Dr. Jeffrey Collura purchased the practice from Dr. Andreas in 2010. Wow how time flies! Although originally from Lancaster, Pa (no, he is not Amish), He has spent most of his adult life in New England. Jeff graduated from College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, Ma with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. He then moved to Cambridge, Ma, working as a lab tech in a molecular genetics lab at Belmont Hospital, part of Harvard Medical School. During this time he was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he completed a one year general practice residency at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington Vt. Here he received extensive training in oral surgery and clinic based dentistry. After completion of this program, he worked as an associate in a private practice in Warwick, RI. During this period, he received training and gained experience working with Cerec technology, performing same day crowns. Dr. Collura is very excited to now offer this technology to his patients.
Since taking over the practice, Dr. Collura prides himself in modernizing the practice and bringing state of the art technology to Turners Falls, Ma. In only a few short years, we have added computers to every operatory, digital radiography, intraoral cameras, new endodontic equipment, electric handpieces (Quieter drills), and most recently the Cerec Omnicam! We have also added an AED defibrillator and medical emergency equipment. Dr Collura also prides himself in the pursuit of knowledge, through continuing education courses, for both himself and his staff. He is a member of the local study club and dental society, attends annual dental conventions, and seeks out weekend courses that expand his knowledge and skills. Dr. Collura is the former president of the Hampshire Dental Study Club, and current co-leader of the Western Mass Cerec Study Club.
