still was able to go back for any issues. Scheduling was very easy too, sometime I was able to change my appointment the day of and still get it changed within the same week. Extremely friendly staff and easy to work with :)

My last orthodontist was not the best and when I came into twaddle the got me fixed up right away and after 5 years (2 years with twaddle) I FINALLY have my braces off and absolutely love my smile Highly recommend super friendly and their Columbia office is beautifully set up. Very high class.
