Dr. Angelina Browning is so committed to excellence that she has undergone Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency training. AEGD provides unparalleled postdoctoral training in a clinical program. Investing in AEGD training raised our doctors level of proficiency to that of specialists, enabling us to provide every patient with a level of quality and a range of services usually unavailable in a typical general dentists office. She also takes over three times the amount of continuing education training required annually, so that she can offer the most up to date techniques and the highest quality care to her patients.
Our patients get more for the time they spend with us here at Tuscarora Family Dental Care, and we are usually able to complete their entire treatment plan without referrals to other offices even when they need advanced or complex care!

Dr. Browning grew up in Cross Lanes, WV and moved to the Eastern Panhandle in the Spring of 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Latin from Marshall University. She attended Dental School at West Virginia University and also completed an additional one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she held hospital privileges and provided dental services to homeless veterans. She is additionally certified in the use of lasers, nitrous oxide and oral sedation. She is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA), the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Dental Association (ADA). In the fall of 2021, Dr. Browning joined a handful of dentists nationwide who hold a Fellowship through the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI).
Her love of dentistry was inspired by her late grandfather, Dr. James LaCava. Her interests include functional and holistic medicine and dentistry, physiologic dentistry, conservative restorations, prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and implant dentistry. She takes great pride in the quality of her work and the trust her patients place in her. She always attempts to make patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visits and puts great emphasis on a positive patient experience. She enjoys spending her free time traveling, reading, learning about nutrition and functional medicine, hiking, and loving her golden retriever, Johnny Cash.
Dr. Smith grew up in Hedgesville and attended Hedgesville High School. He later went on to receive his dental degree from West Virginias School of Dentistry. He gained valuable advanced education and training while completing an additional one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Smith is certified in laser treatments, oral sedation, and SMART-certified through the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). He is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
He takes great pride in providing dental patients under his care with the highest quality dentistry using the most up-to-date technology and treatment techniques eliminating the need for excessive referrals. Dr. Smith will always tell you that his commitment to patient comfort is his highest priority, to change the perception patients may have of dentistry due to past experiences. Hes happily married to Dr. Browning and a proud co-parent to their loving therapy dog, Johnny Cash. He loves traveling, exploring the mountains, visiting historic cultural sites, hunting, and fishing.
When you enter our office, you will be greeted with an abundance of tail wags from our very own in-office comfort dog.If you would like, he would love to come back into the treatment room to hold your hand or act as a weighted blanket. He was selected from a line of golden retriever service dogs and has been in rigorous service-dog training since he was just a puppy. Hes an extremely sensitive, affectionate boy, and he was born to please and comfort anxious or fearful patients.
