An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

I have the pleasure of knowing Dr. Alex Sharifian for a long time and his expertise and knowledge in the area of dentistry has been and continues to be outstanding. He has established a team of professionals to compliment his very successful operation. Special thanks to Lena Ho, Hygienist for always being there and Michele, Office Manager and Maricela, Front Desk Supervisor for making sure patients are taking care of. I would give a ten-star rating if I could. I am also excited about the addition of Dr. Christie Scolaro to the team. Staff was great during my first visit, however the policies this dental office has are questionable. I had my checkup and cleaning in November. Fast forward 9 months, and they won't let me book a cleaning appointment without also having a dental examination. Per my knowledge, dental exams are done on a yearly basis (minimum) or as needed...Not every 6 months (as the receptionist indicated). Seems to me like a money grab so will be looking to go elsewhere. EdIt: called staff per their suggestion below. No craps given, they just repeated that they can't give me a cleaning appointment without a dental exam. No thanks, I'm not your piggyback. Will go elsewhere.

This was the best dentist appointment I had in 15 years everybody was friendly, nice and courteous. This was the first time I've been to the Tustin dental office and orthodontics. Great staff and Dr. Alex is the second best dentist, I've been to in my life. thank you all so much for making it a pleasant visit to the dentist office.

Tustin Dental & Orthodontics is the Best Dental Office I have been. I am 66 years old and have experienced quite a few Dental Offices. The front office is professional and friendly. You feel taken cared of. I was treated by Dr. Lyad Sood and Dr. Christie Scolaro and again I cannot express the professionalism and high quality of Dental Care received.

Time to look for a different dentist office when...... they call you to reschedule the 6 month appt a day before your appt and want you to come back two separate times for the dental cleaning vs. seeing the dentist. When requesting single appointment, they tell you the soonest they can get you in is in 4 months. Good customer service would've been to say "let me see what I can do & get back to you with the soonest availability"

From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by Ruby and Michele at the front desk and they check you in promptly. This has been the case every time I have visited this dental office. Dr. Sharifian is really knowledgeable, professional and makes you feel comfortable. He informs you of any concerns he may have and explains the suggested treatment, really easy to talk to. Lena is a great hygienist, she is very friendly, thorough and gentle. I saw Dr. Sood for crown lengthening and was nervous about it but he's very personable and makes you feel at ease, the procedure was over before I knew it. Dr. Nguyen performed a root canal and it was a totally different experience than when I had one years ago. I didn't feel a thing. I saw Dr. Oh on an emergency visit and she was very nice, professional and thorough in explaining the diagnosis and treatment. I have nothing but great things to say about Tustin Dental. The entire staff does an excellent job and I highly recommend them to all my family and friends!

Tustin Dental office is exceptional. Especially during these COVID times, they take every precaution and inform you well. The office manager is very professional and informative. The dental assistants are very kind and make your experience comfortable. Dr. Oh is an honest provider and will give you only the best treatment. Overall, this office is very professional and comprehensive in their care. I recommend this office for those who appreciate honest work and authenticity.

I have a painful neurological condition that is affected by touch on my face. Understandably, I am terrified of any dentist office. Dr. Oh and the staff in the office have and continue to go so far above and beyond to make me feel safe, secure, and go out of their way to ensure they do not cause even the slightest of unnecessary pain. I have scores of specifics on this (i.e. draping cords so they do not come close to me, using the softest of touches, giving me warm blankets and dark glasses to calm me, and so many more including giving me a birthday card and gift because I spent about three hours there on my birthday), but I could never truly express how they have eradicated a genuine (and valid for me) phobia of the dentist. Anywhere else would have just treated me like a whiny patient, and ignore my pleas to help me. Not here, not this place, not with Dr. Oh, or the Hygienist Andrew. This place is so good, I literally choose my insurance plan based on if they cover this office. I cannot stress this enough, if you have a fear of dentists, if you get a tightness in your chest and a pounding in your heart when you even think about making a dentist appointment..... make an appointment here with Dr. Oh. Her and the office staff will take GREAT care of you!
