Dr. Kimberly Parker was born and raised in Birmingham, AL where she graduated from Ramsay High School with an Advanced High School diploma. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabamawith a double major in Biology and History. She attended and graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry where she was inducted into the Omicron Omicron Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society (OKU) earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Dr. Parker completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program from Lutheran Medical Center. During this 12 month program, Dr. Parker received training on and regularly used nitrous oxide and oxygen, oral and intravenous sedation techniques. She also worked with medically and dentally complex patients and received advanced training in implant placement, oral surgery, advanced grafting techniques, implant prosthodontics, CAD/CAM restorative technologies, as well as adult and pediatric preventative dentistry. Dr. Parker has placed over 150 implants.
Dr. Parker is a member of many professional dental organizations such as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Alabama Dental Association, West Alabama Medical Association, and theAmerican Association of Women Dentists. She is also passionate about providing free dental services to veterans and underserved patients. Dr. Parker volunteers in her free time at a clinic that serves individuals who are in recovery programs, faced with homelessness, or have limited opportunities for dental care.
Recently, Dr. Parker was awarded the Academy of General Dentistry's Fellowship Award. Only 6% of General Dentists have earned this. Dr. Parker had to complete a minimum of 500 CE's and also take and pass a four hour exam.By distinguishing herself professionally she continues on this lifelong journey in the profession she loves!
Veronica was born in Los Angeles, California. Her family moved to Ellaville, Georgia where she lived for 8 years. She then moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 2006. She loves working in the dental profession. She attended Shelton State Community College where she attained her dental assistant certification in 2019. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to different parts of the world.
Diane Baker joined our team in 2018. Her extensive dental experience enables her to handle our Insurance billing with accuracy and thoroughness. Diane is always prepared to tackle difficult dental insurance issues and to confirm the proper dental benefit outcome while practicing strict confidentiality. She is committed to work closely with our team, sharing the mindset that our patients deserve the best care.

My husband and I have been patients of Tuscaloosa Dentist since 2008. We have never had any problems with it's services. This early morning (11/7/2022) My husband has done his teeth cleaning without any problems, while my appointment (supposed to be at 10:30am) was cancelled without noticing me in advance. Yesterday (10/31) they texted me a least 3 times to reminder me of my appointment this morning (11.7.2022 at 11am). So I arrived at the dentist office front desk at 10:30am getting ready to sign in like I always did every year in the past. They told me that they just cancelled my appointment without notifying me in advance. Their attitude looked like I am not welcomed anymore. I really would like to know why.

Excellent care with Dr. Parker and her staff. We had a few hiccups with intake as a new patient but the receptionist remedied it right away. Dr. Parker was able to do all do the work needed in a short time and with little pain to my girl (who was a ball of nerves). All of her work was able to be done in under half an hour! The staff and Dr. Parker were attentive, thorough, and pleasant. We'd make the drive back for what my girl says was the "best dentist ever".

Pleasant atmosphere and staff but my only complaint is that months later after a service has been paid for upfront due to waiting periods from dental insurance, I've still received invoices with no explanation of what the payment is for. I understand out of network fees, but being billed for a service/services that I assumed I was paying for during the actual visit is extremely confusing and ridiculous. The last visit was a routine cleaning...I've now gotten an invoice for X-rays and something else that I should've been told about at the time of the visit bc I paid for it beforehand. The actual cleaning went well though. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

These ladies always exceed my expectations! All of my visits have been stellar, from my cleaning, wisdom tooth extractions, and root canal. Such a relaxing, caring, and pain free environment. Feel like family. So glad I chose this place.

Dr. Parker and her staff are courteous and professional. They are also very patient with my 7 year old and makes each visit enjoyable for him. Dr. Parker is also an expert in her field- she is knowledgeable and provides open and honest advice.

I went for a cleaning and exam. They did the exam and not the cleaning. Said it was close to their lunch hour, but had they told me that when I booked the appointment I would have chosen a different time. So I went and didn't even get the service I was going for.

Tuscaloosa Family Dental is the best!!! Every since I been going there, the experience has been nothing short of AWSOME!!! The atmosphere is great, the entire staff is AWSOME as well!! Ohhh and I can't forget the GREAT work that is being done to my teeth is absolutely great. I have to say!!! They are by far the best dental care place I've ever had.
